MAJOR Fleetwood vibes. My favorite song on the album by far.
Getting a late 70s sound. I hear Foreignor influences also.
I agree and I used to say, there's something about Lisa Marie Presley that reminds me of Stevie Nicks. They had that same style. Now Riley sounds a lot like both of them in my opinion. Beautiful song. I love it. ❤️
You beat me too it😂😂😂 Since the beginning I imagined a fictional Fleetwood Mac coming together🤘🏾🤘🎼
yes it is
Yes. And I’m completely addicted to this, such well crafted arrangements! Big FM fan ❤
Definitely the most Fleetwood mac song on the record, and by default my favourite, this is gorgeous
Equal parts Rhiannon, Dreams, You Make Lovin' Fun, The Chain, I Don't Want To Know, Gold Dust Woman
definitely this and the river !
Same! I love HoneyComb but this one i feel has the best of both worlds!
The way the series tells how this song has been written gives goosebumps. Masterpiece.
You're spot on! I am in the middle of the series now and this just finished that episode. Such a magical feeling when they were writing the song. Great series.
You know it’s made up right? They never existed.
Being a Fleetwood Mac connoisseur and always wanting more of the Mac, this music is definitely in that arena. Absolutely in love and obsessed with the series, actors, and music. Every actor adds so much to the story that it wouldn’t work without a single one. Amazing how art imitates the real McCoy. The vocals, guitar, and the killer keyboards are so reminiscent of Fleetwood Mac and make me miss Christine McVie even more. Crazy…this song “is under my skin” and I hear it in my head and sing it throughout my day. Music and acting that comes around once in a lifetime. I will be jonesing once the series ends…but the music lives on.
I think Suki Waterhouse did a great job of portraying someone who isn't necessarily Christine McVie, but who was a big inspiration for that character. Kind of a shame the character of Karen never did a lead vocal. Most of those characters are composites of anyone who was anyone in 70s rock culminating in this Buckingham-Nicks-era Fleetwood Mac type band.
@@jennygroom73Christine and Lindsey were also lead vocalist as well as Stevie…
Makes me sad we’ll never see that lineup play together again
Lindsey Stevie Muck John …Christine RIP
Members of Fleetwood Mac: "I don't remember recording that one".
Right? 😆
Haha! I've been a Fleetwood fan since I was a kid, as well as Stevie's solo stuff... the sound definitely makes this show even more addicting!
It is such a good song. 😁
Drugs do that too you.
Meanwhile Lindsay Buckingham is banging his head....
The chorus and the harmonies in the chorus are SUBLIMELY beautiful
I can't believe what great singers both of them are. She has a strong voice and should pursue a singing career as well, and he is really good too. I was so impressed by this mini series
Yes for me too. It direcly touched my soul and this drama of unfulfilled love beetween Daisy and Billy was so bittersweet and full of drama. But overall, what I liked is, that he stood to his wife when she was getting so angry and jealous on Daisy that she has left Billy. But in the closing story, Billy and Camilla had their love saved and had some wonderful years until Camilla was dying. And the best was in my eyes that his daughter recorded everything after the spilt of the band and in the end she told Billy that Camilla wanted him to contact Daisy as her Legacy "You still have to write a song for me." What a lovely ending.❤
Oh my !
She is Elvis’nephew… her voice vibes ❤
@@p8littleShe is Elvis‘ GRANDDAUGHTER!
Being Elvis's granddaughter, she is an instant nepo success, even if she hadn't gotten the family talent.
Bring's Back Those 70's VIBES!!!! So Fleetwood Mac like.
When this song played in show it gave me the chills!!
Been a Fleetwood Mac fan for 50 years and this group does sound so close to Mac!!! Love this song so much!! 💝💝💝💝
Have you liked the series? :)
Everything about this song screams Fleetwood Mac automatically making this one my favorite.
WTF?! this song is soo good😂sounds like instant classic!
i'd defenetly sing this song so loud in a concert, rip my head off, ruin my makeup and all, this song sounds like driving around sundown with your windows down singing out loud. amazing 10/10
I actually did sound for a Fleetwood Mac tribute once. That was a fun moment for me as I know all those records inside and out, and I have seen the Rumours episode of Classic Albums 100+ times. Years ago, but still.
I can´t stop listening the album since the show. I´m a 60s 70s girl and i celebrate this beautiful journey they did with the story. Such a talented ppl. Congrats from Argentina 💘
LYRICS
You found me lost in a daydream
Feelin' I've been awake too long
My eyes are open while my heart keeps sinking
Deeper 'til the days are gone
Doesn't mean I couldn't believe it
Doesn't mean I won't believe it still
Every lie is true at the time, baby
That's the thrill
Oh, won't you let me down, let me down
Let me down easy if you're gonna let me down?
