It made no sense, When L died I really thought that's it. Then Near gets introduced, and Light decides to hand everything over to Mikami. Light was always independent, but past episode 27 (i think) he started to lose that trait because of Mikami helping him out. I really did want him to win but I guess they had different plans, I understand why they did it because it would have a lot more episodes and they would run out of ideas quickly.
I’m a big fan of Death Note. I just feel so connected to the whole vibe, concept and feeling of this anime that it scares me sometimes. I never really understood why this anime specifically caught my attention even tho it’s quite old and not perfect enough for some people for understandable reasons. The only thing I know is that it for some reasons comforts me just to think about this anime, the soundtracks and the whole vibe. I feel as if l’m back home even tho it is literally a fictional world where i don’t belong to. I don’t wanna get all cringy and edgy but this anime means a lot to me so I’m very happy to get to listen to something as good as this.

The constant intelligence being displayed and suspense beingcreated in this anime by the Antagonist and Protagonist captivates your attention and stimulates your imagination. We're all monsters in a way, we all sin and have done bad deeds, but it's good to cherish who we are as individuals, as we are all unique and have many good qualities, even people we consider bad have them, even it's unrecognizable. We are all different and have done different kinds of bad things that make us a bit of a monster, but we all have done good things, even if those good things aren't recognized by us, even if we consider ourselves “monsters” and have done many bad things, I assure you, you have done many good things that have been recognize/yet to be recognized. Death note will always be a masterpiece. I love how both Light and L are gray characters. You feel mixed emotions for them because they had done bad things in the name of two different justices. However, even though L is so lovable and smart because of the way he behaved, Light's death hurt me the most to the point my eyes welled up in tears. He reminds me of the story of Lucifer, who thought he could be god. He was beautiful as well and charismatic but he antagonised god and was punished in eternal hell. Light looked like a fallen angel in the last scene. Kira destroyed every ounce of innocence in him. I loved the anime's ending more because it had more symbols than the manga's which is sadder as Light dies completely helpless. I read at some point a side story in an alternative universe where Light was alive and aged but he became bored of killing criminals and realised that humans will never change. Thus, he decided to end his life by writing his name in the deathnote. This anime really emphasized some controversial things such as the death penalty, religion and how people get fanatic around an idea, justice, what is moral or not and the human's tendency to resemble a "god" to the point of wanting to become one through power and so many other things. I don't know why I wrote all this. I just admire deathnote so much.
I like how L’s quote of monster even points that that even he himself if not a good person. He is aware of many of bad actions and downright illegal actions since he has to become that monster in order to devour other monsters

The one that tried to act as your friend, that they are trustable, that they would never hurt you, and then once they are close enough, they strike. With a big scary monster, you are aware that they are one, so you take measures to protect yourself from those monsters. You can protect yourself, you can avoid them, and you can prepare for their attacks because you know their true motives. But a true monster never lets you know. They strike when you least expect it. And the worst of all, is that with a true monster, they don't let you prepare for any of their attacks because you never thought you would have to.
