He told me he can't imagine taking a voyage with a few thousand civilians who have no clue how to put on a life vest or get into a life boat. My father was a Navy vet who took a very long cruise from '44-'53. He did take Cunard and the Italian Line in the 30s and after his days in the Navy during the 50s and early 60s on the Queen Elizabeth, and Queen Mary. Those were luxury liners. Even people in 3rd Class/Tourist behaved behaved back then not like the Thunderdome of today. Civility is gone because it's considered "Western" and "White". Today it's "Thug Class".
