Thank you for this. My coworker was born in Uruguay, and is a dual citizen of the USA. Since I have been working with her, I keep asking her for photos of her land. I know that I can look these things up via Google/UA-cam and the like, but it would be interesting to see it from her camera. She hasn’t shown me any pics yet, so I’ve looked this video up for myself. Thank you for the information of this beautiful place.
Uruguay survived aggressive wars in the 1800s. Uruguay fought valiantly against Brazil and its neighbors for self determination and independence and freedom. Treaties and wars have formed the character of Uruguay that we know today.
Я знаю большую часть мира. Уругвай - лучшее место для жизни, лучшая еда, не такая уж и полезная, но вкусная, в феврале поеду обосноваться в Монтевидео.
This dude is full of $hi*t. First Uruguay and Canada "Are the two safest countries in all of the Americas" Second. His knowledge of the Spanish language must be very limited. If you really know how to speak Spanish, you will be able to communicate with ANY OTHER Spanish speaking person regadles of that person's national origen. Proper Spanish is a single language.
Montevideo at night is only "dangerous" in some parts of the city. In most of the "downtown" neighborhoods you are going to be just fine. It's not like Buenos Aires or Sao Paulo, is much more safer
Exactly, Montevideo is the most safest capital in the americas after Toronto! there are Police Cameras all over the city, and is very strange to see someone get robbed, but offcourse this can hapen like any city on the planet.
i would add if you are also here when Peñarol or Nacional are playing Copa Libertadores of America matchs against other S. American Countries go fo it, Club Fans are the craziest of all like the Argentinians or Brazilians, equal. Since Uruguayan football clubs are world champions, and continental champions is a must to watch live in the stadium! Prices goes from 10 dollars to 50 for a ticket.
Just a few clarifications... We do not use charcoal. The beaches you mentioned are east of Montevideo in the south part of the country towards Brazil (not north), Brazil is north and east of Uruguay, while Argentina is west and southern of Uruguay. And one of the images you showed I guess they belong to Peru or somewhere else because there is a llama or vicuña, I don´t know the difference of both animals.
And what about living in Uruguay? We can help with the Visa. This Visa is a permanent residency that has a typical application period of 6 to 18 months. you are allowed to reside in Uruguay during the application process.
I will visit Uruguay this year! I was born there. It's Spanish lol you just have to say vos instead of you, ( ex. Vos tenes instead of tu tienes) and pronounce Ys and LLs as Sh 😁
@carlosviera670 that's true. Also, many verbs change by saying vos instead of tu. Like tu "tienes", vos "tenes". So he might be right, Uruguayan spanish isn't spanish lol. It sounds like a mix of portugues Italian and spanish 😁
Punta del este and its surroundings in Maldonado region (like José Ignacio, not “faro José Ignacio “) are the best place in South America. You should have focused more in detail at them.
I just found your channel and have been eagerly watching videos. I had never heard of Transnistria! Am going to be binging all your videos, thank you for all the hard work you have been doing. A question--have you ever been to Ingushetia? I've read quite a bit about it, it's a fascinating place.
Thanks for the great video. I am hoping to visit Montevideo in the next year. Question: based on the amount of meat shown in this video, can a vegetarian or vegan still eat well (survive) in Uruguay?
I confirm it. I'm Uruguayan, there are lots of vegetarian restaurants or dishes in non veggie places, also you can buy every vegetable you want and there are few specialized stores that sell all kind of snacks for vegetarians, celiacs, etc. if you want to come eventually that is something you don't have to worry about unless you go to the countryside (to a ranch or something)
Are there any medical insurance requirements to be admitted into Uruguay? I haven’t been able to confirm this requirement as stated by a different travel blogger.
very strange how in asia ppl always respected my privacy and never tried to rob me (yes i was many countries) and others also never told me horror stories from asia that i often hear from s.america and africa, imwonder why, now i understand why most ppl go to asia, and its cheaper as well not just w the flight ticket...
Nice intro with the tropical music, however, it doesn't represent us... Language, it's "Castellano del Río de la Plata" think if Castellano with an Italian accent. Size.. yes, we're small in South America, but we're bigger than Belgium, The Netherlands and Switzerland... Pretty much combined. You spent too much of your video on a street market, showing a dirty part of town, such a shame, when we have a wide variety of prettier and cleaner places to visit. The Chivito is a national dish, however, all types of grilled meat of excellent quality is preferred, also, sice we have such a high representation of Italian inmigrants, we often eat a great variety of excellent pasta as well.

Uruguay #1 the BEST country!

I've long been interested in checking out "lesser known" countries and Uruguay has been top of my list! Thanks for this
My pleasure!
Now I am interested in visiting Uruguay. Thank you 🙏

Also, the music at the beginning of the video sounds like salsa, and it should be candombe!. Salsa music isn't typical music in Uruguay at all 😁

No llamas in the Uruguayan pampas, that looks like the pampas closer to the Andes.
what country should I do next?
Scotland or Korea
I strongly disagree on the Spanish accent is almost the same is just that they kind of sing when they talk. I am married to a beautiful URUGUAY girl 🎉
How can you talk about Uruguay and not a single word on Punta del Este?
sad about the prices....😫😫

If WEF has it way, we won't have any more cows here but import lag-grown "meat" from Israel (if Israel will continue to exist)
