  • Greg shows us how it is done as he launches his Native Titan 12 kayak using mostly one hand and the wheels from Wilder Side. The boat ramp has some irregularities and small divots... Greg manages around these with his wheels. Not picture perfect.... just DONE!
This kayak has both pedals and power with the Torqueedo 1103 installed post purchase.
After upgrading Greg's Native Titan 12 Kayak with black powder coat Freedom Brackets and a new accessory rail, we took it to a local boat ramp to see it in action on land and the water. WHAT A BEAST!! Yet Greg handles it mostly one handed.
Heavy fishing kayaks can be unwieldy on land... see how these wheels help manage the load!
A really good demonstration of retractable landing gear mounted to a pedal equipped fishing kayak. Wheels from from Wilder Side. For more information on how to configure or purchase the Freedom Launcher, visit Wilderside.life.

Great idea. Way to think outside of the box. Have you considered maybe adding attachments points on the tubing. A rod holder mount on the end caps would be perfect for trolling after the landing gear is in the stow position.

Hey thanks for the thumbs up! You bring up an interesting idea. I have thought of attachment point, but never considered the option you describe. I think it could work…

Bonjour , vous devriez poser votre chariot au millieu sur le point d'équilibre du kayak comme ça vous n'aurez pas a forcer pour le déplacer , bon courage .

Each kayak has a different tongue weight. Some more than others. This particular one I haven't measured. But the motor in the back actually helps to counteract the weight... it's not bad.

Bet you those rails bent on that bump on the pull out.

Hi, thanks for watching. Greg has had these wheels on two nearly identical Native Titans he purchased in March 2022. So far, wheels and attachments are holding up well. No bent rails. Having the mounting bolts 6" apart helps reduce the loads due to torsionals.

Front load would be impossible for me. I watched a UA-cam vid on best placement of wheels to reduce front weight.

Great topic. I'm doing an upcoming vid on tongue weight on Bigwater vs wheel placement and cargo. Stay tuned.....

But you have a trailer , so why would u go through all that

Fair question. This was a demo for those who wanted to see the setup on a Titan. Greg often launches on a shallow gravel bar where it is a gradual drop off. Right next to his house. A trailer launch would be difficult.

@@pelontattoo6308 Hey, that is the secret sauce of the Freedom Launcher! The leg makes a handle above the pivot pin. It just works!!
