Early WINTER creek BASS | What lures are working??

- G'day everyone! Some early winter bass was caught while testing out the Tiemco Hecate 7…great little lure, I think it can work quite well during the colder months.
Caught a few fish, but most importantly missed a few boils and dropped a couple of very nice ones too on other lures. This tells me that these freshwater pools I’ve been fishing have a decent population of bass that decided to stay in there during winter instead of heading down the salt…which means I can expect some more action during these coming couple of colder months 🙂
Please remember I’m in QLD and we are allowed to target bass in the fresh during closed season. Only tidal waters are closed for bass.

Great video mate. I love how your camera angle captures everything, it makes for perfect viewing. Thanks for sharing another top video, cheers Ramon 👍🎣
Thanks Jake, sometimes I feel like the side camera is sitting too far back but yeah that angle generally does tell the story in a bit nicer way than the head/neck mount only. Thanks for the support mate, cheers!
@Off_The_Top_Fishing yeah mate it definitely does 👌
Awesome again mate .. they sure are slowing down. Interesting lure for sure. That mouse goes off dosent it. Keep the content coming mate, always a blast to visually join ya on the journey
Thanks for the support Jacob, I’m glad you are enjoying the content mate. Yeah I shave always had a soft spot for mouse lures and this one is the one I like the most. I know I still have a video or 2 of your channel to watch, looking forward to those too 👌🏼
Nice mate. Just wondering, what would be a good budget bfs bass fishing rod for me? I am based in the wide bay area. Nice vid as always. Cheers.
Thanks mate, unfortunately I’m not too familiar with the budget gear (I know Abu Garcia Zoom Safari series are cheap and good quality). But I can definitely recommend you joining a BFS group in Facebook that is focused mainly around budget gear. There’s some Aussie guys there with great knowledge in the area and I’m sure you will have a bunch of options to choose from in no time if you put up a post asking for advice.
Hope this helps and thanks for your support 👍🏽
Group is this:

Thanks mate. I am already a part of the group. I will give the Abu Garcia Rod a try. Is it BFS?
Llàstima que el últim s' escapat. Com sempre el més gros. Un lloc espectacular.
Si, molt bonic tot aixo i no es gaire lluny. Una pena el que va escapar amb el ratoli…
have you ever tried any of the lucky craft minnows in your creeks you fish?
Thanks for the comment mate, which minnows are you referring to? Small size pointers? I’m a top water addict as you can tell in my videos but I do love jerk baiting too…last Sunday I was going to do a jerks sesh with Duo 80SP and Megabass X70’s but I ended up throwing the mouse wakebait instead 😅
Please give me some recommendations on minnows and I will definitely give them a go in winter.
P.S. every single sesh 3 soft wallets with around 30 divers (minnows and cranks) come with me and I rarely use any…I definitely should use them more
any lucky craft minnow under 80mm that is a shallow runner will be awesome 👌 I am sorry as I can not remember the models but one of my favourites is the b freeze silent suspending. love the vids mate 👍 👌
@@TyCampbell666 thanks mate, I’ll check them out 💪🏼
