Have you ever visited "The Old Plank Road" located near Yuma ? It's incredible seeing that in person & walking along the remains. It's quite an accomplishment from way back in the day. You look at it in amazement and can't help but appreciate what we now have today.
I can not tell a lie. When I saw 29 minutes and 1 second, my heart sank a little for getting half an episode, but when I saw that rug hightailing it in the preview, I quickly settled in.
Yes! Thank you! Sondra is working on getting the sinus issue resolved... it may lead to other improvements which we're excited about seeing if it happens.
The only reason we take our RV to Cali is to see family. If we did not have family we would not go there. 'The sewer whisperer' You gotta go with the 'flow' 🤣
Sondra's emotions were on a pendulum in this episode - the lows of the broken tooth, the uncertainty of being accepted at the campground, to the joys of 3 shrimp tacos and a great pull-through site in Palm Springs. Meanwhile, Mr. Sewer Whisperer wore his usual Hawaiian cool. You two are such a fit! Enjoy the palms.❤
We love the Palm Springs area and will try to experience a few new activities too. Quite the pendulum for certain this past week. Wow! But, it may lead to Sondra getting her taste back which would be amazing. Thank you for sticking around on this video.
Welcome back to California, enjoy your stay. Glad the rains did not cause a problem, I was camping in Johnson Valley and was worried that rain would get the Motorhome stuck but I got out in time, no stuck for the win.
Great to get a short visit in with you folks. We stayed at the Pilot Knob Encore site for a couple of days earlier in the winter, people were great, but WOW, the traffic noise was relentless. Maybe we are spoiled, but we much prefer the sound of coyotes yipping to the symphony of Trucks on THE 8
Glad you stored by, John. That was such a pleasant surprise to meet you. That's a good point on the traffic noise... we sure enjoyed the quiet where we were located.
My travels in Cali outside of the LA and San Fran areas have been nice. I’ve haven’t had issues with our rig anywhere there. But people hear the drama and trauma stories and assume it applies to everyone everywhere. Nice drone shots!
Thanks, Jim. I also think people believe what they are conditioned to believe (and/or want to believe) and thus California gets a bad rep on the RV travel. Lots of great areas to see...not just LA & SF. Safe travels to you.
Sondra I am right there with you with dental work. I got my tooth extracted in October and next Tuesday will have the post put in for the implant. Then in four months go back to get that uncovered so my dentist can do the crown work. It is quite the process and very expensive. I’m sure it is much cheaper in Mexico. I can’t wait for the process to be complete. I hate having the missing tooth as I only chew on one side and don’t like how it feels. Good luck to you with your sinuses and all. Thanks for another great video. Can’t wait to see what “trouble” you two get into in the next week. God Bless.
I grew up in southeastern AZ in a town called Douglas. Both of my parents had grown up on ranches nearby, and they each came from large families. Most of their siblings had moved to Southern CA for better opportunities, so that was usually where we went on vacation. Because of the desert heat in the summer and the lack of air conditioning in our 50s era cars, we usually started our drive at night. This was the pre-interstate era, too. By the time we got to Yuma, it was daylight, and my dad let us play on the sand dunes for a short time before heading on to San Diego or LA. So, your video brought back a lot of memories today.❤ I wondered last week if you were going to film the sand dunes during your stay in Yuma and I am thankful you did.😊 I'm sorry about your dental problems Sondra.
It is definitely a process, Christy. We were not expecting them to refuse the implant due to sinus issues but we are thankful they did so we can try to get it corrected. Might lead to Sondra getting her taste back!
Two things. In Palm Springs Sherman's Deli is a great place to eat. The reason that "The" is in front of the freeway numbers goes back to the 1950's 60's and early 79's when each freeway or section of freeway had a specific name like 99 which became the 5 was originally named the Santa Ana freeway. And the "The" was kept when every freeway became a number. Newer freeways are now named after someone. Other examples are Hollywood Freeway is the 101 up to the 170. The 101 continues north but becomes the Ventura freeway.
We'll check out Sherman's Deli. They are usually packed in there. Thank you so much about the explanation on "the". Makes a lot of sense and brings that to full circle. Really appreciate your history lesson and helps us to understand the background. So cool. Thank you again.
I am glad you are settled in Palm Desert, I hope you are having fun in my backyard. I hope I see you while you are here. Enjoy p.s. hope you are feeling better after the dentist visit
Thanks, Mary. We're having a great time visiting the PS area and doing some different activities that we didn't do on previous visits. Appreciate your comments.
It looks like a Thousand Trails park we've stayed in before. The roads are very narrow even though the sites are pull-through. And they are sticklers for having all your papers in order! Lol. We had to call our insurance company and have them email us a copy of our proof of insurance. But it all worked out. We used to have to do that in all our TT parks in CA. Then many of them quit requiring it, and we got lazy and didn't make sure we were prepared. But this RV park still requires it to enter.
