    Hi Kristin can u explain to me what creamer powder is? I can’t find any product that called creamer powder. Is this milk powder?

    • @BubbleTeaKristin
      @BubbleTeaKristin  2 роки тому +1

      Hi 👋🏼
      I just did a quick Google search and typed in 'Bubble Tea Creamer Powder' and loads of different options came up.
      I'm not sure which country you are located in, but perhaps the search engine is only showing you products for your region.
      Creamer powder is basically a mix of different ingredients to help give the milk tea a creamy and thicker consistency. Like a very thick milk. And sometimes if you go to a bubble tea shop and you try a drink and it is quite watery, it is because they might skip this step or not using enough, and the consensus of customers would be that they don't enjoy that, but instead prefer the creamier consistency option.

    Oooh nice! Where to buy or how to make that brown sugar syrup to squeeze inside the cup please? 😍

    • @BubbleTeaKristin
      @BubbleTeaKristin  2 роки тому +1

      You can find specific syrup like the brown sugar syrup, tiger brown sugar syrup, and things like this for the trend, through manufacturers or distributors from Taiwan. I've not yet seen this syrup available in stores for home consumption, unless you get it through a monthly bubble tea subscription service type thing.
      Hope that helps🥰
      If you're a bubble tea shop, then definitely contact your distributor to see if they either have it as a new product or can obtain it.

      @@BubbleTeaKristin Ok thank you! Is it possible to also make the syrup yourself at home? 😊

    • @BubbleTeaKristin

      @@xK311yxx yes totally!!!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
      Some bubble tea shops cook their boba, and then they 'cook it' by the customers and just pour a bunch of brown sugar in and cook the brown sugar down.
      I would say that that's probably a really good technique, which I use in my video 'how to make tapioca pearls at home from scratch' where once the majority of the Boba is done cooking, then you cook it a little bit longer in the brown sugar.
      What happens is the brown sugar is quite moist and it melts down and becomes really really thick. The longer you cook it the thicker it will become.
      You can add loads of brown sugar at this point and then that way you can take a spoonful of the extra brown sugar and put it around the cup before you put the boba in, or you can just grab a ladle of the boba and put it in your cup and then do it that way.
      Both will give you a very similar effect.
      Or you could probably look up online how to melt down the brown sugar. I would think you really don't need that much water like a sugar syrup solution, probably just the brown sugar will melt down quite nicely, maybe with a teaspoon in there for a smaller amount or something.
      It's easier then you think, but be careful as sugar does have the possibility of burning. Low heat and keep an eye on it

    • @BubbleTeaKristin
      @BubbleTeaKristin  2 роки тому

      Hi Jose 👋🏼 Best to add some whipping cream in the mix to give it a thicker consistency so the customers don't feel they're just getting plain milk.

    • @BubbleTeaKristin
      @BubbleTeaKristin  2 роки тому +1

      Not sure of the brand they use in their shop, but probably non-dairy creamer powder that they import from Taiwan. He speaks more about this in Part 1 of the 2-part series. It would be from a bubble tea manufacturer supplier. 🤩🤩🤩

    • @BubbleTeaKristin
      @BubbleTeaKristin  2 роки тому

      Oh, I understand your comment more more. Basically no, but also yes. 😂🤣
      Yes in the sense that it is some sort of creamy milky consistency that's been made into powder form.
      With it being non-dairy, usually it's vegan, but the Coffee Mate creamer isn't actually vegan, at least in the UK.
      But the coffee mate creamer has flavors added to it believe it or not to make it taste good with coffee!!!
      Each creamer powder on the market is completely different, even in the bubble tea industry. So when you buy creamer from a bubble tea supplier, there might be two or more options available to a business in terms of flavor, how it feels when you drink it, the thickness of it, and of course the ingredients as well.
      So if you are just at home making it for home use, then I would recommend a full fat powdered milk. If you can't get a hold of that then you can use coffee mate, but it might kind of give off that coffeeish flavor if you use too much of it.
      Alternatively if you are able to get creamer powder from a bubble tea supplier, that is what will make your drink taste like it does coming from an actual bubble tea shop.
      Hope this explanation helps 👍🏼😇
