女王蜂 | QUEEN BEE - 折り鶴 [eng sub] LIVE HD

I've been wanting to sub some of their songs for a long time now. Avu's range is absolutely insane and their lyrics are written in a completely different style than what I usually translate. This was lots of fun to work on!
女王蜂 (joōbachi) stylize their band name as Ziyoou-vachi and also use the translation QUEEN BEE. The song title "orizuru" translates to "paper cranes". The performance is from their 2016 "kinsei kara kita yatsura" live. Enjoy!

A few annotations to this translation:
"Today his single parent is working a night shift and won't be back until 7:30" - The latter part of this is in Kansai dialect (like many lines in many of their songs, the band is from Kobe), making it like direct speech.
"Why must I fold cranes for him?" - Again Kansai dialect. Also, let me make the "meaning" of this song a bit clearer here. In Japan it is a practice to fold origami cranes for people who are sick, because it is said that once you fold 1000 cranes, a wish will be granted to you. This information should make many lines and the overall theme of the song a bit clearer.
"I just wish he had been broken" - This is a bit of a play on words. The word for "to be broken" is the same as "to fold", used in connection with folding cranes. The word can simply mean "to fold", but used in a more violent context it means "to fracture", "to break".
"The summer festival parade" - Many of you might be familiar, but the chanting that follows this line is reminiscent of the chanting commonly used during Japanese festivals. I left it untranslated because that it's all it's supposed to be here - chanting.
"My naked body, filmed and continuously threatened on social media" - Meaning she's probably constantly threatened that they would post her nude photos or videos that they took.
"There's no way this is going to make it better" - Again, just for clarification. Because of the condition he is in, the classmates fold origami cranes for him to get better. But here she's declaring that the cranes won't help at all.
"Because inside her belly - She's carrying his pitiful child" - Just as an interesting note, the verb used here is usually not used for people, making it like the child inside her belly is not yet recognized as a living thing. (ある instead of いる)

As far as I know a lot of their songs are personal. It may have happened to one of the girls. The ending, definitely not Avu. She can't get pregnant.
