We're giving an in shape Tucker credit for going the distance with a guy who was 6" shorter, serious reach disadvantage, out worked Tucker, won every round and only hit Tyson with (what I counted) 3 clean shots. Also, it appears that at round 5, Tucker knew he was beaten, lost steam and started to clown. But yeah,,,,, he went the distance.

Exactly. And Tucker was a great heavyweight, one of the best for me. He tried to be the new Ali, but Ali is of course only one. Wilder couldn't beat a sick and untrained Fury who didn't box for 3 years and almost commited suicide. And Tony Tucker is better than a prime Fury.
TYSON had some real hard fights like this from time to time like for example: Razor Rudduck, Bone Crusher Smith etc etc yet TYSON in my book will always be 'The Most Exciting Fighter Ever' at his best he looked unbeatable.
@@designstudio8013 I'm not talking about what hits Tyson delivers or how good Frazier's movement was, Foreman undoubtedly hit harder and even he wasn't able to keep Frazier on the deck. Where did you get 35lbs from? Peak Frazier tipped between 203 - 210. Peak Tyson was 214-219. If Jose Ribatla, James Smith and Tony Tucker could take Tyson 10, every day of the week Frazier could. He was probably the best conditioned heavyweight in the history of the sport
@@Lionheart5977 LOL. What sport do you follow kid? It took Tyson 4 rounds to beat a washed up Holmes that had been out of the ring for 2 years at age 40. Tyson NEVER had someone like Smokin' Joe in front of him. EVER. There's not a single credible opponent on his list that even remotely comes close to a peak Frazier. You fuckin Tyson nuthuggers are the worst kind of boxing fans, thinking he could beat every heavyweight in the history of the sport, which is just fucking absurd. I suppose you think Tyson would walk straight through a guy like Foreman too, right? XD
Tyson had a run for his money, got a fighter who wasn't intimidated, Tucker fought back very well, Tyson frustrated if Tucker had the power he would have flawed Tyson.
Tyson the legend is obviously of the star of the match but this Tony Tucker guy is an amazing and incredible boxer. The skill, the speed, the movement, defence, switching and shifting, jabs and uppercuts! He gave a prime Mike one of his hardest fights and it made for an incredible show. Beautiful fight 👏
Let me just say this ...Tyson when he first came on the seen he had it all head movement..he had great body shots and jabs...By the time he fought Lewis and Holyfield he didn't have Kavin Rooney in his corner then he lost like 3 years out of the ring....But this Tyson here was the best of his generation....
I thought Tyson was supposed to crumble whenever he fought a big guy, who could punch, wasn’t afraid and took Mike into the later rounds???? That’s the Myth!! Tucker was 35-0 here! He took Lewis 12 rounds 4/5 years after this. Tyson’s head movement, jab, fitness and desire are worlds apart from the Tyson that came out of prison! “That’s a young mans style” Mike Tyson.
Dude 80s real Mike Tyson was disciplined, calm and had better defense. Once Tyson got lazy, drugs, women and alcohol took over he had lost his speed and defense, power was still there but he took too many shots. Larry Holmes gave Tyson a bit of trouble with his jab. Buster Douglas was way powerful and stronger than Tyson but Tyson had lost his speed due to his partying ways.
Nah this and the earlier fight with "bonecrusher" smith , proved tyson wasnt an undefeatable monster . quality fighters with reach and speed could mix it with mike and eventually defeat him. Anyone who keeps using this "in his prime" cliche should notice that tyson was winning and knocking out opponents leading up to and after the defeat by buster douglas. Tyson very good, but not top 5 in all time heavyweight list tho .
and if you look at Tyson pre prison fights, even in the fights that went to full 12 rounds, Mike still looked fresh after the fight as if he would easily go 15 round if needed.
Agreed he hit the crack pipe after this fight, when lennox Lewis fought tucker that was 6 year's after this and tucker give him a close fight, what a waste of talent.
good work Jumber505 ... music strangely made it much better. Rolling track- part of the ascent before the chaos Tyson didnt see coming. Action highlights wit a nostalgic feel.
Notice Tyson here had the ability to out jab much taller opponent and slipped punches well. Both these traits had disappeared by the time he faced Buster Douglas. I think this version of Tyson would defeat Douglas and Lennox Lewis and Holyfield.
Mark Phelps Every Tyson fan wishes to believe that. I myself used to. The truth is Lennox´s jab was far faster, harder and more accurate than Tucker´s was. Aside from him being a much better fighter in every other aspect. He specially had much more speed and power on his punches, and Tucker landed plenty on Mike. Lennox would have done much more harm. In reality, at his prime Mike would have done much better against Lewis and would have had a much better chance of landing KO punches on Lennox and putting him out than when they actually fought and Tyson looked embarrassing and completely below Lennox´s level. But even at his prime, Mike would have had few chances, would have eaten a great amount of jabs and strong straight rights, and would have been frustrated and confused by the middle of the fight.
Gerry No everyone shows less and less movement as the fight wore on...however, Tyson and his movement literally went away after a few rounds when he separated from his old training camp and management...his lifestyle changed for the worse and his training with it....just look at Tyson's corner for the douglas fight..horrible..look at Tyson's conditioning for the douglas fight? Dude was exhausted by the middle of the rounds..he had never shown that before.....guy was already on the downslide because of his own doing and now your point about getting past the first few rounds with Tyson becomes relevant....because that did not work with his old support team in there
И не удивительно ,что 98%людей любят его бои...После Тайсона бокс помутнел...Он превратил бокс в произведение искусства, превратил в тотальное побоище...и вряд-ли появится человек ,который затмит его и его бои
what a skillful tucker boxer mega talent that hasn't been fully appreciate bye humanity tucker was total class here watch him play games thru jeopardy WOTTA LEGEND
I noticed Tucker was getting off 1st with combinations & not just single shots. He also tied Tyson up to avoid damage on the inside. Those tactics are what kept him in the fight. Smart
0:57 I wouldnt blame any fighters for being scared of that killing machine. Rooney said he always prepared Tyson for 15 round boxing at the time. Towards the end of his career Mike only train for 4 round boxing.
Respect, to stand fifteen rounds against Tyson in his prime is an enormous performance. Tucker was very athletic and combined with his speed and taller range it was hard for Tyson to knock him out easily. Also great compilation of the fight, the background music let it appear more epic, than the fight already was.
Tyson was shorter and stockily built, so it was much easier for him to generate momentum in his punches. Many of the taller fighters ended up easily off balance doing this, so tended not to put all of their body into their shots.
Mike fights in the toughest division in all of history. After watching tucker avoid almost every punch from tyson by moving back from his punches to take the least amount of damage possible, I don’t even think ali can beat this guy. They both have similar style and Ali was slightly faster on his feet due to his weight but tucker packs a much stronger punch and too tough to be knocked out.
This version of Mike Tyson beats Holyfield and Lewis all day long, especially because those two weren’t juiced yet in this time period. And let’s give Tyson some respect - Tony Tucker was a huge, in shape, fearsome fighter and excellent boxer. And Mike dominated the fight. Tucker also went the distance with Lennox Lewis and beat some big names of the era.
Marc Brunengraber Lennox Lewis put Tucker on his ass twice when they both fought.... just goes to show how powerful Lennox punched compared to Mike Tyson....