Shrimp tacos make everything better 😍 Glad you showed Imperial Dunes. We are some of those crazy people that ride the dunes. We’ve been doing it since 1986. Love it! But, we’ve never been there…yet. But it looks awesome! Thanks for sharing all your adventures with us! Take care and safe travels! ❤️~Wendy
You can't delete the basement behind the tires so you don't have to worry about being stuck on humps,I ever get one that's how I'm having it done.. I don't like leaving bad impression 😅
We don't either and always aware of getting high centered while on the road going over RR tracks or big humps. So far so good...can't go off-road but then we don't want to be THAT far off road! 🤔😯🤣😎
As a long time SoCal resident and RVr, I gotta say, California is a great place to visit, but I hate living here! Lol...as for Palm Springs, love it, but hate the sand storms.. Enjoy your time here...
Sand storms are no fun but so far the weather has been perfect. Love visiting California but we'd definitely never live in the state. But we really enjoy visiting the Palm Springs area. Thanks for watching.
Here’s the term we’d have used in the plane for that scared feeling………”sucking up a seat cushion”. When the engines spool down - you look at each other and say…”Man, I was sucking’ up a seat cushion on that one!” I’m glad you were where you needed to be when you needed to be there. Timing really IS everything, right?! “bulky member”?! 😂 good vid, y’all! TFS
Ok, Mary, that's a good phrase for that feeling! 😆 I'll remember that one. We were very fortunate indeed to be where we needed to be when we needed to be there. Thanks 😄
You have to see Saturday Night Live with the "Californian's giving directions just like David did. Such a great skit. Maybe you already saw it, but you made me laugh.
The extent Sondra will go to just for a shrimp taco(s) is unbelievable... we call my wife "Cinco Taco"... California mountains and dunes looked awesome.
Wow! You guys had quite a week. Feel better Sondra. Extractions are no fun. Good they let you in the RV park because I wouldn't want to go there and straighten them out for messing with my favorite couple. Enjoy your days in Palm Springs. Safe travels. 😂
Thank you 🤗, Joe. We told them we may have to call in the big guns if they gave us any trouble...🤣😂😎We're thankful it all worked out so well. Sondra is feeling better each day so we're hopeful this works out well.
It's Friday!!! The sewer whisperer is hilarious. I suspect that is just above the position of S Kicker. I've never had a shrimp taco and I own a shrimp farm. Lol clearly based on Sondra's reaction they are well worth more research. Great video guys, I love seeing the Chanel grow every week. Safe travels 😂
Thanks, Brendan. With all that shrimp, you've got to try them. Sondra says she can replicate it so when we get down under then she can make some for you guys. Oh... the "whisperer" is at least two levels above the S Kicker position... doesn't want to get his "feet dirty". Lol
PLEASE get a second opinion from an Oral Surgeon about your implant! 35 years as a dental hygienist and I would recommend the sinus lift and bone graft be done by an oral surgeon not a general dentist in Mexico.
Glad you enjoyed it, We really appreciate your time watching the channel and are excited to have you along on the journey. Thanks for being a part of the story.
Hi,Have you ever while you drove through Indio have you ever visited the Submarines ? There worthwhile seeing and you don’t even have to go to the Ocean!
Great to see your arrival to PSgs. We love that area. We've been there several times at sky valley, and in Indo area at my brothers house when he had it. Good times. We will enjoy following. Wondering if you can show how you unload the car. So handy to have that lil car.
ua-cam.com/video/tFMgH7NvupY/v-deo.html This will show how we unload the car about midway. We're looking forward to our stay in Palm Springs. Thanks for watching.
I bit into what was supposed to be boneless chicken back in Nov. I'm now missing a front tooth and praying my insurance will finally help. They won't pay for implant, but hopefully a partial until I can afford an implant. I have left my home since, I will not go in public. I just enjoy you two each week and love your little puns lol... Stay safe ❤
Hi,Guys: TT isn't going to limit rig length of rv's. Instead, beginning this spring they're going to start assigning sites according to rig size. Before one would find a twenty foot rig in a 45' space simply because they could. Many folks will resist the new rules, but it will eliminate the current insanity of people saving sites for friends, and tents camping in fhu 40' sites. This news came from corporate headquarters. I enjoy your videos, and your fine presentations. Michael Rzewuski
Hey David! You're not leaving the sewer hose open, are you? We were told if you leave open all the time , sewer fumes will infiltrate your tanks. Glad you guys are doing well!
Never, Johnny, never. I leave it hooked up but I don't leave it open. Always close it and when I do dump it I always follow with dumping grey as well. During a week's stay, I will flush the black tank as well at least once.
Hi from AZ...hope your weather is not too snowy or cold. Thank you very much. We're very thankful everything worked out as it did, we hope this will help with Sondra's taste as well.