If you're gonna let me down
Let me down easy if you're gonna let me down
Don't you go and tell me that you love me while you're leavin'
If you're gonna leave me now, oh
If you're gonna let me down
Let me down easy if you're gonna let me down
I could see us waving in the distance
Like a mirage on sand
That could be us trading secrets
No one else could understand
I got you under my skin now
Why do you make it so hard?
Don't leave me broken and free
Won't you tell me where you are?
Oh, won't you let me down, let me down
Let me down easy if you're gonna let me down?
If you're gonna let me down
Let me down easy if you're gonna let me down
Don't you go and tell me that you love me while you're leavin'
If you're gonna leave me now, oh
If you're gonna let me down
Let me down easy if you're gonna let me down
If you're gonna let me down
Let me down easy if you're gonna let me down
If you're gonna let me down
Let me down easy if you're gonna let me down
Don't you go and tell me that you love me
While you're leavin' if you're gonna leave me now, oh
If you're gonna let me down
Let me down easy if you're gonna let me down
❤❤❤
❤
Thanks !!
Why is this song making me feel so emotional? Every time I hear it (and I listen to it A LOT) I feel like I'm gonna cry and this feeling inside my chest, longing for and missing something I've never experienced... like really loving this band than never really existed. They really did something special here...
SEASON 2 AND TOUR PLEASE!
As we move toward the second half of 2023, I would have to say this is my favorite song of the year so far.
It feels a lil like Elvis's legacy lives on in Riley. Plus her dad was a musician to. It seems like it's always been in her cards. Great job !
I love this song, gives me a Fleetwood vibe
This song is a masterclass in how to build energy in a song. It includes and takes out so many elements to change the energy and ends in a crescendo with a key change and all elements thrown back in. Just….amazing.
Song just brought me to tears.....from the beating drums in the beginning JUST LIKE the great Mick Fleetwood....then those riffs, harmonies, lyrics. Man.....just no words how beautiful and such a gorgeous homage to the Mac
Finally good rock music makes a comeback.
They complimented the book well with the series and mostly with the music.
Agreed 100%. The music could have been so much better. This song was the strongest among the whole lot. Besides, they had Amy Millan, Brendan Canning, Andrew Whiteman and Ariel Engleas consultants in the writer's room and I think Jackson Browne was part of the creative process too. With all that songwriting power, they could have taken it to the limit one more time and just paid them to write all the songs and I think it would have been 100x better than the merely decent songs that were there. Let Me Down Easy was the strongest of the lot of them.
The only song from the show that actually gave me goosebumps and really brought up emotions
Yes, definitely Fleetwood style , I love this!!
Amazing how even the drums sounds like Mick in “Dreams” during the chorus of this songs. Fantastic work!
Riley and the Six are fabulous and Riley is a big fave of mine. Excellent series. Congratulations on your nomination ❤❤❤👌👌👌⚡️⚡️⚡️🍀
been in my head all day love this soundtrack
Great song. I loved the scene when they finally played the finished song in the studio. “The first song Billy and Daisy wrote together”.
It’s so catchy and like everyone else says it has a huge Fleetwood Mac vibe to it.

Amazing, how she smiles like her Grandfather(Elvis)
Best song of the show. Love it.
The Beat reminds me of "Dreams" by Fleetwood Mac 💜 love this song
I've been a Fleetwood Mac fan for many, many years, and this particular song reminds me of Stevie and Lindsey. This is the best song on the series
Love ir!
ITS SO LIKE FLEETWOOD MAC AND I’M LIVING FOR ITTTT
I never heard of them until now. Same vibes as Fleetwood Mac. Ill have to add to my truck driving list.

I remember attending their Chicago concert. It was epic!!!

I want to go and see them play!!! Pity it’s a show. I love this song.
I heard they are going to go on tour actually!
I really hope some of the Fleetwood Mac tributes out there actually put this song into their set list.
Wow elvis would be very proud of his daughter and granddaughter ❤!
Love this song and the mini series
By far my favorite song of the show!
Elvis definitely handed down some vocals to his grand daughter!
The fact that I've heard this song more than once on a big radio station in my country is soooo weird, but so cool
Just discovered the show…… Love the show love the music❤❤ Love Riley, Keough
Reminds me of a Mashup of Go Your Own Way & Rhiannon ❤️
Always in my head. Favorite song.
I cannot get this song out of my head and it absolutely could’ve fit right in as a track on one of the first 2 albums SN & LB did with Fleetwood Mac. - big “I Don’t Wanna Know” vibes!! It’s a great song ⭐️🌟✨💫
this whole album has me in a chokehold
First time I heard this, I was like, this is so Fleetwood. Id love to hear Stevie belt this out.
Heard this yesterday and I'm trying to learn it today
Absolutely my favourite song
IN LOVE WITH THIS SONG & SHOW SO FAR.

Amazzzzziiing!!!! Love this song!!!!!
70s fashion is back yee
So awesome!!!! So Fleetwood Mac!!! In love with this music👍
It's like if Elvis' granddaughter was in Fleetwood Mac!
