Now that the winter solstice has been and gone, I can finally bear to watch this! I hate the flowering season’s end, couldn’t watch this in August. I was going to travel down south from Sutherland to find ALT, I’ve not seen them for over 30 years! But couldn’t make it in the end. Great videos, very professional, thanks. Oh, I see there’s another 2023 one to follow! On to that now!
I was over at Swaddywell Pit for a wander last week, but didn't even think to look for the ALTs! Will have to try and get back this week to have a look!
Sorry, I couldn't edit my last comment...have you being hunting, or found, any Serapias orchids? Are there established colonies in Devon and Cornwall? Many thanks.
@@OrchidHunter Thanks! I remember seeing in a YT video that Serapias were popping up in London rooftop gardens...very strange! Here's the video: ua-cam.com/video/lckgenWFSts/v-deo.htmlsi=RUn5ls3NnzyMDNF2
Thanks for taking us along for the ride. Swaddywell is becoming one of my favourite spots to orchid spot and have a picnic while out Peterborough way. I hope the rest of the year goes well for you!
Gorgeous - thank you! Wonderful to know there are colonies in the most miraculous places.
Always loved orchids and thanks to you I've been able to see these little beauties.
Cheers.👍

Lovely video... congratulations on being able to see such tiny plants...I would probably have trodden on them!

Knocking Hoe is odd, ALT and Burnt Tips...and nowhere else in the surrounding area. Thanks for another great season.
I keep expecting Burnt Tip Orchids to appear at Swaddywell ..... I feel it is inevitable !!!
There is a healthy population at Tydd Gote near Wisbech not that far as the crow flies.
Yes I forgot that one ..... will add it to my notes for next year and maybe check it out. Thank you !