what people dont understand boxing is so physical and you are never 100% people critisize tyson fights but you try doing what he did in my opinion he was the best pressure fighters which he learnt to use power and fear which he copied from the great jack dempsey these 2 are the most dangerous imposing fighters in the history of the sport also tyson liked to pace him self later in his career using single punch power to slow his opponents down then follow with the combinations he realised he could win fights through fear and power alone which also was his down fall in some sense which deterred him from being physically fit stamina wise knowing his power and skill alone would make him win most fights also after cus damato death and he won the belt he had no further ambition cause his father trainer was gone and felt he didn't have to prove anything anymore but in saying that he was the best in his prime and would of given any hall of famer boxer a major threat
Karlo M the point tyson couldn't be considered the best of all times besides tyson never beat any top super star fighter lewis did ali did holyfield did. This fight prove that tyson couldn't have beat ali in his prime. I mean ali before 1970. Tucker was a very good boxer donovan good boxer spink no one holmes with 39 last two fights lost. Ali beat legend foreman lewis beat klitchko holyfield beat tyson only with 32 two times. Even riddick bowe tyson never happened
Boxing's my favorite sport ever, but the politics behind this fight is one of the things I absolutely effing hate the most about this sport: "Tucker's purse was an estimated $1.9 million. However, according to HBO, Tucker made just $600,000 before taxes. The rest of his purse was owed to various people: Cedric Kushner, his former promoter, received $350,000; Josephine Abercrombie and Jeff Levine got $350,000 (They helped underwrite Kushner's investment); silent partners Dennis Rappaport and Alan Kornberg took $252,000 (Rappaport wanted $540,000 and unsuccessfully tried to stop the fight to get it); Bob Tucker, his father and trainer, picked up $228,000; and Emanuel Steward, his first manager, collected $120,000." ----- This is just ridiculous!!
Tucker was a fast unbeaten in shape fighter with a lot of winning pride unbeaten for 10 yrs and likely moscow 1980 silver medalist....tyson here would fight ferocious all night and shrug off anything coming back...this tyson knocks out holy in 6 and does another biggs on lewis
you are absolutely right. that was tysons best fight. u remember his face when he came into the ring. nobody would beat him then. no heavyweight in any era. ill take that tyson over the tyson that fought spinks any day. ive always said that was his best performance. You are the only person ive heard say that. that lets me know you know whatyour talking about cuz the casual fan always will say the spinks fight was his best fight but somebody who knows boxing knows its the jose ribalta fight. respect for knoing your shit bro.
Spinks was like a whipped dog walking into the ring to face Tyson - there wasn't an ounce of fight in him, and subsequently i can't credit Tyson for anything special in the way he dispatched him because Spinks had already lost before a punch was thrown... see the difference here with Tucker who clearly fancied a fight... Tyson was never unbeateable, even in his early career - Styles make fights...
But why was Spinks, a guy who had showed heart and toughness throughout his long career, "whipped" before the fight? Because he knew he was facing a prime guy who was faster than him and had way more power. Spinks knew he didn't have a chance. That's why he was scared s&itless.
Mark Phelps Spinks did his best but he was way too small. Tyson hit a lot of clowns in their stomach and they didn't go down like that. Spinks was only a middle weight in the Olympics, he couldn't withstand that body shot. And Spinks had defended well that's why Tyson went to the body. And Spinks got up and didn't run. He came back throwing. He never ran. Look at the fight again, Spinks initially defended his head well. He got hit in the head when he tried to exchange punches with Tyson. Spinks is lucky he didn't get seriously hurt fighting someone that thicker and stronger than him. Pound for pound Spinks is a better boxer than Tyson in my opinion.
This fight also clearly shows that a prime Mike Tyson would have beaten Lennox Lewis in his prime. Lennox Lewis was very similar in height and stature to Tony Tucker and had Tyson fought him earlier in his career it would have been a win.
+Carl Anderson Tony Tucker was 29 years old when he fought Tyson and was an undefeated champion.Tony Tucker was 35 years old when he fought Lewis and way past his prime whether he had 2 healthy hands or not. Also bear in mind that Mike Tyson was 21 years old at the time he fought Tony Tucker whilst Lewis 28 years old and a more mature fighter.