Why did she not sing all these years😢
The soundtrack is seriously impressive
Love this song
The best song from daisy jones and the six by far
Love this song! ❤
”I…..I dream of you when i close my eyes”. I’m always crying. My dad who passed away comes to my mind and my heart aches. Sarah is just one of a kind to sing like that- to touch your soul and mind.
Rhiannon is that you??
Well spotted
Also Big Love a decade before the Tango In the Night sessions started. That would be interesting to see Daisy Jones and The Six in the mid 80s exhausted and gacked up out of their minds with big hair, and Billy rolls up in a DeLorean totally coked up with Van Halen on the car radio, and Daisy with big poofy 80s hair fresh out of the Betty Ford clinic.
Actually like this song a lot! The music is good from the series 🎉
of all the songs in DJTS soundtracks this is my absolute fav
made someone listen to this song and he loved it. now he wants to attend if they have a concert lol
best song of the year
I'm obsessed
Karen really slayed those keyboards
Absolutely timeless...doesn't get better
Que sonoridade perfeita!!!
this is my most faveeeee
Wonderful!
Can't stop listening over and over again-it's so awesome, it's friggin' addiciting!
Beautiful ❤️
I keep coming back to this one. Its literally amazing wow!
According to producer and operator of Sound City Tony Berg, this song was actually written by his daughter "Z Berg" (Elizabeth Anne "Z" Berg). It was probably in collaboration with Blake Mills, etc.
extraño cuando volví esta serie y este álbum mi entera personalidad
this is so fucking good
Aii que perfeito 💖
Great song!
Great song 🎸🎼
Great song..I love it
My favourite song in this album ❤
I agree. This song sound like a composition of Lindsey and Stevie, like Fleetwood Mac, and is my favourite.
I heard they actually shot the Sound City interior scenes at Sound City re-creating the 70s era Sound City within Sound City. The gear isn't accurate though. The console and tape machines in shot are the Helios Type 69 paired with a 16 track 3M M79 that are currently in use at the newly re-opened Sound City. The Neve 8028 and the Studer 24 track A80 tape machine that were originally there that recorded Buckingham/Nicks, the "white" Fleetwood Mac albums are at Dave Grohl's Studio 606 (as seen in the 2011 documentary Sound City).
Also, the album "Aurora" homages was recorded using an API console at completely different studio in the Bay area (The Record Plant Sausalito). And in the book, Aurora was recorded at Wally Hider's, which also had a ton of massive records done there which used a custom API console designed by Frank Demedio. Most of the big records done on the west coast in the mid 1970s were done on Neve, API and SSL consoles, all custom built for the studios they were in and for recorders, most likely tracked to Studer A80/800 (the Cadillac of analog multitracks - built like a brick shithouse and as precise as a Swiss clock) using Ampex 456 tape formula.
Another "audio nerd" thing they missed was the fact that the current M79 16 track, with all the intricate overdubs, they would have had to bounce a lot of tracks down to two track and "fly them back in" to a track on the master multitrack. It's not like nowadays with Pro Tools where you can just comp everything and have over a hundred tracks you can just stem down if you want to run the stems through an analog console during mixdown if you don't want to mix "in the box". Fleetwood Mac's Rumours sessions in Sausilito had a problem with tape shedding because analog tape wasn't as sturdy as the earlier tape formulas due to the oil crisis so over time, as the tape was repeatedly run over the heads during bed tracking, overdubs, bouncing down/flying in from two track, dubbing safety reels, demagnetizing the heads and realigning them for every single session the high end would start to slowly fade due to the oxide on the tape physically sticking to the tape heads. So in order to get the lost high frequencies which dulled the sound of the drums back so they sounded fresher (basically anything above 4.5-6khz and boosting master EQ or drum bus EQ would only add more noise), they had to take all the other tracks, the guitars, bass, keyboards, vocals and transfer it to the other tape that had the cleaner sounding drum tracks and do it without a sync track, which was like what is encoded on a Serato control record which locks up tape machines and compensates for motor drift called SMPTE time code (and nowadays can lock up to a DAW like Pro Tools to the point where it's sample accurate) so they had to use the pitch control on the tape machine to keep both machines in sync and pan the drum tracks of one tape machine in the left, and the other machine on the right so if it started to drift, the sound would move from one ear to the other and you changed the speed of the machine to get the drums in the "centre" of the stereo field on the headphones. That was about 14 hours of utter screwdriver work. Nowadays, you can just dump it into Pro Tools, quantize everything to the grid, takes about 5 minutes if you're thorough. There is no way an input heavy session like this would be done straight on 16 tracks. There would have been a lot of bounces to the two-track and fly-ins back to the 16 track reel if they had used the M79 that's there now. With the Neve and the Studer 24 track they had in the mid 70s (which are now at Dave Grohl's Studio 606), they had 8 extra tracks to play with which made a huge difference back then. Hard to appreciate what went into making those records before DAWs changed the recording process forever.
This!🎶💖💖💖💖
