For whatever reason the only way I could stop screen tearing was to do just the opposite of what you say here. I capped my FPS at 58 in the Nvidia Control Panel and enabled Vsync and the screen tear 100& stopped. BTW, I have the EVGA GTX 1080 Nvidia card.

it's because you added the wrong one .exe file, try this way with "Global" profile or find "NewWorld.exe" in game folder (Steam -> steamapps -> common -> New World Closed Beta -> Bin64 -> NewWorld.exe). this method works fine for me with rtx 2060, but the load on the video card should not exceed more than 80 percent and you should have a stable framerate (60 in my case, but in the city even at the lowest settings there were drawdowns, the worst optimization I've ever seen)

That part about the GPU working at 100% is what did it for me, got a 1660ti working at 99 on Skyrim wondering why I got screen tearing. So I put a cap on 100 and now it runs at 80, goes up to 98% some times and the issue is resolved. As for as I can tell with my eyes

This is not a 100% solution because it works only if the gpu load does not vary. However, playing games will always make the GPU load vary. Nevertheless, thank you for the finding.

I had the same issue when I tried Dual monitors, make sure the resolution on both monitors is the same and it should fix it.

It gives a small input lag, but compared to basic vsync, this is a god like thing

This come from both. But if you own a AMD's freesync monitor or nVidia's Gsync monitor then tearing won't happen if you enable Vsync.

@@yahiaghoridi3411 Actually bro its not a problem, its a common phenomenon in gaming world between Monitor and GFX card, but this tearing annoy many gamer's, Thats why Gsync and Freesync monitor invented, but if any gamers don't have those monitor's, they can minimize this annoying tearing by that RTSS software....
@@yahiaghoridi3411 both brother, its a discrepancy between the refresh rate of your monitor and the frame buffer of your gpu. So its caused by both being out of sync

Or you could als lock the fps at 60 (or 62) becouse your monitor probably neds only so much for 60Hz refresh rate.

Rtss adds input lag. Not preferable for online shooters.
I think you will only need this in single player games. where people prefer smooth, high quality graphics while playing.
