In the 70,s i played in a band with zac from tamam shud and the drummer from the original ol 55 , we used to practice out at Engadine , folded after a few gigs but they were the days, never see those times again. So sad.
Originally used to see these guys at The Star Club in Elizabeth St, Sydney, '65- '66, known as The Four Strangers. Then a lot of times in the late '60's as Tamam Shud at places like the Mandala Theatre in Paddo, Ourimbah Festival and down at Wollongong. Always good.
thank goodness for you farkle, would have never seen this. evolution= very basic recorded album= done live in studio probably spontaneously, my fav aussie album
Yeah remember it very well, remember the foolish time went to the big smoke running all over town hall station trying to get away from the sharps, but loved the policeboys coming from thornleigh.
@@rodhales9536 Bloody sharps-like Clockwork Orange replay-we had to catch train back on East hills line- when you heard the sound of a mob running and "Kill the Hairs"-you knew it was on...thank f#ck I had some big surfy mates in tow. Never a dull moment..😱😂
Yeah that was straight out of peter Allen s stage act. Wtf from acid surf prog to that shit. I appreciate bjerres renewed Taman shud band. Actually not sure he’s in the current line up. I think he’s pushing 70 now but still rocks the guitar. Seem to be heavy metal , gardens is epic
Just watched I’ll Take You Higher for the umpteenth time, it’s just crazy…like the whole thing is sped up. Guess we all try different things over the years 🤔
At the Police Boys Club! Fuck, I was there, saw Thorpie, Lobby, Jeff St J., Wendy Sadders, Ted the Head and the rest of Saturday night after a few ales and maybe a joint if we were lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time. Wasn't life a lot of fun back then?
saw these guys often, but them supporting John Mayall's Jazz-Blues Fusion at Kew Town Hall was made extra special by the compering skills of the unique Gerry Humphrys, who did 'Mercedes Benz' far better than Janis (and that's saying something) Taman Shud: Goolutionites And The Real People www.aztecrecords.com.au/products/avscd036 has been remastered and beautifully packaged. (by the way i have no relationship to aztec - i just wanna see good music appreciated).
..gee you Aussies put up with a lot of crap bands in the 60s and 70s. Kiwi bands rocked the house...Ticket, Human Instinct, La de das... Yup, I know you had some fantastic bands, but what I'm seeing here and in other clips, is downright dismal.

These guys were better live, but yes, Leo de Castro and the Browns and La De Das were better. Blurta were damned good too!