@@ald1050 Everyone always talks about a prime Tyson but Tyson and Lewis are the same age at 52. Holifield beat up Tyson sparring before the pros. Lewis and Bowe had fast monster jabs and viscous upper cuts and were much bigger and stronger fighters. It's not a fair argument to put Tyson in his prime but disregard the other 90s Heavyweight champions prime days, these guys just took off in the 90s, Tyson couldn't keep up. Lastly, Tyson's 1980s opponents overall were horrible, the 1990s Heavyweight division was terrible.
+Carl Anderson You have made some fair and valid points. I would just add that in Tyson's defence had he not got rid of his trainer Kevin Rooney and changed his own boxing style half way through his career he may have been able to keep up with the other boxers. Also his prison sentence was the nail in the coffin in terms of being a top heavyweight fighter. 3 years without boxing or keeping himself in shape was too long.
@@ald1050 I ment to say the 1980s Heavyweight division was terrible. The 1990s Heavyweight was ranked 2nd all time best behind the 1970s. I agree with the changing of trainers and the jail time spent may have hurt him but he did become champion again. I love talking boxing with someone who knows the sport, you know the sport of boxing my friend. 👍
You could see Tyson's skills start to deteriorate in his first fight against Frank Bruno. Once he won the title he couldn't handle all the fame and money that came with it....
In his autobiography he mentioned barely training at all for this fight. You can tell this was the case from his head movement or lack of, repeating the same punch consecutively, lack of combinations, footwork was slacking, he looked podgy by his standards.
+MultiGreat1 they started to erode when he fired kevin rooney in 89. kevin was still there for this fight. his skills were still there. its just sometimes opponents dont cooperate for what ever reason. most of the time the other guy just might have a style that worked for somebody and it gives the other guy problems. and tucker also had a good chin which always helps. Ive seen mike crumble guys with those same shots, but this guy wasnt cooperating.
Tucker fought an amazing fight vs Tyson. Tyson was the champ in this fight, controlled the center of the ring, and dished out the bigger punches, which is probably why the judges gave it to him, however, Tucker fought the better fight. Tyson hung out way too much on the center line, attempted no angles, wasn't moving his head consistently and repeatedly thrown the same hook after one slip in a predictable fashion. Tucker had amazing lateral and longitudinal movement, kiting Tyson expertly and effectively firing punches on the move. He countered Tyson often. That counter uppercut in the 1rst off of Tyson's rising jab was beautiful and, if Tyson wasn't changing levels upward, it probably would've knocked him down. Tyson fought a really bad fight, although he had plenty of great counters, hard hits and surprisingly beat Tucker's longer jab with his own in many exchanges. Apparently he didn't train very long for this fight, a habit he unfortunately kept later in his career. Champions are built from a foundation of training and dedication, which they need their whole careers, not just the beginning of it. This is what separates Tyson from true greats. His potential and performance despite training deficiency was great, but his shortcomings cost him notoriety in his losses he never avenged and his legacy will forever be tarnished by those losses he may have overcome if his character and ethic wasn't so porous. Tyson is my favorite boxer, ever, but I realize his flaws. Apologies for the long post, cheers!
NeoGodHand Dont Appologise what you just said summed it up perfectly, tucker stated that people lose to mike before they even enter the ring because they are intimidated by him. tucker said hes not having none of it and he was there to win. this fight shows how tyson struggles with taller fighters which is why although im a major fan of tyson i dont think people like lennox lewis or vitali klitchko would of struggled to a prime tyson. vitali would get the KO and i think lewis would get a points decision.
Tyson's movements were so fast that it was difficult for a taller opponent to generate enough momentum to catch Mike. As they were trying to wind up a big shot Mike already landed 5 lightning fast bombs. Like with Frank Bruno he had knock out power, but Mike's forward aggressive style prevented him from generating momentum also, so all he could do was throw weak pitter-patter shots from the arm.
Tucker had the tools to beat Tyson.. After Tyson beat Spink s I kinda wish Mike gave Tony a rematch..Tucker would have beaten Mike..Tony wasted soooo much ability..
The best? I can't say that, having seen all his fights at least 10 times, I'd say his best were ribalta, spinks, berbick, thomas, and maybe holmes. That is probably my top 5 fights from him. But tilling is definitely not even his top 10
+Torii Johnson yor right ribalta was his best. no man in any era could beat that tyson. if you havent seen that fight please go watch it. you will see what im talking about
I think his fight with Tyrrel Biggs is one of his best, not a great opponent and Biggs did have a lot of problems at that time but Tyson toyed with him and did pretty much nothing wrong in that fight.

