A paint storage tip - use clean mayonnaise jars for leftover paint. I've kept paint for years this way. 🫙 Beautiful job on your makeover. 👏
Over the last couple of years, I’ve taken to applying a piece of Glad Press’n Seal over my paint cans or jars before putting the lid back on. It has kept everything from drying out. 😊
Plus you can paint the lid for fun- we prime it and paint it- then write the name in Sharpie
Copper on the wall was my favorite thing. I had a golden that died last year, and he was so very capable of doing the exact same thing Copper did.😊

Very nice! I like the picture frame molding aesthetic. The only thing I would have done differently is to paint the molding before putting it up, rather than once it was on the wall.

Kathryn, I painted everything in our bedroom that color! Walls, doors, trim. Purchased a beautiful upholstered bed, stunning boho gray, white and black curtains and matching duvet. Emptied/decluttered everything and now we have an amazing Zen like room. Thank you for sharing the moulding too!! That's my next project. xoxo

Absolutely beautiful DIY! Great job🎉. I would personally ditch the ribbons on the curtains and let them just hang down naturally. This will give the room a more sophisticated look. Steaming them is a great tip. Love the moody color.

I have a wall in my living/dining room that has been an awful shade of red from the previous owners since we moved in over 1.5 years ago. I knew I wanted it to be an accent wall, but I just couldn't find an affordable way to get the look I wanted. You never fail to inspire me! That's amazing . . I wish I had seen these 2 months ago. I installed trim to update some old bifold doors and had to use miter saw, etc,. I'm definitely gonna do these on the remaining doors, so much easier and great result . . Thanks Kathryn!!

On the peel and stick molding, use a hair dryer or heat gun to warm it up and reactivate the adhesive

The peel and stick molding is amazing. I upcycled a boring dresser and fixed a badly scratched top on my tv stand/fireplace with faux-leather (vinyl) peel and stick AND the peel and stick molding. It looks incredible, and the adhesive is strong. Plus, I saved money from having to buy new furniture.

I was finishing the window trim in our living room, and had just painted the window ledge, when one of our cats (aka “snoopervisors”) jumped up on the ledge. I squawked, and he jumped down, ran a circle around our *newly-installed wood flooring,* and ran through the kitchen.
The paint cleaned up fine, but if I were a drinking woman that would’ve been a pitcher-of-margaritas day.
This turned out so beautiful 😍 literally looks like an ad. Good job!!

I brought the same trim molding from Amazon, but in the color black. I remodel a old dresser into a fireplace and use the trim to frame the fireplace insert. I absolutely love it!
