I do not speak a word of German (so I am grateful for the English subtitles) but I love listening to and watching your videos, and your artworks are beautiful. Thank you!
Thank you. Beautiful prints. Your teaching is so helpful for me. What I do, since my mind does not focus, is print paper/cardstock the size of the greeting card. I then attach the print on the card. This keeps me from destroying the costly greeting card. After many years, I still have to do that!
Hi Gerda Thank you for your most welcome video. I really enjoy watching your gel plate printing videos. I enjoy all your videos which are truly appreciated. 🙂👍
Thank you so much Gerda, I really really enjoyed watching you printing and the result’s are really really stunning and beautiful too. Yes I really really think that you should frame them because they are unique pieces of artwork too. And they’re are too good to use as card’s. Thank you too for the cleaning tips so very useful and helpful too. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags ❤❤❤
You are a delight to watch. I have done these before and they work out great every time. It's always fun to watch you work especially when I don't have time to be playing with my own gelliplate. Thanks for the video
Yes! Beautiful! Your prints came out very clear! I can have problems with printing ferns if I leave too much paint on the plate, so for those I started using a thinner paint (by Golden) which makes it easier to remove the excess. But yours came out great! Also I used baby oil at the end of the day to deep clean and condition the gel plate and that works well! I still have much to learn. Thank you for the video!
Another set of beautiful cards Gerda. Your delivery is so clear that it doesn't matter that I only understand a very little German. I love your art and your work has inspired me over the years. Thank you, Carol UK
Search gut Gamache! Viel danke! I live in the 🇺🇸US and studied German language. I really enjoyed watching and listening to you! The gelli prints are sehr schoen❣🌿
Mineral or baby oil cleans the plate without causing any damage. Don't try to wipe it off completely. It will evaporate and will not affect the printing the next time you take it out and use it.
Liebe Gerda, wunderschöne Drucke hast Du wieder gezaubert!
Great clear demo thanks Gerda. What type of white paint do you use? Is it standard acrylic paint? Or is it for example like a Liquitex transparent mixing white?
I am interested in learning this process and have watched many videos. I must say, yours has been so easy to follow and very informative. Thank you so much for presenting this video. Your cards are lovely. Question: can the gel plate be turned over and used on the other side?? thank you!
Thank you so much Gerda 🙏 - I have recently purchased a Geli-Plate (a considered purchase as quite expensive) and have been a little afraid to use it. You have given me the necessary confidence to have a go. Also - Big Thank you for the tip of using cooking oil to clean it 👊❤️
Monoprinting is something that truly intrigues me (much like encaustic techniques), but I've yet to take the plunge into either. Maybe when I can create full time. As always, thank you for sharing your creative gifts!
Thank you for so generously sharing your technique. I am a water colour painter mainly and just starting with the gel printing. I look forward to your other videos. Even though I do not speak German. Thanks again.
I find your video very inspiring! Thank you! I'm trying the same but I'm having big problems with my white sheets of paper sticking very hard on the plate! I tear my sheet by removing it :(( Could you help me knowing what kind of sheet I could buy?
Hello, yes, some papers soften quickly and are not very strong. I have good experience with papers for copiers/printers. There I usually take a slightly stronger (more than 80 g / m²) papers that are well glued and very smooth do not stick so quickly. If it should happen, however, once: Leave the paper on the plate until it is completely dry (this can also take a few hours). When it no longer contains moisture, it will come off better. Gerda❣️ I love seeing you posting new work. I am so impressed with all you do! These are so lovely. They would make great cards for the people in your life. Hehe - how about me‼️Just kidding. One of these days I might just purchase something of yours🤩
When I saw the thumbnail for this video, an involuntary "Ooohh!" escaped my lips. I've always found mono prints lovely, but have never attempted them. Perhaps printing on small cards would be a good way to start - thank you for sharing your expertise, Gerda.
Hi Susan, I placed the gelatin plate on a smooth plastic sheet (you can't see it very well in the video) that is slightly larger than the plate and peeks out at the edges. I simply tape this smooth plastic sheet to the paper. But you can also just put the gel plate without foil, as it is, on a paper, then it also does not slip... is even easier!
I do not speak a word of German (so I am grateful for the English subtitles) but I love listening to and watching your videos, and your artworks are beautiful. Thank you!
This is easily the most beautiful technique of this sort of printmaking I've seen. Incredible.
Thanks for showing us step by step . I appreciate the time you took to help us.
Wonderful outcome! Thank you for showing your process - I will try today with my homemade jelly plate🥰
I get so excited when i see there’s a new post from you Gerda, love it.

Danke, Madita. Ja, das ist eine gute Alternative!
Danke ♥️

Hi i love your work but if i dont have the gelatine plate what can i use as alternative
Hello! You can also make a gel plate yourself. There are tutorials on youtube ... have a look at Ruth Alice Kosnick

Thank you! Dear Joanne, yes, you can use the plate on both sides.
I would love to try this. How long does the gilli plate last?
Sorry, I can't tell you, it's a durable plate. I bought it about 11/2 year ago
Vielen Dank!
Great teaching Gerda. Thx! What’s the name of the gel mat and where can I get it?
I use gel plates of different brands. (gelli, gelpress..) I purchase them online
@@GerdaLipski Thanks for quick respondense.
what kind of paper do you use please ? I have a problem with my paper which stucks all the time to the plate
I use sized paper such as Copy paper

hello, nice prints!
please tell what kind of acrylic you use ?
Thank you! I use different brands of acrylic pint, they all work
@@GerdaLipski but acrylic dries too quickly