watching this shows me that Tyson couldn't beat Muhammad Ali from in his prime.. Ali reflexes were much better. than tucker. lateral movement was much better head movement hand speed foot speed etc..
Ali had superior hand to eye coordination. I too believe if Ali met Tyson in his prime, that Ali would prevail. Ali was a ring general that could punch, had high boxing IQ and was game to the core. Ali would've took Tyson to that deep water and simply drowned him.
If Tyson and Ali were to fight in their prime, Tyson would've ducked his punches just like he has done with everyone else and knocked Ali clean out. Tyson doesn't have to make up the fear factor it just comes along with his persona. Ali, on the other hand, depended on psychological tactics, he would be non-stop talking, belittling and frustrating his opponent into making mistakes. Tyson in his prime was on another level.
Tyson is one of the greatest infighters that boxing world ever produced. Lot of tall boxers got knocked down by Tyson when he was in prime. Tony Tucker did not allow Tyson to come inside. Tyson or any other short boxer for that matter, would go inside by taking few punches & jabs from tall boxer to unlease uppercut followed by left/right hooks before knocking down. Infighting boxers such as Tyson, Riddick Bowe are always interesting to watch in heavyweight division. Fully confident Tyson was wondering how to break Tucker,s defense. This fight might have created some doubts in Tyson,s mind about his supremacy at that point of time and ultimately happened with Douglas. Tyson might have won the contest. This should have been declared draw in my opinion.
Tucker reminds me of Daryl the prince of the Soul-Glo fortune (Eriq LaSalle) from Coming to America. For a tall long guy he was quick on his feet and with his hands. Respect.
To be fair Muhammad Ali did day himself that if Tyson caught him he would beat him. Ali was convinced Tyson could whoop his ass. Frazier did it in his prime. Mike is obviously better than Frazier. The only way Ali could win is if he kept his distance from Mike and jabbed away for a UD win, but he could never knock Mike out
prime ali 64-67, prime tyson 85-88, it would be a 12 round decision fight, ali can`t be ko`d and tyson has never lost a decision, it would have been interesting
Nelson's Rudolph; tyson prime was with trainer kevin rooney 85-88, tyson 89-05 was another fighter who lost discipline and skills, tyson and foreman are two different fighters, both have ko power, but tyson is lightning fast with much more skills and better defense than foreman... tyson fought holyfield post prison who was on steroids, he weighed 179 pounds in the 80`s and went up to heavyweight...tyson was knocked down by sparring partner greg page during fight week for douglas fight, he drank whisky and had hoes during training camp, let`s put 85-88 disciplined tyson agaisnt 64-67 ali and against 88-92 holyfield, and against 1990 douglas.... prime ali vs prime tyson would be a 12 round decision fight

