      Also why would anyone who qualified SUBSAFE step on that deathtrap. He didn't hire submariners to save money it was because any submariner would of pointed out this was not going to work at least in a safe consistent manner. Saving money was just a bonus for him. He can count his savings whilst he starves for air

    My Grandpa was career Navy, served for 25 years, and fought in WWII and Korea. He always told us kids that people who WANT to serve in submarines are ALL crazy. The man knew of whence he spoke.

      @@yanni2112 I went and toured an aircraft carrier in San Diego some years after my Grandpa died and I was SHOCKED by how much every surface REEKED of diesel fumes! How did guys not get lung cancer, en masse? Grandpa served on battleships, aircraft carriers, and I think destroyers. Was the diesel smell that bad in subs too, yanni?

    I watched a story on the sub. The sub is very simple. He described it as like an elevator. One button push to go down, one to raise the sub. Some of the parts he was buying to build the sub were pretty questionable. I think he said he bought a part from Harbor Freight. 😂

    One of the reasons he probably didn't hire someone with years of sub experience because there was too many “what about”, “where is”, “what if”, and “have you thought about” questions. He probably went through several of these guys before he said, “fuck it - I’m through with these old know-it-alls”.

    The only reason not to have experienced ex-Navy nuke submariners is none of these folks would ever dive in a non-certified vessel. I am an ex-Navy nuke submariner and to me, this thing is crazy. 12,000 feet in a non-certified vessel? How did the Canadian government would even allow it to dive.

    I know a guy with one of those subs 4:21
    I can’t fit in it and I doubt I’d ever use one. They are inherently DANGEROUS due to unforeseen rocks, swimmers and other obstacles, but they are fun.

    lol the automobile as you say has been basically the same since it's inception (steering, suspension, brakes and everything is much better now obviously) and in the beginning you didn't even need any sort of license to drive.
