It's finally time to test out my Eventuri air intake, MSS Springs, and new Z07R Front Splitter at the drag strip in the 1/4 mi. I've been looking forward to getting on the 1/4 mi drag strip to test them. Let's see what gains are made, this should be a fun next set of videos!! My PB was run in -200 to -500 DA. This video was in +1052 DA. Big difference that affects NA cars more than you realize…remember that while watching

Mid 10’s for a NA stock motor with just a couple of bolt ons is great. Enjoy the car, enjoy the sound, don’t get hung up on numbers. We are car afficionados, we understand there’s more to cars than numbers. Most importantly, there’s the soul. Beautiful ride.

I went with JLT intake vs the one you have. i do lots of dragy tests and hope this intake does well.
Side note: when your track again … with the front skinnies do a back to back test on those to show that

Fun video. Remember the Z06 is technically a Supercharged car because the stock intake creates a pressure greater than atmospheric by using resonance. That aftermarket intake may defeat that supercharging effect. It sure does look cool though.
C8 Z06 isn’t supercharged. It was a dual throttle body air intake and the Eventuri is nothing more than an aftermarket airbox. GM hasn’t produced a production supercharged induction car, yet but it’s coming with the twin turbo ZR1.

Wish I would have known they had a 70-degree day at FAMSO lately would have gone to see what my 24 Z06 would of done. My personal best at Irwindale has been 6.71 in the 1/8. No mods on oem tire.

Great channel
So many things affect drag racing i used drag race myself and I learned a lot. The fact the mph was not higher might indicate a few things poor air your added aero or claimed whp is not nearly what they say

That intake sure is sweet. Any dyno tests? The car already is better than perfect volumetric efficiency, how can it eat even more air if the intake isnt the bottleneck?

Finally, it seems that these aftermarket stuff doesn’t change anything in your performance on drag race…I finally have my ZO6. I have been running it for 3 weeks now…What an addictive car!!..😊. Hahaha very interesting question, me personally the ZO6 is my favorite, but the Eray is an absolute monster
Mph is no faster than stock that tells the story mods did nothing. Period
DA affects it though
You are on a prepped surface turn the traction and launch controls off it will hook and go faster. Traction control and launch controls are for non prepped surfaces.
Have you tried that in a C8 z06?

If your mph is the same as stock or lower some of your mods aren't helping the car probably that intake isn't helping the car is going to be really hard to better the intake that Chevy did regardless of price, correction on something you spoke on yes dragracing is hit the gas and go if your car is setup correctly too many electronics is hindering your performance .
Where did you find a 1/4 mile strip? Most of them are only 1000 feet.

He did a great video but he is learning that you can’t believe the hype in CAI lol. Power gain comes from more air and et needs less drag with more horsepower and good tires. The thing is, once you start modding more and adding more power than, you gotta upgrade suspension and it’s a never ending thing. Next thing you know things start breaking and you have a race car versus a street car. People must learn to just enjoy what they have. Just speaking from experience. 😊

So yeah check out the BiG 🧠 that thought he could quantify the Performace of a $4000 intake and wasn’t very smart by also adding multiple other “mods” throttle bodies, cross brace, cat back, different tires & Blah blah blah. Was the intake worth the $4000 let alone any of the “mods” that he states he can feel the increased power 😅
Impossible to answer cause people that aren’t very smart change multiple things in between data collection as opposed to the average brained researchers that only make one single change in between testing.
What change made the car slower…. That’s easy answer the owner made the car slower
When I run this test in -500 DA I’m going to come back to this comment so I can educate you my friend. You still have time to delete this between now and this winter
@@jesse_iwujiNah, I stand behind what I said… I’ll add this thou. You spent a lot of money to make the car slower during every other month of the year expect (potentially) the few that are cold & the few days that density increases enough & the cars able to run a tenth or two faster than it did stock in summer. Find the right day to hit that prepped track and I’ll be hungry to eat my words… I can skip a meal. Course by winter the next model year Vette will be hitting the streets & tracks making faster passes in stock trim but that the game. GL
Seems like this is NOT worth it at all...no difference at all.
I think a better comparison will occur when I try again in the winter just like when I ran my personal best in the winter
