So happy for this. My only logged multi-engine time is in the Trimotor. The EAA has one that they take on tour offering rides, and it came to my local airport when I was in high school. I volunteered the entire week I was there. As a thank you the pilot offered me a ride in the right seat, and let me take the controls and put down 0.6 hours in my logbook. The AH/Asobo one just doesn't do the plane justice. Can't wait to pick this one up. Also: it flies exactly like how it looks- like a big corrugated metal shed. And controlling a plane with what is essentially a car steering wheel is a very odd feeling.

I got the same, pilot let me fly the Trimotor during the ride. Went beyond my bucket list 👍 Awesome experience!

I have purchased this version and have just tried flying it in VR. It is stunning, it runs smoothly and the cockpit details are amazing. I am looking forward to many hours of flying in this beautiful aircraft.

I can't believe it, I grew up with this airplane! Back in the 70's, I was a teenager flying Cubs in San Jose Ca. We belonged to the Antique Aircraft Association. N9651 belonged to Irv Perlich at the time and he kept it at the Flying Lady museum in Morgan hill Ca. Ken Bunker and Ray Stevens flew her in the sixties and later Len Von Clem and Lyn Maguichi flew it in the 70's. The flying Lady was a restaurant, aircraft museum, and golf coarse. When ever they took it out, they would use the golf coarse for the runway. I flew it twice with Len. I remember it being very heavy on the controls and it required a lot of rudder in turns!! Someone said to me one time that flying the Trimotor was like driving a log truck with flat tires. And boy was he right! This aircraft was also used in the Harrison Ford movie, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. The scene with Harrison Ford and Kate Capshaw with the boy boarding the Ford was filmed at the now closed Hamilton Air Force Base North of San Francisco. It now resides at the Kermit Weeks aircraft museum in Florida. I have not seen her in many years and I'm very happy to see her again in MSFS 2020!

That art is outstanding. I can't believe how good the materials look.

Grabbed this one and looking forward to running some 1930s air mail routes (might even let a passenger or two join in).

Just finished flying the plane and it works great. Hoping the developer adds some wind noise when the window is opened during flight. One of the best parts about this plane is that it has autopilot for those longer flights.

Trimotors made excellent STOL aircraft for mountain pilots here in Montana. Johnson Flying Service pioneered getting in and out of short, high altitude mountain strips. Did their best to "Fly the biggest piece back"

Some people complain these planes are not sleek and to old...I am at a loss with these comments...
Well let me make things clear, I am on the opposite side of the spectre...the older the plane the more adventurous it feels...the plane coffs, rants and rumbles, there is this smell of oil n gasoline in the air and the whole thing is a contraption of ingenuity...oh and that wood work on the interior, astonishing travel back in time, what a beauty she is! This one is up there, but my favourite so far is the Boeing 247D which is just perfect!

Not heard of TukanFlightSim before but what a fabulous job they have done on this aircraft! Probably not one I’d purchase tbh but I look forward to seeing what else they bring to market. Great review (as always) Jonathan 👍

Gorgeous!, and sounds so nice. Thanks for showing us around and the so-good flight.
With the drone camera walkaround, are you aware that when in drone mode (I use my "Insert" key), you can utilize the F5 F6 and I think F7 & F8 to slow/speed up the camera?. When using my F5 key I hold it down for a short time to slow down the camera's speed. If I hold it down too long the camera will come to a stop, and I need to press the F6 key to get it to slowly move again. A bit fiddly, but has enabled me to walk up/down stairs; one step ata time using up-forward, repeat, etc
    🤠🙃

Looks and sounds great. The Asobo version was a bit lacking. Hope this goes to xplane too. Does this have wheel pants too? I came across a SafeWay Airline photograph that was Earl P. Halliburton's and the looked really sharp.

i flew the trimotor at eaa once, i also have the tukan flight sim trimotor, and its really good the only complaint i had is from what i saw in eaa that the controls are slower in real life than the sim, not sure if it is true or just me, also, the real life trimotor is deafeningly loud, this is not nearly as loud sadly. but other than that, amazing product

I was so hoping that I'd here the whir and then whine of an inertial starter. The 5AT not have inertial starters?

It would be nice if the yoke visibility could be turned on and off. Good plane though.
