i dont see the point of doing that. the mario movie is so freaking close to the source material, that a game based on it wouldn't really stand out among any other mario games.

I would have used more 3D stlye for some scenes like the clear pipe in toad town or maybe de kart scene entering jungle kingdom but overall you did an amazing job! Hope you can upload it as a super world

Turning the Mario movie into a video game is like trying to turn a goomba into a koopa troopa, it just doesn't make sense, but we're here for the chaos anyway!

You recreated the movie I’m recreating the entire movie. Every single bit of it, the dog fight, the Bowser in the Ice Kingdom, all the Luigi scenes, EVERYTHING
I loved the Super Mario Movie and you did amazing! Not every scene was perfect like the sand kingdom being cut out but it still had all my favorite moments! On a scale of accuracy, I would give this a 10/10! I also love how you improvised with DK because he isn’t in Mario Maker 2!
this is so cool! i did tried to make the training scene myself, and I found that for the part where Mario jumps on the bullet bills you can just use banzai bills. it is more accurate because the bullet bills had no arms and has a mouth

Surprised you didn’t do the 3D World Style for the DK level considering the cat suit but I guess the NSMB style just had more to work with in your case. Still a great job overall and way more creative than I could do lol
I played through all the levels, and They were all really fun!! You should really consider doing more of these kinds of levels for other films out there such as Disney animated films, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Shrek & other Dream Works films, etc. Heck, even do Sonic & Detective Pikachu (despite the mystery Mushroom not being in this game.) I watched the movie twice, carefully watching out for more Easter eggs I missed the first time, and I somehow didn’t catch this one lmao. But yeah, now I see it… the canon specifically on a cobblestone mound, the ramp, the floating island with that one tree up there… absolutely astounding attention to details. Amazing movie and an amazing recreation of the movie!!
If you want to make it more accurate, you could buil it in SMBX2, a Fangame with the best level-editor there is (and you can evern play as toad, peach or Rosalina if you want). It also allows custom music, textures and scripts which removes all the limits SMM2 has. ( I hope something like this will at someday release from Nintendo.
It's so impressive the fact that you managed to build all these levels and edit this video in such a short amount of time. And also how you managed to make such an accurate representation of pretty much the whole movie despite the editor's limitations. Isn’t it amazing that the Mario Movie has the concept of SMO where you travel kingdom to kingdom. And the cool thing is that you can literally see them go to the sand kingdom!
it's so refreshing to finally see some good levels, i've been playing mario maker 2 for around year now, and its been so rare to see a level with thought put into the levels and to find 1 is just so refreshing and fun for me. most of the time it's just levels where you get separated from other players and you have to race them. i have played a total of 186 levels like that (yes i counted) so thank you for making these levels WAHOO

Actually Brooklyn is not being destroyed by Bowser it is actually caused by the falling airship pieces after the wedding scene from the movie and then that's when Mario tries to save Brooklyn
Honestly... should have put a big bob-omb and big ghost in the wedding scene instead of the goomba and koopa (you know, to represent king bob-omb and king boo)

Not bad, but I saw a few flaws in this. 1: In the movie, Mario goes through a clear pipe in toad town, but you didn’t make it. What I would’ve recommended is put toad town either all in the 3D world style, or make toad town 2 separate levels. 2: Mario was given a Mushroom every time he attempted the course, but you didn’t give that to us. It makes the course much harder!! 3: In the movie, Mario gets a cat suit when he fights DK, but he can’t get that in the New Super Mario Bros U theme. You should have made the fight against DK in the 3D world style! That also would’ve gave you a car to drive to Cranky Kong in! 4: The Banzai Bill Chase sequence recreation was OK, but Mario had a raccoon suit in the movie. What I think you should’ve done is change the style to Super Mario Bros 3 and give Mario a raccoon suit!

Great recreation! Although, there's one thing I'd suggest: can't you switch the style in the sixth level to the Super Mario 3D World one? I mean, it does have the cat suit and Boom Boom is still a selectable boss. Wait, are the parachute and the wings absent there?
Omg I love these levels, they are so cool, but I see that you use NSBU style for level 6, so maybe you did use the SM3DW style on it, because the car scene of that white monkey, and the battle with Boom Boom, you can too. Also in that style there is the cat suit, so yeah. But still that's some good representation of the movie :D