fusion451 ali doesnt beat prime frazier ( as we saw in the first fight) norton beat ali. but it wasnt a prime ali. But to me a prime ali is the ali that beat sonny liston. that ali was barely 200 pounds. i actually think the ali that fought frazier the first time was the best version of ali. he gained a little bit more weight so he had a little bit more power and the added weight helped him take a better shot. and he still was fast as hell. with that being said i think he beats holyfield, he obviously beat foreman, larry holmes is a toss up. i think that would be one of the greatest fights ever. i think he beats joe if he didnt have that long lay off. but it would still been a great fight. but i think a prime mike beats ali. any version of ali
+SWP 215 Ali was 210 lbs when he beat Liston who was 35-1 & regarded as the best boxer ever at that time & Ali totally outclassed him but every boxer has their flaws... we all seen Cooper, Jones nearly beat Ali in his prime & he was dropped by Sonny Banks too... then Mike Tyson struggled with James Tillis & Tucker went a full fight with him with a broken hand. Foreman got beat around by Jimmy Young, they all have their flaws.
ali prime is 64-67, tyson prime is 85-88, tyson didn`t train full camp for tucker fight either and had an ear infection against quick tillis but still won, I read it in his book
Nelson's Rudolph/SWP 215; ali prime was 64-67 when he weighed 205-215 pounds and danced on his toes with super speed and reflexes, imagine frazier being out 3 years and fighting an active prime ali??? the perfect time for ali vs frazier was in 68 but ali got banned for not going to vietnam war and they took his world titles/license, joe was more skilled than ali but not smarter... and ali did everything wrong, no body punches thrown and always hands down except for when moving towards the ropes...he didn`t even listen to his trainers
this is proof ..ali would have beaten him ...because tyson is struggling here with tucker to take him out but tucker wasn't good enough to get the job done.. ali does

