Yes, everything happens for a reason and you being home right now is the right place to be. But you did hike the entire length of New Mexico which is a pretty big deal all by itself. Got acquainted with you last year on the Long Trail with Marmalade. Disappointed, but understand your need to delay the trip. I am familiar with knee injuries and yes, the hazards of posthole travel. I suspect, though, that you'll be back on trail sooner rather than later.
