Thanks for the info! Always a Gen 1 community supporter. Your truck is just like mine, except mine is a supercab with suicide doors, 2010. I've been doing research on the process just lately, and wanted to maybe have mine done as well.

What is name of the system you have for your truck? I have a 2013 svt set up Baja addition
I just bought a 14 se SVT Raptor I am still trying to learn the truck, I was wondering if you could do a video going through the modes, and showing us some of the capability of those moods.

The Gen 1 just has the off road mode, that changes things like throttle input and shift points, also some other things also like air bad deployment sensitivity I think.
The truck is very capable!! My Raptor is still my overall favorite vehicle I own.
@@TheAllAmericanDriver man I am falling more in love with this truck every time I drive it. I’m more of a muscle car guy, but I actually think I love this truck as much if not more than my 1999 SALEEN S-351.
87,89,91,93 octane tune?? Agree 5 star made a world of difference!
Yeah I guess I should have clarified. I am on the 92 octane "street" tune. They sent over a couple others, but honestly this is more less perfect for my style of driving.
Your Raptor looks great. I have a 2011 and have been considering tuning it. I agree with those factory shift points. Side question, do you go through any roll thru car washes and if so any issues going through them with the a-pillar lights you have up front?
I had no issue with the A-pillar lights. They are the Baja Designs LP6 which I am sure are rated for much more torture than a car wash. I do however, find that with the width of the Raptor sometimes the car wash leaves a slim dirt strip down the center of the truck. LOL
@@TheAllAmericanDriver yeah I meant more on the lines of the wash mitt things getting caught up around the light. My lights down low are BD and they are great. Great channel by the way.

I had a pedal commander it was ok but the pedal was super sensitive to where the truck would buck on take off if I didn’t feather it correctly-does the 5 star have similar issue? Thx
Truck accelerates smooth! Plus if you wanted something specific I am sure they can adjust it to your liking. I’ve never tried a pedal commander.

The bumper was actually made custom by a local metal fabrication guy, but it was based off of the evil mfg prerunner bumper!
Looking for advice. I have the Fist Generation F150 SuperCab 6.2 Liter Raptor. Looking to change my exhaust out from a dual passenger side exhaust to the classic Dual Split Rear Exhaust system. Anyone recommend a system that will fit my size vehicle. A guy I’m working with is telling me that I’ll need to remove my spare tire underneath. I seen several videos that show the Super Crew version using the Dual Split exhaust and wonder why that piping would also not work. Thanks in advance…
Sorry I don’t have any experience. The Gen 2 and 3 raptors have dual exhaust and a spare tire so obviously it can be done.
LOVE My new to me 2013 with only 89K miles on it. It has AFE intake. stock headers and exhaust. I could only imagine intake with headers too. Great looking truck. I have the Silver ADD front bumper with wench and LEDS. love the look with that year. previous owner had DiabloSPORT trinity i1000 tuner that is no longer supported. i am desperate to get out of the stock tune that i think is in the truck. the 6th gear by 40 is killing me. wont work with what ever tune was in it. I think the dealer I bought it from flashed to stock tune. how does a guy know how to fill out ECU Strategy/PCM code if we go to order from 5 star? If we select send later does the tuner Identity what strategy is in the truck? Does this tuner only change PCM. does TCM change?

I used 5Star Tuning! I HIGHLY recommend them for the Gen 1 Raptor! Tell them I sent you and you might get hooked up!

the 6r80 shifting to highest gear is very annoying, its worse for those of us with the work truck 4.6 3v regular F150s. It up shifts way to much and then has to double downshift when you want to accelerate. Glad to hear 5 star takes care of that issue. I was looking at their tuning since TFL channel also endorses the hell out of them.
When you got your exhaust, did you throw a P0430, if so, did the tune take care of it?
Nope the truck never threw that code.
I miss my commutes in my gen 1 can’t wait to find one again.

@@TheAllAmericanDriver I traded down for a GS 450h. I'm in place where a big American truck is not practical. But as soon as i'm back in the USA i'll trade this in for another one.

Is there a version for a roush supercharged version because i added a roush supercharger and the tune we have on it is not the best and id love to get this 5 star tune but want it to work with the surpercharger

So awesome to see where you have the truck now compared to all the problems and issues you had with it after getting it. Now the only thing you need is an Eaton off an 03/04 Cobra lol

My 2012 Raptor has no problem off the line. I would prefer a top speed of 200 + km/ hr, for sure. I go Offroad more than pavement in my truck. Have fun, go Offroad

Who did your engine rebuild? What was the cost? I have a 2013 Raptor super cab with over 160,000 miles.
My local Ford dealer at the time did a long block replacement. I think the bill was around 10K but luckily I got it covered under an extended warranty.
Were the headers worth it? I got 115k miles on mine and I’m on the slippery slope of doing unnecessary upgrades 😂
For the sound... yes. I say embrace the magnificent 6.2 and make it sound as good as possible. My black truck sounded SO good!!!
I miss my first gen now lol I have a 2019 just not the same lol 😂

What’s the over all cost to gettting it tuned?
I would reach out to 5 Star and ask for a quote. They offer many different options and hand held devices, I actually went with the cheapest option!
How many miles did you have when you had too swap the engine ? Was looking at buying one cash with 100-120k miles on it
If I recall it was around 90k. For the most part these engines are pretty bullet proof. If it was well maintained I wouldn’t worry to much.

@@AdambrookshireII222 It's slower than my tuned Gen 2 Raptor. But it had more initial low end torque for sure.

I really only considered 5star. They are well known in the Gen 1 Raptor community and have a great track record.

They sent me a handheld tuner with the tunes pre loaded.

Thanks for stopping by the channel!! I actually had a local metal fabricator do the bumpers! By going through a local guy I was able to get exactly what I wanted and it was cheaper than a lot of the name brand bumpers.

How many miles on the truck ?
Recently I had a new motor put in the truck. So that’s at about 2500 miles or so. 85k on body.

This was in Washington State but Im in Florida now.
