Watch to the end for my speedrun trying to link each and every feature on the trail. Big thanks to the trail builder, Fraser, for the countless hours he put into creating this masterpiece. Check out his IG channel to see more of his work: instagram.com/frasermstepanick/
The only thing that impresses me more than the features is your positive attitude and grace while retrying the hard parts. I want to be more like Dave!
trail is build for the 0.001% (or less) of mountainbikers who have mad trial-skills and also mastered skinnies to perfection. amazing riding, dave! you have my deepest of respect!
I always exhausted from watching your videos. Just came across your channel and it is unbelievable content. Thanks for doing such a great job with the different camera perspectives, editing, etc. Stay safe (somewhat :)).
I'm not a mountain biker but I was riding my horse on a trail through a clearcut and got bucked off and landed in a brush pile hiding a stump underneath; had to walk down the mountain after since my horse had been kicked by another horse (hence the bucking) and I didn't want to risk putting weight on him. My pelvis has never been the same since, hahaha. I winced at every fail and those terrifying stumps, hahaha.
Psyched yourself out of that one... There used to be a trail at Mabie Forest in Scotland called the Kona Darkside that had 90degree skinnys (just wider than your tyre) about 5ft off the ground, very challenging.
Dave you're such a talented rider and so entertaining to watch. Often we ask ourselves, htf did he do that? How about some instructional/tutorial type videos to help teach us how you approach things? Either way, keep it up! Ride safe
Damn Dave, that's some seriously impressive Skinny Skills you got there, great riding. Such slow speed, almost no speed balancing on stuff that looks to not be wider than 4" in most places and a fair bit off the ground.
Hahaha.....random trail, full of debris, no clear line....."Hey DD/DS, looks like a good film location!". In his best James Bond voice, "The name's DD, Trial Rider DD and this, is my crew of Shred Mates. We're here to drink Red Bull and kick tech trail butt, and the Red Bull cans are already crushed!". Such a sick trail run, nice!
I LOVE seeing these side views! Really gives me a sense of scale. Also, you have some of the best helmet cam footage of anyone. So stable and focused and you rarely look down so we can always see where you’re headed. I really applaud you for that.
5 months. I worked throughout the fall and early winter took a break for snow then worked on it for another three weeks to finish up the big guy at the bottom. Thanks bud
The craziest thing about this is that this line would be a warm up for some of the old shore free ride lines. like the flying circus or the reaper. So sick that old school free ride lives on
First, love all the b-roll shots to give perspective. Second, amazing composure and skill Dave! Third, I wish more places would build stuff like this. I feel like skinnies are getting harder to come by (well at least around me), especially at this difficulty level. Forth, thank you for including the fails.
Skinnyest skinny I've ever ridden was about a foot wide, I think I fell off too, the twigs your managing to stay on the centre of are madness! Great riding as usual Dave!
Even if I disregard all those obstacles, only a complete lunatic would ride in that sea of "upgrade sticks". You know, the ones that force you to upgrade your bike parts.
NORTH SHORE EXTREME "skinny dreams".... Awesome to see your still the master of skinny stunts. Funny thing is today I found your channel and 2 days ago I found Brett tippies pod cast channel. Been 20 years since I followed you guys. Must be a good reason to buy a new bike and get my old broken body back on mountain bikes.
Well dangerous Dave I think you and your buddies must have had a few beverages after that outing. Bloody good attempt to complete top to bottom. Well done 👍. Loving the Carm quite approach with a little inside giggling hear and there. Great videos
Man if that’s was me I’d have a branch stuck in my wheel. If it’s north shore that is what made it a legend un charted territory in the day now a lot of people ride there and still think it’s the best spot because I’d the gnarly drops and skinnies.
Wow this one mustve been really tough! I dont think ive seen this many wipe outs in a DD video yet. Also, watching him hop along the tiny logs is both hilarious and nerve wracking!!
Way to sketchy for the amount of finish work surrounding the trail.... i've seen it a hundred times, somebody always always breaks an ankle. i don't care if anybody gets hurt, it doesn't bother me at all but i get pissed off when i have to stop riding to go to town and call search and rescue or stop riding to haul somebody's' bike out, or the very worse, haul a broken mountain biker out... You haven't lived until you've hauled a screaming man that's writhing in pain out of the woods, it's awesome and will stick with you for years.... BTW, search and rescue are weak, they get really tired really fast
You guys are impressive, i wish i had a good mountain bike back in the 70's and 80's but they didn't have em back then. I would have liked to do the course like you guys are doing. Word of advice, enjoy every moment while you can. Cause when ya get old you lost it all.

