I'm keeping the tube inside of my tadd. Would isopropyl alcohol be good to use on the outside for cleaning?

The problem with TADDs is you must keep one as a negative control because the TADD uses a rubber gasket and the membrane, which both have an odor themselves. The negative control TADD will be used for proofing the canine off the odor of these two items that get combined with whatever scent you place inside.

True but that should apply to any vessel that you use to put target odor in…you should also always have a negative version of that vessel. Now of course there is going to be a different cost factor when it comes to having an extra TADD… but what you mention should be applied to any odor containment vessel 👍🏻

Any thoughts on the plastic Ball leak proof one piece lids as an alternative to the metal two piece lids?

One piece lids are your best choice… 2 piece lids leak easier.

What is the purpose of the odor absorber? I'm assuming to help keep odor contained. Is there a max threshold for those absorbers? In other words, does it have a max capacity for how much it can absorb? Thanks!

To give you the best answer contact Getxent at www.Getxent.com Gregory is awesome and answers all the technical questions. What I can tell you as a user is it will depend on the substance that you are absorbing into the tube as to how much odor comes off because it’s based off of the VOCs

They are good in certain situations when you want to replicate odor for training while not using actual substances.
For example, an absorber with an illegal substance could be given to a civilian or inmate, etc so your dog can better train in live situations. (Instead of always using coworkers)
That's what I would do anyway..

@@kevinwilliams2524 yes and in a area of operations where can can use them to soak with a substance you do not have or cannot have. Also for SAR in various forms of decomposition and not or cannot take a sample from the actual HR. Just another tool for the tool box.