+TheRockIzBack no. ali has problem with tyson peek a boo, remember frazier when he knock ali, frazier using peek a boo style, but not in a perfect form, and the factor in this fight is tony tucker height he is 6'5, ali is around 6'3 , therefore ali will knock by tyson easily.
Tony was not scared like the others and Tyson had to prove himself as a boxer. He proved himself, but not with a KO in the first 3 rounds. Tyson is the best boxer of the 90s. The power of those punches can be seen when a cloud of sweat from Tucker's hair flies onto the crowd. Passionately.
Olhando bem, o que Tyse apanhou nessa luta é fora de brincadeira....ele era muito resistente. Tucker, nem se fala! Uma das mais duras lutas de Tyson...poucos os que ficaram de pé, nesse época diante dele.

Wilder would kill tucker he'd be running all night
@Jack Trippin777 ok..
Dan Han ture words,
Exactly. And Tucker was a great heavyweight, one of the best for me. He tried to be the new Ali, but Ali is of course only one. Wilder couldn't beat a sick and untrained Fury who didn't box for 3 years and almost commited suicide. And Tony Tucker is better than a prime Fury.
|Dude Tony Tucker was a machine. I never saw someone standing so much in early Tyson's punches

Fsrsa Yes. He was very underrated. Took Tyson to distance with a broken hand.
TYSON had some real hard fights like this from time to time like for example: Razor Rudduck, Bone Crusher Smith etc etc yet TYSON in my book will always be 'The Most Exciting Fighter Ever' at his best he looked unbeatable.

And Tucker broke his hand in round 2

Surviving a prime Tyson is such an achievement!
Teddy atlas said Tyson didn’t have character, bullshit in the Ruddock and tucker fighter he had to dig down to beat much bigger men
Jumpman90 Tyson gave everything in every fight I hate teddy tries to undermine mikes success
Yes well said. I think the premature stoppage of Ruddock hurt Tysons career, he got disillusioned by that
Atlas just hates tyson with full passion. Any sane person with little knowledge of boxing knows tyson with Rooney camp in 87/88 was unbeatable
Slags Tyson every chance he gets.
I think with Holyfield he wasn’t training like he once had and was already cutting corners! Holyfield didn’t.
Agreed if only Holyfield and Lewis had fought this Tyson
I thought Tyson was supposed to crumble whenever he fought a big guy, who could punch, wasn’t afraid and took Mike into the later rounds????
That’s the Myth!!
Tucker was 35-0 here! He took Lewis 12 rounds 4/5 years after this.
Tyson’s head movement, jab, fitness and desire are worlds apart from the Tyson that came out of prison!
“That’s a young mans style”
Mike Tyson.
I mean, he did give Tyson a VERY close fight. He was clearly outboxing him in the first few rounds
Tyson clearly got worse after prison
Well said dude
Nah this and the earlier fight with "bonecrusher" smith , proved tyson wasnt an undefeatable monster . quality fighters with reach and speed could mix it with mike and eventually defeat him. Anyone who keeps using this "in his prime" cliche should notice that tyson was winning and knocking out opponents leading up to and after the defeat by buster douglas. Tyson very good, but not top 5 in all time heavyweight list tho .
love the music, fits the video perfectly!
and if you look at Tyson pre prison fights, even in the fights that went to full 12 rounds, Mike still looked fresh after the fight as if he would easily go 15 round if needed.
Most people think that Tyson always had low stamina, but his prime-fights prove that it's wrong.
Tyson best win imo tucker could've been a all time great if he didnt quit after his loss to tyson
Agreed he hit the crack pipe after this fight, when lennox Lewis fought tucker that was 6 year's after this and tucker give him a close fight, what a waste of talent.
Мало кому удавалось выстоять против молодого и агрессивного Тайсона. Это реально был сгусток энергии, силы и мощи💪🥊
Thanks for the vid. Very nice music, got nostalgia a bit as its vibe reminds me of the 80s.
good work Jumber505 ... music strangely made it much better.
But even at his prime, Mike would have had few chances, would have eaten a great amount of jabs and strong straight rights, and would have been frustrated and confused by the middle of the fight.
im not really a Tyson fan. I don't think the mediocre chinned Lewis could have stood up to prime Tyson's bombs.
Gerry No
everyone shows less and less movement as the fight wore on...however, Tyson and his movement literally went away after a few rounds when he separated from his old training camp and management...his lifestyle changed for the worse and his training with it....just look at Tyson's corner for the douglas fight..horrible..look at Tyson's conditioning for the douglas fight? Dude was exhausted by the middle of the rounds..he had never shown that before.....guy was already on the downslide because of his own doing and now your point about getting past the first few rounds with Tyson becomes relevant....because that did not work with his old support team in there

