    It was really nice to see your ride through this area, I grew up riding my bike everywhere there, been away for 4 decades, now I'm back riding my mountain bike on all the bike paths of the Sunshine Coast, watching your video, I definitely want to ride that area again to reminisce of my childhood.

    Another awesome ride! I really appreciated the overview you gave on the map at the beginning. It really helped me get my bearings to know where you were going. Super helpful 👌

    Thanks so much for filming these rides. I’m keen to copy most of them. You demonstrate many excellent examples of cycling infrastructure but also some shockers where connectivity doesn’t exist.

      My pleasure... There's aren't many videos showing this Cycleway in its entirety so I thought these might prove helpful to those considering it. Thanks for watching 👍👍

    Great ride, shame about the poor signage on the MBC. You missed a great section between Ormiston and Wellington Point that goes through Geoff Skinner wetlands. Took me 2 years of riding through that area to stumble upon it.

      Thanks brother, thank God there's no crocs down this part of Queensland I live or it would be a very different story 😅. The crocs start appearing about 400km North of me

    Hi John! Another great Video and thank you! I've ridden some of that but not all of it! What Map App are you using for your turn by turn navigation?

    • @jelbuilderfilms
      @jelbuilderfilms  Місяць тому

      Thanks, I was using Mapmagic.app to plan the route, and then simply exported it to Garmin Connect as a 'course'.... and that's what I used from my Garmin watch for my turn by turn nav. Some use a bike computer like a Garmin Edge or a Wahoo Elemnt, but I'm happy at the moment to just use my watch. It's simple, cheap and it works. :)

    Excellent video. I would have liked to hear your thoughts on the intended way for bikes to cross the good train tracks on Prichard Street, rather than the goat track you (and everyone) takes. It's absolutely bananas that council intend for bikes to ride down the bike path until they get to the tracks, then cross the road in front of the tracks, ride over the tracks on the other side of the road, then cross back over the road on the other side of the tracks and get back on the bike path. The only reason no cyclists have been killed there is because no one is silly enough to use this intersection the way council have designed it.

      Thanks.... yes, that Pritchard St segment is crazy for sure. I guess I'm quite loose when it comes to riding and usually find the quickest path and didn't really think about articulating the best ways to cross certain sections. As I was just trying to show the primary route and features and highlights/low points of this cycleway - and not necessarily how to ride it. The worst part of the MBC is trying to get from Scarborough to where it ends at Bribie Island.... that was nightmare stuff!