At that point, is there really a difference between mountain biking and trials riding? Absolutely incredible riding Dave!
No
Mountain biking is great because it covers so many different skills into one sport
The only thing that impresses me more than the features is your positive attitude and grace while retrying the hard parts. I want to be more like Dave!

Holy crap! I was gripped from start to end watching this! Amazing what you guys can do on bikes.
Wow man. Your riding skills are completely out of this world, you are crazy good. Respect!

You win!! Best MTB video of 2022
Incredibly fun to watch! You're killing it!

it's stressful to watch, fair play to you. incredible riding and commitment 👏
You saved the bike on most of those get-offs. Nice work!
You are amazing my friend,i wish that I have the 50% of your skills !!the only common that we have,is the NORCO bike 😅!! Greetings from
Greece 🇬🇷
That's insane Dave. 🤘👊
Dave you're such a talented rider and so entertaining to watch. Often we ask ourselves, htf did he do that? How about some instructional/tutorial type videos to help teach us how you approach things? Either way, keep it up! Ride safe
Dude what a sick video!!!
Not gonna lie I was more worried about your bike breaking than you 😂😂😂 super impressive shit
Immaculate.
That was awesome!!!
This man is literally a god at skinnies wtf
insane
Why is that Mountain side HUGE clearing there?????
Even without the full ride through.... still go pro line if the year worthy
Is this where all trees come to die? lol
immediately no immediately no I've seen what I needed to see
That’s EASY DUDE…Easy way for me to be in hospital LONG Time
not really even a trail.
first
Damn Dave, that's some seriously impressive Skinny Skills you got there, great riding. Such slow speed, almost no speed balancing on stuff that looks to not be wider than 4" in most places and a fair bit off the ground.

Some of those features are crazy, I'd have trouble walking on them, props to you for cleaning them.
I LOVE seeing these side views! Really gives me a sense of scale. Also, you have some of the best helmet cam footage of anyone. So stable and focused and you rarely look down so we can always see where you’re headed. I really applaud you for that.
A true old school north shore trail that looks like an absolute blast im glad to see they are still out there i miss those old trails
Can not even begin to imagine how many hours of work went into this. Crazy workmanship and a crazy looking trail
5 months.
I worked throughout the fall and early winter took a break for snow then worked on it for another three weeks to finish up the big guy at the bottom. Thanks bud
@@gardengirlbc can you ride it from top to bottom? Such a cool build.
Fraser is a legend, and his trails are bonkers.
haha!! Thanks man, im still going at it back there
This reminds me of mtb in 1999 and its freaking rad!!
Some of these skinnies look as this as handrails!
3 inches wide some of them
The craziest thing about this is that this line would be a warm up for some of the old shore free ride lines. like the flying circus or the reaper. So sick that old school free ride lives on
Nice work Dave!
How can someone look at that pile of logs and tree peices an make a course out of it? And how can you look at that and say "yep, I can do that"? 😅😁
thanks man, its easy once you go and look around
That’s some GOOOOOOOOOD video right there! MAKE EM FEEL SOMETHING and you’re doing it right.
This is the most Dave trail I've ever seen
Less a trail and more an obstacle course. That is crazy.
Wow. This is mesmerizing! Amazing stuff!
this man is more skilled on a bike than i am on my own feet
Those skinny’s gave me anxiety! Looks fun!😂
1:57 crushed the nuts…..OUCH!
Absolute insanity! I can’t even imagine doing those skinnies. Props to you, keep riding!
“Bill, we cut it too short”
Bill: “leave it”
Incredible. I love the laughs when things didn't go just right.
First, love all the b-roll shots to give perspective. Second, amazing composure and skill Dave! Third, I wish more places would build stuff like this. Quite possibly the greatest display of skinny skills ever on UA-cam. Dude you are an inspiration!
Wow the intense. Those are some intense skinnies
Even if I disregard all those obstacles, only a complete lunatic would ride in that sea of "upgrade sticks". You know, the ones that force you to upgrade your bike parts.
This trail was made for you
This trail is nuts
NORTH SHORE EXTREME
"skinny dreams"....
Awesome to see your still the master of skinny stunts.