Tony was really fighting back to win, unlike others who lost before they even got in the ring with Tyson.
I noticed Tucker was getting off 1st with combinations & not just single shots. He also tied Tyson up to avoid damage on the inside. Those tactics are what kept him in the fight. Smart

Respect, to stand fifteen rounds against Tyson in his prime is an enormous performance. Tucker was very athletic and combined with his speed and taller range it was hard for Tyson to knock him out easily.
Also great compilation of the fight, the background music let it appear more epic, than the fight already was.
It was a 12 round fight.

LOL, who's counting 😂😂😂😂
Tyson was shorter and stockily built, so it was much easier for him to generate momentum in his punches. Many of the taller fighters ended up easily off balance doing this, so tended not to put all of their body into their shots.

Mike fights in the toughest division in all of history. After watching tucker avoid almost every punch from tyson by moving back from his punches to take the least amount of damage possible, I don’t even think ali can beat this guy. They both have similar style and Ali was slightly faster on his feet due to his weight but tucker packs a much stronger punch and too tough to be knocked out.

Such a short heavyweight rumbled the division. Great work he is the legend .

Hi, can you tell what is this music ? I like it !! Very nice vidéo !! That was an incredible fight
i think ribalta was an amazing peformance from mike
you are absolutely right. that was tysons best fight. u remember his face when he came into the ring. nobody would beat him then. no heavyweight in any era. ill take that tyson over the tyson that fought spinks any day. ive always said that was his best performance.
Mark Phelps
Spinks did his best but he was way too small.
This, ribalta and Berbick were impressive. The Rudduck fights showed Tyson was a warrior too
This fight also clearly shows that a prime Mike Tyson would have beaten Lennox Lewis in his prime. Lennox Lewis was very similar in height and stature to Tony Tucker and had Tyson fought him earlier in his career it would have been a win.
Tucker broke his hand in the early rounds against Tyson, when Tucker fought Lewis he got destroyed with 2 healthy hands....
This fight goes so perfect with this music
What fight is everybody watching? Tyson sprayed Tucker's gerry curl juice all over the front rows. Total domination.

