Also why would anyone who qualified SUBSAFE step on that deathtrap. He didn't hire submariners to save money it was because any submariner would of pointed out this was not going to work at least in a safe consistent manner. Saving money was just a bonus for him. He can count his savings whilst he starves for air
100 percent. He used race as a cover. He just didn't want anyone on staff that would tell him he was doing something wrong. He also didn't want to pay. It was absolutely ridiculous.
To be fair to the guy, he only said he wanted bring people who don't get a chance to see the Titanic down to see her, he didn't say anything about bringing them back up.

Nothing inspires me more than competence and skill.
My Grandpa was career Navy, served for 25 years, and fought in WWII and Korea. He always told us kids that people who WANT to serve in submarines are ALL crazy. The man knew of whence he spoke.
I worked on Subs in San Diego while on the USS Dixon. No way was I volunteering after seeing how tight they are. Plus Hot Racking was not for me.

@@yanni2112 I went and toured an aircraft carrier in San Diego some years after my Grandpa died and I was SHOCKED by how much every surface REEKED of diesel fumes! How did guys not get lung cancer, en masse? Grandpa served on battleships, aircraft carriers, and I think destroyers. Was the diesel smell that bad in subs too, yanni?

I watched a story on the sub. The sub is very simple. He described it as like an elevator. One button push to go down, one to raise the sub. Some of the parts he was buying to build the sub were pretty questionable. I think he said he bought a part from Harbor Freight. 😂

The only reason not to have experienced ex-Navy nuke submariners is none of these folks would ever dive in a non-certified vessel. I am an ex-Navy nuke submariner and to me, this thing is crazy. 12,000 feet in a non-certified vessel? How did the Canadian government would even allow it to dive.

when you go under water then you see clear its when you come up its covered the shield. I would still prefer a triton submarine. Its not something we are able to do, thats because its an extreme environment, its epic imo

lol the automobile as you say has been basically the same since it's inception (steering, suspension, brakes and everything is much better now obviously) and in the beginning you didn't even need any sort of license to drive.
