I would personally love to see a video of you trying to thrift all of these items, i know thrifting isnt ur usual content! but it would be fun to see you try it out!
I love when you talked about how some trends can feel "too" costume-y/trendy if not balanced out with more classic pieces. I definitely feel the same way but hadn't heard of it described that way before! :)
I love how your style evolved, Gemary. I love asymmetric tops, been a fan for them for some time, I have to look for some cut out pieces. By the way, you look gorgeous in this video!
Yes to elevated basics! And I’m thinking so hard about cowboy boots now. I love the simplicity in the pair you got! I’m all for the subtle flex kinda style haha.
What we have in common is casual style. For me also, if you can buy one thing more expensive, buy good quality, comfortable shoes. Since now I'll incorporate this rule in my wardrobe.
I would love to see what you wear for fall winter. I would love to see you styled for winter in a colder climate (as of you were actually on the cold). Us northerners struggle to feel effortless with the need to stay warm. Boots, large coats, etc.
I love your mention about color and was curious what color you’re not finding lately because I also struggle with wanting to explore and add color but being SO picky about it…
SO SO SO LOVED this video... just so much inspiration, i immediately clicked buy on 3 off the shoulder tops after seeing yours, realised this is something I don't have in my wardrobe that is a gap... you are brilliant Gemary! Thank you!
@@BrunetteGiant well I'm in Australia so unfortunately we don't always have access to US shops... plus we're at different seasons to you! I bought a grey French Connection off shoulder jumper, and a stretchy plain black one and a tan coloured knit one from Witchery - Australian brand.
Thank you Gemary, you truly have inspired me to upgrade my style in clothing and your styling tips help so much!! Looking back at clothes I’ve bought in the past I’m like what was I thinking?! 😩😆
I love cut out especially on tops . After realizing that I'm pear shaped, I've been busy making sure that my tops are interesting and playing around with the collars and neck area. I feel you on the getting sick of black but not finding what you want in any the material of choice. It's a struggle i tell you 😪
Can't get enough of your fashion videos! I honestly LIVE for your clothing advice :) This may be kind of out there, but have you ever considered starting a clothing brand? Or designing for a brand? When you said you couldn't find the right shades in the right silhouettes, it resonated and I think you'd be amazing at creating designs. Much love from Canada!
Lovely video!! Did you try “rusty color” / terracotta?! I think it could go well on you and with the rest of your wardrobe! This is one of my fave color to wear lately. Perfect for fall!! 😃
Hi!!! I’m from Texas and I get my boots from Tecovas! I would definitely check them out, really classic and minimal boots and they’re Womens selection is so beautiful!
I’m in love with all stuff you’ve presented! One of the comments below suggests terracota colour - you should try it out! It fits brunette ladies! And I haven’t seen such statement biker shorts with delicate detail (single strap hanging) - can you give a clue where to find these?
Girl I’ve been waiting for your video! I need outfit ideas ☺️ can you talk about shoes? What shoe to wear with what outfits. I have such a hard time finding the right shoe for the right outfit! 😅
What about a leather blazer? I’ve been looking for one! I’m excited about the vest and loafer trend though! Also I’m on the fence about cowboy boots. I live in Phoenix and I see realllll cowboys wearing them. Or people who go to country concerts wear them with denim shorts / dresses & that is just not my taste. I think the more toned down version can look cute though!
I would be considered a clog hater as the style doesn't appeal to me and I'm the same height as Gemary with USA size 10 - 10.5 shoe size. I would look like a clown in them. 😂 When I was little I was prescribed real wooden clogs to train my flat arch-less feet. Did I wear them? Nope. Do I still have flat, wide and arch-less feet? Yes. But my balance must be great and don't need flippers when swimming. 😁
Its interesting that whatever is considered trends keeps getting recycled through the years. I still have my cowboy boots I vintaged in high school. I love your cowboy boots as well.
With ankle length pants/jeans or with leggings 🤍🤍 I personally like showing a bit of ankle or I like my socks to be a little visible. But honestly they go well with everything. 🤍
@@Gemaryermus thank you for the tip! i got a great pair of heeled loafers thrifting but don't know how to proportionally style them. i will try ankle pants!
The boots are pronounced: Loo Kay See This is an amazing brand if you're going to make the investment. This is an old, established company and they hand make the boots. This is great because you can have these boots re-soled (when the sole wears down, usually stacked leather soles) and they will last a lifetime.
I'm loving all the trends you mention, especially the cutouts, fitted trousers/blazers and the knit! You wear a pair of leather trousers in the video and you look gorgeous in them, could you tell me the brand? I have trouble finding these kind of pants cause I have big thighs... And not everything looks good :/ thank you for the video, very inspiring! xox
Thanks love!! They are from Sundarbay, I got them last year but I think they still have them. I ordered them a size up and got them tailored at my waist. ❤️❤️
The color thing is a problem, and it’s caused by big data over-optimization. The reason is that marketing/advertising switched from TV/radio/internet ads to almost exclusively social media and influencer-driven, but the “big data analysts” are usually not that skilled in terms of methodological rigor of the field. So what’s happening is that influencers push neutrals because they appeal to a wide audience, and the primary goal of influencers is (naturally) to maximize their audience size and retention. And who doesn’t like neutrals? It’s the same with “basics” - everyone wears them, so they’re very popular topics for influencers. Big data picks up on this, and informs companies about “what sells.” It looks like what sells is just basics and neutrals. But that’s because that’s what is being “fed” to the people who are buying. So the only colors we ever get are like the Pantone color of the year or some random-ass color like “sage green” that only looks good on a small subset of people (soft cool people, or “Fall” in the seasonal color style). Anyway, Gemary you may have the same struggle as me - dark hair, dark eyes, relatively light skin that’s kind of olive or neutral (not overly-cool or warm). I stick to all the universal colors: Google Jen Thoden Universal Colors. In general, her channel and content are interesting but don’t get too obsessed with fitting yourself into a “box”. She really believes everyone fits into a box, but I definitely do not. And that’s cool…I just choose my colors based on the universal palette, what I like, and the season (I’m warmer in summer because I get tan from outdoor sports).

Thank you! l’ll check it out 🤍
HI. Can you make a video on what you eat and how you workout, basically what you do to stay in shape? Absolutely love your body, its just GOALS!!!
You're very well informed but humble about it!

Im obsessed with your channel !! Can you do a video of places to shop to find good pieces!! PLEASEEE💕
Ahh love these trends. Really want to pick up some thrifted pants and get then tailored like you have :)
🤍🤍🤍
Love it😊. By the way where the blazer is from?
This style of sleeves/edges is called „lettuce sleeve/edge” and I also really like it!
That putty color suits your skin on camera really well. It's not an easy color to pull off.
Aww thank you so much! 🥰🤍

Yup, this is also why I always like to look at a lot of vintage photos for inspo a lot of the time. 🤍🤍
Look into Ariat boots. They are the most comfortable boots because they have Nike technology. I’ve walked miles in mine
Loved your style! What size are is your top from Mara Hoffman? By the way you might like the Babaton Tribune Cashmere Vest from Aritzia.
