Damar Hamlin collapse: Fans horrified after Buffalo Bills player suffers cardiac arrest on field

- Buffalo Bills player Damar Hamlin collapsed after a tackle during a game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday.
According to the Bills, Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest on the field, but his heartbeat was restored before being transported to hospital. He was listed in critical condition as of Monday night.
Fans prayed for Hamlin's recovery, with some laying candles outside the Cincinnati hospital he was receiving treatment, with others downtown saying more needs to be done for players' safety.
"They say they care about player safety but do they really mean that," Sean Luttrell, a Bills fan from Ohio asked. "Tonight they showed that they care about it, but it's just like, why does that happen?"
The game between the Bengals and Bills was indefinitely postponed following the incident, with some players of both teams taking a knee as emergency officials attended to Hamlin.

Buffalo unfortunately has a history of life threatening sports injury, Clint Malarchuk, Buffalo Sabres 1989, Kevin Everett, Buffalo Bills 2007 just too name a few, there’s more less severe.