Tucker was one of the best of his era. Here he gives quite a fight to Tyson in his prime
Young Tyson was the first boxer I saw who actually threw haymakers to the body.
Thumbs down for the unnecessary and highly annoying soundtrack.
if tucker's punches were more powerful, he could knock out tyson. however, tyson seemed unknockoutable
These highlights are 1 sided watch the fight tucker won in my opinion

Dont Appologise what you just said summed it up perfectly, tucker stated that people lose to mike before they even enter the ring because they are intimidated by him. tucker said hes not having none of it and he was there to win. this fight shows how tyson struggles with taller fighters which is why although im a major fan of tyson i dont think people like lennox lewis or vitali klitchko would of struggled to a prime tyson. vitali would get the KO and i think lewis would get a points decision.
Uğur92
Ali would've hit Tyson at least twice as much and totally frustrated him.
One of the best fights ever ...Tony Tucker was a beast to take on the Tasmanian devil and survive.

Tucker had the tools to beat Tyson.. After Tyson beat Spink s I kinda wish Mike gave Tony a rematch..Tucker would have beaten Mike..Tony wasted soooo much ability..
this to me was the best mike tyson fight along with mitch green ,tillis ,
He barely trained for this fight. He was flawed here in so many ways. I agree the Green fight was much better.
The best? I can't say that, having seen all his fights at least 10 times, I'd say his best were ribalta, spinks, berbick, thomas, and maybe holmes.

ABSOLUTELY RIGHT !
Ali had superior hand to eye coordination. I too believe if Ali met Tyson in his prime, that Ali would prevail. Ali was a ring general that could punch, had high boxing IQ and was game to the core. Ali would've took Tyson to that deep water and simply drowned him.
Tyson dominated the whole fight. Never was in trouble.
Ty Williams exactly ali was too fast before 1970. Tyson couldn't have touched ali
Тайсон 💪
Respect.
This fight makes me believe Ali would have had a hey day with Tyson.

Hey DUMB DUMB, Ali was hit by George Foreman who has a higher knock out ratio than Tyson.
This fight was the first time Tyson showed he was susceptible to the Uppercut and it followed him rest of careeer!

Ali , Foreman Holmes Frazier Holyfield ,Tyson, Lewis, Knorten, Louis, Marciano.. Ali the GOAT bests them all...
fusion451 ali doesnt beat prime frazier ( as we saw in the first fight) norton beat ali. but it wasnt a prime ali.
Tony Tucker dance in the ring, Mike shuffled, bob and weave, Tony gave Mike a helluva fight. Tony no slouch.
Great boxing match! Classic style matchup between the moving boxing puncher(Tony Tucker) versus the more compact elusive power puncher (Mike Tyson).
This mike Tyson would have beaten Lennox Lewis I think 🤔
Stupid music ruin the video
great boxing from both
People sayin Tyson fought bums well tony tucker here could litteraly give the current heavyweights a problem...
What’s with the stupid music?
Hey don’t say that, it’s Tupac.
this is proof ..ali would have beaten him ...because tyson is struggling here with tucker to take him out but tucker wasn't good enough to get the job done..
ali does
Mate Ali lost to Frazier and Tyson was stronger than him!
+TheRockIzBack Did Ali Knock out every single person he fought?
Tony Tucker was Undefeated at this time and yet Tyson still beat him. So sick of Cassius Clay fanboys
+QuIgYx exactly what I mean...ali is not expected to knock anyone out ..
QuIgYx Tucker was far from a bum at this point. Lennox Lewis went 12 rounds with Tucker, was Lennox Lewis a bum? and please dont get me started on the Lewis v Tyson controversy
And Tony Tucker boxed with one hand almost, his hand was broken for ten days before that match. Fantastic performance!
Tony Tucker, a Hell of a Fighter . The guy faced great champs like Mike and Buster
Great Fight.. Respect for both 🙏🏻♥️💪🏻💪🏻✌🏻✌🏻☀️👋🏻🎉
Olhando bem, o que Tyse apanhou nessa luta é fora de brincadeira....ele era muito resistente. Tucker, nem se fala! Uma das mais duras lutas de Tyson...poucos os que ficaram de pé, nesse época diante dele.
Tyson knocked the sweat clean off Tuckers head around 12 times and didnt knock him out???? DAMN!!!!!