OMG the amount of nearby super sharp bits is pretty terrifying.
Yeah, I couldn’t stop thinking about that either.
Mountain Trials .. the newest mountain biking genre. You are incredible to watch man!!!
Man if that’s was me I’d have a branch stuck in my wheel. If it’s north shore that is what made it a legend un charted territory in the day now a lot of people ride there and still think it’s the best spot because I’d the gnarly drops and skinnies.
Only two words that I can think of are radical and hardline.
ill make it harder next time lol
Wow this one mustve been really tough! I dont think ive seen this many wipe outs in a DD video yet. Also, watching him hop along the tiny logs is both hilarious and nerve wracking!!

At this moment, I am thinking that is one of the most incredible things I have ever seen!
Wow you were not kidding,"Alot of sharp objects!". Hard to believe you rode skinny after thoughts.Peace and stay safe
That is a crazy hard skinny track where even bailing can end badly. Nice riding man!
I just subscribed, just for your laughs. Awesome riding but I connect more with the laughing. Thanks!
Fraser's trails are nuts
thanks bud, lots of opportunities still to be had out there
Skinnies suck because the upside of successfully negotiating them isn’t nearly as good as botching them is bad, for the rider a/o the bike.
Thank you for not editing out your falls. That makes us beginners feel better. I fell on a green trail (It was my very first trail ride).
I get nervous just watching the UA-cam. Crazy stuff 🤪 but I never even rode a Mt bike 😂
this is trail baguette mastery!!! Both building and riding
thanks man.
I dunno Dave, that awfully dangerous.. ohhhh
I was breathing heavy and fighting an anxiety attack through this whole video. Sheeesh😰😰
who the fuck was filming with a lemon and two copper wires? lmfao
great vid, big balls
Since Scotland is the closest riding to PNW, I feel it's a crime not to have any skinnies here. :(
Riding skills beyond categories. But what is that squeaking sound?
Sick riding, as always!!
I didn’t see a trail anywhere in this video. Just absurd skinnies LOL
So close??? I would still be on first obstacle trying to figure out how to do it.
IMO Using your nuts as suspension is a tactically flawed idea.
I'll bet you were fairly bruised up by the time this run was over!
Maaaaaan! it's like a fight with boss in Darksouls! when you almost done it and....one mistake just destroing it xD so good balance and skill!
Respect. Those skinnies are certainly extremely skinny.
This is sick... I Have try this :O
Oh man that looks like the worst place to crash a bike damn.
Just woow... with my balance, no chance :)
At no point was the trail skinnier than his tiers but he got me to watch
This must've been quite the show to see in person! I can't even imagine what that's like to ride! 💯
Wow, that trail is bonkers!
thanks bud, lots of space to work with out there.
Sik riding dude, I realized I had forgotten to breath while you were riding some of those skinnies! Truly frightening!
i ride clip less pedals so thats extra scary for me
Nice effort 👌 keeping that bike on those skinnys looks so tricky. I take my hat of to you Dave.. well done.
Ugly cut block....must be in B.C
Fair play to the man that was some riding
You guys are impressive, i wish i had a good mountain bike back in the 70's and 80's but they didn't have em back then. I would have liked to do the course like you guys are doing. Word of advice, enjoy every moment while you can. Cause when ya get old you lost it all.
Incredible! I can't even do a skinny that's 5 times wider than my tires yet :)
