    The drone game has changed. That may sound like hyperbole, but that was my first impression when experiencing the DJI Inspire One. This is a unit that anyone could pick up and learn to fly quickly, just as you could with the DJI Phantom. But it offers a ton of powerful new features that were previously only available in units too big, dangerous, and expensive for the average consumer to own.
    Watching the Inspire One take off and land is exciting, because it transforms mid-flight, with the legs folding up after takeoff so you can shoot 360 degrees of unobstructed video. The unit also has a ground-facing camera that can track what's below and keep the unit stabilized, even when there is no GPS signal, making it much easier to fly indoors.

      youyi li I know it´s a cool drone. But i don´t think this is for people who just wanna fly. It´s great for making films. And btw i´m 14 so a P3 is...not in my budget ^^ But i´ll buy a P1 or Bebop, these are great too. Or a firewheel or whatever it´s name is.

    • @GranVlog
      @GranVlog 9 років тому +4

      Janis Reinberger the inspire is for video Production at a pretty high Level. not the best you can get, but at the same time. pretty good. super stable video at 4k With lots of information behind it to do color work in post. When i read " a normal person" i was thinking about a person over 18 With a job. it doesnt take to long to save up for one. half a year maybe, if you live home With Your parents. But for YOU as a beginner? Dji Phantom 2 With gopro or you could search up "droneracing" "qav250" and start With that. its more fun and you could end up making shit ton of Money doing it if you get really good at it. :)

    • @janisreinberger7724
      @janisreinberger7724 9 років тому +4

      GranVlog For me there´s a difference between "can afford" and "it makes sense to buy it". That´s what i mean. And i won´t buy a Phantom, i´ll get a Flamewheel F550. Costs less, can carry about 1200g (i don´t know how much the Phantoms can carry) and there´s a lot of space to be filled with extras ^^. You see, a 18yo working man/woman CAN afford this drone. But since when is it good to spend everything you have at the same time? Even less for a toy/gadget. This is what i mean.

    • @GranVlog
      @GranVlog 9 років тому +5

      Janis Reinberger because what you get is a solid product that feels responsive, and can take quality picture,video. If you start working with this, you can make the money you spend back after 4-5 jobs anyway.

    People complaining about it being 3 grand. I say it should be 5 grand!
    I appreciate what DJI has done for average consumer by making drones simple, but i also blame for making drone a horror which it wasn't before they came to existence.
    They have made drone accessible to people who have zero understanding or appreciation of the technology.
    Alot of these people just bought these and are abusing it to make other hobbyist look bad like themselves.
    FPV is not banned, soon we will see more limitation of drones.
    Giving out pamphlet isnt enough. People need to be tested in a simulator before they can take on physical Quad or Tri or Hex or Octa.
    These things weight somewhere between 3-6kg depending on size. imagine one falling on you, not to mention the blades(props) rotating at ~500 rpm.

    • @esaedvik
      @esaedvik 9 років тому +8

      Taking money for testing people in simulators is bullshit. Do you see people driving better just because of a drivers' license?
      DJI is just making cash cows with their profit margins and still building these in China. Utter nonsense, even if it does drip down to lower cost drones as well at some point, as it has.
      People buy these drones, fly them for 1-2 years and yet still have no understanding of the basics of how the device actually works. I see how it's much more approachable than building one yourself, but it's like a drone for dummies and it's making things WORSE for every other pilot out there - as we've already seen happen. People with too much money and too few brain cells flying however and wherever they want to.
      Still, testing and taking even more money isn't the way to go. And getting one drop on you is even less probable than winning the lottery. Utter nonsense and scaremongering.

    • @Ohmz_i
      @Ohmz_i 9 років тому +1

      Esa Edvik I never said anything about paying for simulation. actually most are free right now anyways.
      point being make it difficult for people get these things.
      and without license little kids would be driving on road. not sure how u feel comfortable with that.

    • @esaedvik

    I wanna see a drone with motors that can quickly pivot or tilt for maximum stop & go & high performance turning! Now that would be cool! This would also keep the passenger or cargo area level at all times.

    What I would like to know is that at 3,000+ dollars, are the pivot points using bearings or bushings? It appears to me that this whole thing is held together with screws and uses bushings instead of more robust roller or pin bearings. In time, with more usage this quad will start getting loose and then you'll start having issues with wobbling and vibration. Personally, I would rather see the gear retract instead of the arms coming up. The reason is that no matter how many flights you have on it, the motors won't start to become loose and translate that slop to the airframe. It would also make for a much less expensive, less complicated and even lighter airframe. I just don't see the need for all the "Rube Goldberg" features.

    • @gegore
      @gegore 9 років тому +5

      Randall, none of these "drones" are designed by engineers that have high levels of knowledge in the required fields. They are designed by toy manufacturers and then employ slick advertising people to sell their product to the unsuspecting f00ls that have more money then brains.
      There is no safety designs built into any of these toy aircraft. Where is the duplicate flight control systems? The duplicate receivers, power controllers, etc, that any safe design would contain. They are not there due to the cost and the fact that they are toys with a high price.

    • @Nick1814
      @Nick1814 9 років тому

      G E Gore Its called running a business. Nobody would buy them due to price if they put all the features you just listed. You obviously haven't flown any of these products to experience how impressive they are. And the makers don't have a high level of knowledge in the required fields?? Wtf are you even talking about??? Do you even know what the goal or purpose of DJI was when designing these? It's not every day when a company that's a couple years old makes a product where EVERYBODY goes "cooooooooooool, I want one."

    • @gegore
      @gegore 9 років тому +2

      Yes I have flown products in the field and 99% of them are nothing but overpriced toys.

    • @randallhuston1466
      @randallhuston1466 9 років тому +2

      Nick1814 We'll see how cool it is when these things start failing structurally. There is simply too much going on at one time with this whole setup for it to ever survive very long with sustained usage. It makes much more sense to simply raise the gear out of the way and have all the motors on a solid frame. After a while this thing will start to get loose and the parts will be extremely expensive to replace.

    At that price the camera wobble would concern me. Looks to me that it's not strong enough for the design. Enough worries with the gimbal on the vision plus, what with the ribbon cable snapping because the camera parts from the gimbal very easily and is held there only by a magnet, no mechanical restraint at all. 3D printers making money designing guards to help protect the gimbal which in my opinion should be taken up by DJI.
    Quads will now and again have heavy landings but should be built strong enough to take at least some knocks, not just break so easily. Many have broken their gimbals and it seems because of the number that have broke it has now in my opinion become a built in fault and should have a recall. Cost of the ribbon cable alone is around 20% of total price of the V plus that is of course if you can get one and fit it yourself.

    • @asdf30111
      @asdf30111 9 років тому +1

    • @danfangman

      Observing more closely, you'd notice that the wobbling of the camera appears to occur as the center of gravity shifts downward or upward while the 'landing gear'\motor arms raise and lower during transition. Understandably so as the flight controller tries to adjust location relative to its' previously known point of balance.
