I intend to purchase this set from Smallrig for my new ZV-e10 as well. Now that you have owned it for a few months, are you still satisfied? I sometimes read that the camera constantly reports the wrong type of battery being installed, is that true, do you have that too?
Yes even months down the line i can still highly recommend them. Ive had zero issues to report and to be honest i cant even tell when im using the genuine or the smallrig batteries.
@@Pixel_Fix Thank you and that is exactly what I needed to know, now I am going to order them as well and also have two original batteries so will notice the difference later. Thanks again for the useful information. Greetings from the Netherlands
when the battery it runs out of power, it turns the camera off and crash the file like batmax baterries? or it saves the file correctly like the original baterry?
@@Pixel_Fix I see this has been replaced with Smallrig 4087 (for Sony NP-FZ100 batteries) I see a shop has the charger only, it's dirt cheap. The Sony charger seems to be insanely overpriced. So I will have to buy the new Sony batteries, But that's not so crazy for batteries I guess, they are huge. But seems like Sony wants to have a big markup to squeeze some money from you from extra gear. I got my camera and lens secondhand. But the Battery seems to be degraded. Good to have spares anyway.
Then there is HÄHNEL PROCUBE 2, but it's bigger, but charges phone, 2 Sony batteries, charges phone when batteries are charged, but it's pricy, and I already have regular battery charger by Duracell. But the nice thing is it's made in such a way you they can add new accouchement for different batteries. But the Small Rig is so cheap. Maybe they cheap out on the plastic, but not something I will be banging all over the place.
@@mtbboy1993 Sony accessories are always vastly overpriced. Il need to take a look at the Smallrig 4087 i really like this brand the quality is really good.
Pixel fix, I have another question. When I want to charge the batteries via a usb adapter through the wall outlet. Which adapter do you use? Can you use the AC adapter that came with the camera for the Smallrig?
You can do that, personally i use a usb c cable plugged into a powered hub that i also use to charge my game controllers. you could also use the adaptor that came with the camera
Thanks for the review and especially the explanation of the display and what all the icons mean!
You are welcome, Glad it was helpful! :)

Ive never tried that i always swap out when the warning comes it but id say theres a chance you could loose data.
When used with Sony A7 R2, the battery level does not show correctly, 0% is displayed, but the camera can work for another 15 minutes.
Thanks for the review, very informative. Well done.
But I wish it came with a power plug, have you tried using it with the Sony charging adapter?
Thanks glad you liked it :) Thats a good idea it should work well with the sony charger, i use my phone charger and it works brilliantly.

@@mtbboy1993 It would be interesting to see how they all compare side by side.
Looks like one of the battery's not in correctly
