Hey guys! In this video, I walk you through a basic tutorial on how to create a realistic rendering inside of Twinmotion. In future videos, we'll get more in-depth into Twinmotion's features, as well as how to make renderings more realistic. Leave a comment below and let me know what you thought! :)
Hi Justin, Thanks for the tutorial. I have a model done in Archicad and synchronize with "no merge" and "no substitutions" options. It is sitting up above the twinmotion default ground. I couldn't make the change as you did in this tutorial. Am I doing something wrong ? Cheers.
Hi Justin, I'm using Revit and don't see any tutorials here for that in particular. So my problem is that when I try to select the exterior staircase in TM and make it concrete it automatically selects the railing as well - which doesn't help at all. Any suggestions?
I’ve just started! And honestly this software is very easy to understand! I’m using it in my MacBook Pro M1 and is working absolutely fine. Ty Sir, you’re a life saver! I’m an interior design student and i was very confused for softwares that would work on my mac. Ty Sir. Looking forward to learn more in this tutorial! 👍🏼
The is leaps, and bounds above Art-Lantis. I was using it back in 1999 alongside ArchiCad, with similar drag/drop/ size tools, but the speed, and real time rendering is just phenomenal by comparison!
nice guess on what ordinary people needed & explained clearly enough....well done & its time to buy some shares of unreal because of its bravery contribution on rendering though i am penniless!!!
I am really enjoying your Twinmotion videos. I am an archicad user and twinmotion is quickly becoming a go to rendering option for archicad users. I was going to pay 300 to take an online learn at your own pace course, but really feel. with your videos, this is something I can tackle with out the course!!
Awesome! I have thought about creating a more detailed course specifically for Twinmotion, but haven't had time yet. In the meantime, this should be helpful hopefully :)
Hi thanks for another great tutorial. You can add a "Dome" to get better sky's. Then take a panarama photo of you area an add it to the dome. Turn the dome / photo to get just the sky you want.
@@design401 use "wasd or the arrow keys on yor keyboard to move around the model and go through the wall, if it doesnt allow you press "m" on your keyboard and try again. (I am also an interior designer just starting my career)
Thanks for sharing. Twinmotion looks like a winner, easy to use, very realistic and hassle-free props. On top of all of that it’s free for now. It seems like a perfect fit for SU. The only downside is that you have to apply materials twice, once in SU and then again in twinmotion. Blender seems to have the edge there with full integration but of course Blender is a monster to learn and apply.
I suppose the integration with Blender is nice, but it would mean you'd have to completely learn a new 3D modeling program that works very differently in SketchUp in some ways. Honestly, I've never struggled too much with replacing textures either in Twinmotion or Lumion (they both work in similar ways) - once you get used to applying your SketchUp textures in a way that's easily replaceable, it doesn't take very long. I suppose if you did it with a LOT of models it might get cumbersome, but I really think you'd end up spending just as much time in Blender trying to figure out all the node based settings...
nice videos, I really like. Do you have any video to explain how works gi in twinmotion? Because i am doing a exterior scene and inside come a white light betwen the celling and the wall… : ( I know is a problmem with the Gi. but i dont know how to fix it. thanks

Here you go - twinmotionhelp.epicgames.com/s/article/TwinMotion-System-Requirements - I think the GPU requirements on this one will be at least somewhat high, though I'm able to run on the lightweight or mobile modes on a different PC and still generate decent results
Thank you for sharing us your experience through all the video tutorials... In some comments at other youtube videos, I found some people talking about what they call ( Skydomes)..!! I Don't know if you had make a tutorial discussing that inside Twinmotion..!!?
just wondering y some one would have thumbs down on such a tutorial.am new into twinmotion but it is as if i already know every thing i have been using artlantis but am finding this easier to use. thnx for the video
what I hate about twinmotion is the way, the balcony looks on your image. no matter if the surface is facing the ground or is perpendicular to the ground - looks the same (in terms of the shadow). is there a way to fix this ?
To place Trees along the line you Shif-Drag the first one to copy it (drag it into place along the line) and then change the number of copies in the "Copy-Window" that has opended. That way the software places lets say 5 more trees with the same distance and angle to the original one
Thanks for the video! Helped me so much. I have a question: for while, i'm using the student version. Is there a difference between this version and the commercial verson regarding the rendering? Thanks!
Looks great though i still think Lumion has the upper hand in rendering quality, even when you invest more time into a twinmotion project. Can't beat the price though ;-) I Always like these tutorials, nice and simple and to the point. I already learned a lot from just watching your stuff.
Question. Is twinmotion a separate rendering engine or is it the same as enscape where there is a plugin within the 3d modeling software like sketchup?
I'm sure you'll eventually get to this but is there any sort of adjustment that can be done to the materials themselves; both within Twinmotion's library as well as creating your own? Adding bump/normal maps, adjusting brightness, metallic, transparency, etc.? Also if you create your own can it be saved within Twinmotion to be used much quicker later?
Thank you very much for all your uploads. Would you show how to expand libraries of Twinmotion? There should be more localized trees and flowers. Is there a way to download some library files or make some custom components to twinmotion library files to expand?
There is a way to add custom models, but I haven't had a chance to dive into that yet - I'm trying to get a series of tutorials on the basic functions done first to build off of - thanks!
Hi Justin, thanks for your great videos, I am just starting out on twin motion ( thanks to you pointing the program out) . One thing that I am not sure about is .... if the imported sketchup file has been changed ( further developed inside sketchup) ... can you synchronise / update the source model inside twin motion without overwriting all the improvements made in Twinmotion I.e. materials, lighting, landscape props etc? If yes how do you do that? Thanks David
Theoretically yes, but my understanding is that sometimes changes do get overwritten. You may want to test this feature before relying on it to make sure it does what you want. Thanks!
Great video! Question: do you have a video that explains how to control materials when bringing in a model from SketchUp (or even Rhino > SketchUp > TM)? Whenever I import a .skp, it fuses everything into one material and I can’t specifically select or change exact materials - the whole thing just turns one material. You have a video for this, or thoughts?
I don't understand - do you have multiple materials inside your SketchUp models, then they all become one material in Twinmotion? Or you haven't applied materials in SketchUp and whenever you apply a material in Twinmotion it gets applied to your whole rendering?
i downloaded this thinking i could design my own architectural home. :( is there another program for that that looks like this and is easy to design homes with?

Oh boy... I always pause these tutorials and then follow along with the application. But I am using a magic mouse on my iMac and having a rough time getting the model to rotate and move. Sigh...
I mean, I am, but as a general rule, the best mice for 3D modeling programs seem to be the two button mice with scroll wheels because you use the wheel to zoom in and out so much. In addition, clicking the mouse wheel down is often used to orbit in 3D programs. I have no idea if you can configure a mouse with no scroll wheel to mimic these actions. It's not really a "Mac" vs "PC" thing as much as certain peripherals perform better in certain applications...
