There is no itinerary for this food crawl and Erwan is out in the streets to try what locals eat in the “City of Flowers” like streetside spicy mi goreng noodles, flavorful “daral” (Filipino dessert crêpe), “Tiulah Itum” (burnt coconut soup), the famous knickerbocker, and many more!

Next visit you should go to Pasonanca. It's like the Maginhawa of Zamboanga. Lots of pockets of food markets to try like Ñor Ubing's in the Zamboanga Bus Terminal. Definitely Chavacano home cooking is a must try too! Estopao, Sopa de Maiz, Chavacano style Dinuguan, and Caldo Pata are some that you commonly find in Chavacano homes or your local carinderias. You won't find these in restaurants as most Chavacano households can cook these dishes very well.
I must say, I absolutely loved and enjoyed the food in Zamboanga during my first visit! The flavors and variety were truly remarkable. The culinary delights of this city pleasantly surprised and satisfied me. I had the opportunity to explore and indulge in the local cuisine, and it was a fantastic experience 🩵🩵🩵🩵

I grew up in the United States but spent part of my childhood in the Philippines, including in Zamboanga. My lolas' last names include Jamora and Racal. Thank you to Featr and Mr Erwan H for the two Zamboanga featured videos I saw just now. I like the two about Iloilo as well. I got to see another one about Bohol salt. Amazing content as always! “Biyaki” (so sorry if I butchered the spelling) reminds me of Mexican Corn Sweet Tamales (Tamales de elote) - Steamed corn dough wrapped in corn husk. It’s so cool to see worlds colliding through food.

I worked in Tausug areas before so while you were eating the bang-bangs, I get excited to name them one by one while reminiscing their taste. yum! my favorite is daral. 🤤 This video makes me miss ZamBaSulTa areas.

it's been almost 8 years i haven't visit zamboanga, that satti (jimmy's) is so good .

The one wrapped in corn husk is almost the same as "Tamale". It's a Mexican dish that is filled with various meat or bean and cheese.
Comment noted. Zamboanga changed just like American city's like Los Angeles California changed. I would like to see these beautiful Moro dishes represented worldwide as I'm ancestrally from Mindanao.
