    I own the same 2013 GLK250 since new, now it's 210k km, I changed the rear diff oil at 190k, the oil was clean, so you don't need to change the front diff at all. Mercedes dealer said these gear oil never need to change. transmission oil was drained and topped up 6L when installing field measure during the recall repair. But I am still going to change the transmission oil again at 230K anyway. The Ad-Blue fluid heater is a pain, being repaired a couple of times under warranty. another than that, everything else has been very soild. by the way, I started to use LiquMoly Super Clean diesel additives since last year, it makes the engine runs much more smoothly...

      Thanks for the info about the diffs. DEF heaters seem to fail in every modern diesel, not just Mercedes.

      Joseph would a dfp delete be a better long term out of warranty option?

      @@a88888888a I am not a fan of a delete, so I am the wrong person to ask. Seems like the emissions system in the GLK250 is pretty robust, and with the AEM, all the components will have low miles now.

      @@a88888888a I've just recently heard of the delete systems and my understanding is they are very effective and in my opinion would be highly beneficial to the vehicle. More HP and torque as well as better fuel consumption. So if you're using less fuel doesn't that lower emissions ?
      I'm looking at this or BMW.
      The bodies hold up amazingly well and just last week I ran into a guy who had a 2013 X3.
      First the car looked like it had just come out of the showroom, body was mint. The car had 190000KM/118000miles, It was deleted and tuned getting over 45MPG on the HWY. More beneficial to the engine as the the EGR is not getting plugged and restricted. Hope this helps.

    I've own this model since 2016 and I really like it. But, the all AdBlue thing, is a pain in the neck, sensors and stuff... paid quite a lot of money in the years for that type of problems..

      @youtoobe169  4 місяці тому

      A lot of that is covered now by the AEM warranty and I think they will reimburse you for prior repairs

      @@youtoobe169 Well, I bought my car second hand and that type of stuff wasn't covered. as I said, I had no luck with that particular aspect. there are a lot of things that can go wrong with that system, it was probably one of the first even Mercedes had to deal with and the design itself it's not the best, probably (I have a 2012 model). In a few instances I had the engine light going off while traveling on the motorway, having to deal with repair soon after. Hope I'm done with that. another thing, is the odd positioning of the Adblue tank, not exactly "user friendly". With that said, with the yearly services at Mercedes, still a fun drive to drive, I really like the engine, the gearbox, still good at 164,000 km. All the best sir!

    Hey man, hope this comment gets to you… I want to buy. 2014 GLK 250 bluetek same as yours. It’s got 54,700km on it I’m in Canada, and they’re asking for 20k before warranty.
    Can you please advise if this is a good idea or purchase?

      Knowing the service history and current condition is extremely important so make sure you have a thorough PPI done. Also, even with the low miles I think the price is way too high. Good luck!

      hey Ben. Live in Toronto and I own a GLk250 2015. I have it since brand new. I own it since 2015 and onward. The car have 200 000 km on it with minimal maintenance. Like 2 oil change a year and of course break , rotors pads. Would give you an advice. The engine of this car is a 1 million mile engine. However Canadian Diesel is cr*p. Do yourself a favour and fill up the diesel tank only with V-power Diesel and you will never ever ever have a problem related to emissions. Things such as DPF, Ox2, EGR etc. Even if you drive city only you won't have a single problem. Also worth note it. This car is notoriously known for having problem with Real Drive shaft. You would expect the shaft to fail around 250 000km and that axe is pretty expensive.
      For everyone who mention that AD-blue system is a pain please do change your gas station. North America Diesel fuel is cr*p because they add paraffin [basically wax] it's cheaper this way but clogged all your filters, O2, DPF, EGR , Throatle etc. Fill it up with decent Diesel and you will never have a single problem with Ad-Blue system. Worth Note it. IN Canada Emission test is not mandatory anymore for personal vehicles. For less than 1200$ you can Stage 1 and EGR /Ad blue delete. Cheers
