- UVA Law professor A. Benjamin Spencer reviews the basic work that goes into laying out a legal case. This event was part of orientation for the Class of 2021. (University of Virginia School of Law, August 17, 2018)
I'm just a lay person who has developed an interest in law because of legal dramas and crime documentaries. It is fascinating to learn how law works in real life.
This one class was so much clearer than my entire semester of civ pro. Thank you Professor Spencer!
Articulate, calm demeanor, clarity and comprehension gratitude.
This professor is so thorough and knowledgeable.
I'm not a lawyer, but anyone can benefit from hearing such good thinking and exposition. Thanks, Professor.
Every good professor has an infectious enthusiasm for the material, and it was a joy to be swept into this seemingly dull subject matter.

❤
This system is so complex to navigate for the general litigants
I'm in a paralegal program, and there's a lot of overlap with what's talked about here. 👍

Study what "attorney" means ......the last thing you ever want to do is hire a lawyer (liar) or an attorney..
SHOULD BE TAUGHT IN SCHOOL...BUY THEY DONT WANT US TO KNOW LAW......ONCE ONE KNOWS IT THEY ARE FREE...WAKE UP
Better! See? Audio matters. But, the Prof incorrectly defined civil procedure the process of litigating rights. The correct definition is a good way of having your ass handed to you if you get wrong even if you have all the facts and all the law in your side. THREE legged stool, not two. Otherwise, good job!
