Like you, I have a fair collection of knives but at any given time, there is always a pool from which I try to use. For all my 50+ TEW.s, there are only a couple that I genuinely carry regularly. I don’t know if I would call myself retired, but I do spend most of my time in and around my house, so I don’t give much thought as to whether a knife is UK legal or not. I do have a little pouch, very similar to yours, but big enough to take my mobile phone, then I take when I’m going out. Perhaps rather boringly it still has my Enzo PK 70 in it. From time to time I change it, but I always seem to go back to it. My full size case trapper is my favourite fruit knife, so I use it every day, but just a cut up my Apple. My Endura Is my go to for anything rough or dirty, and I really like using my MKM macro.
Wow thanks for putting my knife up Paddy. That was a one off I made with scrap pieces of G10 I used for the handle, it's made from 3mm thick AEB-L that was professionally heat treated by Graham Clarke knives heat treatment services so should serve you well 😀 👌
Great video!! My top users are the benchmade bailout and bugout, the cheis reeve large sebenza 31 inlay, and large inkosi, both s45vn drop points, and for slipjoints, the gec 21 and 71 and the otter messer large anchor knife. Cheers!
My knife collection is a collection of patterns, I use some of them to try to see why one design works better or I like better. However, I do not use unique or rare models in my collection. I know from experience how they perform from using others of the same design. The enjoyment I receive from ones I do not use is studying them, handling them and preserving their condition. No one has to tell me how good or bad a knife is because my experience using knives tells me that already. If I spend $200 dollars for a knife to see how much better it looks and performs, usually the high price is mostly cosmetic and the cutting performance does not exceptionally increase with the higher cost. If I choose to carry a unique rare knife it is simply to show someone who might enjoy seeing it and touching it as I do. Today I carried a Spyderco Dragonfly and a Spyderco Para-3 while working on my car before the snow comes. ☘🥔🔪
