I made this cake and came out really nicely. But way too sweet for my taste. So if you are not a big fan of sweets I would reduce the sugar to 200g for the cake.

I've tried this recipe but instead of those squares, I piped some decoration on the top. But unfortunately the decorations slided off the cake onto the base while traveling. Is there any alternative to make the drip set harder?

I just made this! It’s amazing!! It’s sitting on my counter right now, waiting for my family to come home and eat it! I kinda messed up the drip though because it was so sticky and the drips kept getting stuck to each other, to me, to the walls.. lol!

@@journeytomakeupartistry it was far too sweet for my taste, the way I made it. Had to guess as my scale died, but or was in the vincinity. Can't answer the fluffiness question. Had too much troubles with making quality batter so I made a brick because of the tools I had.
Apart from all the sugar, it's awesome.

Just had a question regarding the buttercream frosting. You say 4 sticks in the video but in the recipe in your description says 434 grams. Do 4 of your butter sticks come to the equivalent of 434 grams?
I just googles average grams of Butter Stick, its nearly 113 grams, so 4sticks would give you roughly 452 grams. I think thats what she means.

I tried this and OMG messed up right at the beginning I had my pot a medium to low heat and put my sugar a little at a time and it turned to small hard rocks.

I made this but it didn't turn out well :( the sugar was really sticky and i didn't have any time to pour it on my cake as it got frozen
you talk about how important are weight in the recipe, but you add "6 stick of butter"... in my country the sticks of butter are different size and weight (they're 125grs and 250grs) can you tell me how much grs are in a 1 stick of your butter?? thanks, greetings from chile
American bakers are still working off 19th century weight measurements.

A gram of flour is the same weight as a gram of sugar.
Grams are accurate. Cups are not.
