The pain of bathrooms

Bathrooms and showers are never as easy to install as they look. I must admit I really do hate installing shower trays. We are actually a heating company predominantly but here we are again fitting bathrooms. I guess as a plumber I should accept the fact that this is and always we be part of my job description. But Hey, I've gotta moan about something. I dont think there is anything in this video that will help you. I've always been told the idea of putting a tray down isn't to "stick" it down, it's only to prevent movement which is why sand and cement is recommended on most installs so back buttering isn't required :) but great work I would not like to be installing the trap like that 🤣

This guy does it right regarding the tray, I always bond the back of the tray and use rapid set to fix

Nice work, I've tried fitting the trays on tile adhesive but gone back to plenty of silicone and plastic packers. I found if you put a bit too much tile adhesive under it it wouldn't drop onto your packers and isn't much fun keep lifting the tray up, couple that with mixing up and cleaning up...
