@Letswinjeff Secretariat was genetic perfection. No matter how much man tries, Secretariat's supernatural power, speed, 22 pound heart, confidence, intelligence and physical perfection has never been matched or duplicated. No matter how much breeding and training a horse has...physically Secretariat was the embodiment of the perfectly engineered horse. Even trainers agree he's the only horse that had it all! No amount of training can match his record breaking races. History has proven that.

The greatest horse to ever grace this planet. Gorgeous, intelligent, fast and able to go the distance. Not to mention the most gorgeous colt I have ever seen. He is Legend.

The only perfect creature God has ever created...aesthetically and athletically. No one will ever see this again...no human will ever see this level of perfection again...Absolutely magnificent! He was the only perfect "athlete" in history. Humans will never be in this league athletically. He defied the laws of nature.

He was and will always be the greatest Triple Crown winner of all time. PERIOD!! The records speak for themselves. There may a horse that comes up that beats one of his records. But to beat all three records is an almost impossible task. Thanks for the great memories Big Red and RIP.

And BTW, Secretariat is the only horse in history that INCREASED his speed throughout an entire race while breaking the record each quarter mile. Tell me how many men have done that. NONE. His speed was supernatural. And the Belmont is still the greatest sporting event in history. The only sporting event that still brings tears to viewers 37 years later. The race was supernatural to watch.

His preakness record has already been accepted officially in 2012.

Secretariat’s time at the Preakness was re-examined and officially set at 1:53 about 10 years ago, it still stands today as the fastest Preakness ever

@Letswinjeff You're delusional if you think that Secretariat needed assistance in making him a winner. No whip was ever used on him during any of his history making records and even his jockey said when he rode Secretaritat, you were just along for the ride. Ron Turcotte stated that Secretariat had a mind of his own. Secretariat will always be the greatest creature, including man, that ever lived. He was supernatural.

At 1:06, that's what one ton of raw muscle looks like balanced on one leg.

That's wonderful music. Where'd you find it? It really takes majestic music to appropriately honor the Big Red Bullet!

@cfredden16 Actually, the breeding DID produce his large heart. They didn't know it at the time but, it was, infact, the breeding. It's the "X" factor for horses. The argument put forth by Letswinjeff is far more comprehensive and to the point. You have to breed, which is a lot of luck, and then you have to train and produce. Read Knack's book on Sec. It will open your eyes as to what goes in to making a champion. And...of course...they had the best tools to work with.

@cfredden16 Where are you inventing one breath for every five??? Try to abstain from tunnel vision and learn something.
