A nice followup would be her passing by that old shrine, only to find the human either working on repairing it and clearing the paths to it, or has already completed that part and is just resting for a moment. Her surprise would be wonderful to hear.

Arachne was a person in Greek myth who was talented in weaving and was cursed to turn into a spider when she beat/insulted Athena. The jorogumo is more a youkai in Japanese myth, a female monster that is a man eater.