I love LA & Palm Springs/Desert! And pretty much any beach (I do have some standards & watching for sharps is not up to snuff), but then I live in a landlocked province that has two seasons, construction & winter🤣. I haven’t done it with a RV. Yet. Our’s is only 30’ so won’t be as challenging as your set up! Your set up gives me anxiety but it would be amazing to ride in the truck!
didnt i see at the rv show you purchased power solar panel retractors ? or maybe just me thinking something that needs to be made. no more roof climbing at 630am. ha
Good question, Steve! Some of it is by feel as you walk in, some through recommendations or Google reviews. It is a tough decision no doubt. We're happy with our selection.
The best is to get recommendations from friends that frequent the area. My parents for example were snowbirds to Yuma for 30 years so I used their knowledge of Los Algodones.
Really enjoying your adventures! Just wondering if you are members of TT Encore, and what membership you find to be the most useful. If you have a video about this, could you please point me to it, and better yet, a current impression of TT would be great. We have a big rig too, and always find it difficult to find good places.
I probably could but part of the design was an easier way to deploy the panels. The struts work great we just have to be aware of the winds... we may make an improvement. Working on it now...
😆 🤣 We bought it and started driving. No classes but a lot of experience over 8 years. In the beginning, we went to places we were comfortable and kept expanding as we gained more confidence.
I have heard of horse whisperers but sewer ? the conclusion is they both smell Lol . All that worry of zero site and it was one of the easiest you have done in a while.
Well Sondra, guess you'll just have to join the "snaggle" tooth club with some of the rest of us (lol). I've been there with two of mine. The latter (years ago) cracked tooth removal I had it all ready with the added bone, etc. for a future implant. But guess what, I never felt I needed it nor the expense (no dental insurance). But the option is still there. And ahhhh, Palm Springs/Palm Desert/Rancho Mirage/Bermuda Dunes/La Quinta/Indio. Lived there before going back to San Diego and VA, well before my RV ownership. Way too hot (but nothing a beautiful backyard pool can't fix) in the summer but perfect weather all other times back in those days. Glad you didn't have any TT problems/rejection and can get that laundry caught up! Piled up like the sand dunes huh? (LOL) Again it was fun except the tooth stuff but you'll be just fine.
Hey KB! 👋 We do enjoy this area to visit.... in the winter/spring! Summer would be too hot but that's why we have wheels! Sondra is feeling better everyday, thanks. As always, appreciate your comments and your time watching the channel. #1!
Glad you enjoyed it, We really appreciate your time watching the channel and are excited to have you along on the journey. Thanks for being a part of the story.
We just changed our plans to add in Palm Springs after watching your videos!!! Which dentist did you go to on Los Algadones. We are traveling and need teeth cleaning and googling is so many choices. Hoping for a recommendation. Thanks!!!ps. Had a whatabuger for the first time !!
Sweet! Hope you guys enjoyed it. We used Simply Dental in Los Algodones. We really like them. We did a Palm Springs video last year on some different things to do. Thanks for watching.
Documenting your journey must take time, I love seeing the drone shots for another perspective - that means you have to stop get the drone out and fly it as you make the corner (great shot by the way) - appreciate the extra work you put into creating the story. What software are you using for editing and how much time does it normally take you to edit, add music and titles to your weekly vlog? Hope Sondra's mouth is feeling better. Safe travels to you both!
Thank you very much. The aerial shots do add a unique perspective which I think is cool. Each video is different so it's hard to say what I spend each week producing them. Some will only take me about 8 hours and others will be closer to 40! Really glad to have you along on the journey. 😊
Were you interested in sharing dental costs in Mexico? I needed 6 implants - my CO and German dentists wanted $24k. I got the 6 implants, a root canal, 5 fillings, a sinus lift and xrays for $5500 in Izmir, Turkey.
They have good dentists in Los Algodones and great service. We were extremely skeptical 8 years ago when we visited the first time but our experiences have been good so we continue to go back. Appreciate your comments.
@bigtruckbigtravels we use to have one near us in Michigan but it's gone. We are in fla till may will Google to see if any around. So enjoy u two your living my dream. God bless can't wait for your next adventure thank u Nancy
California isn’t always big rig friendly, it just depends on where you go. Even at 38 ft for just our trailer, we are sometimes to long. We’re staying at Coachella Lakes RV Park in March and that one is big rig friendly. I can’t imagine being your size and finding places you can fit into.
You're correct. Like any state, there are places we can't go due to our size but California gives you great info on what roads they suggest you can travel with no difficulty. Plus the scenery is beautiful. We research our travel plans before hitting the road. It's amazing where we can fit. Thanks for watching.
Lots of dental services down there which are at least 50%-70% less expensive than the US. Most of the larger offices have the same technology that the US doctors do and their service is very good. We've had a great experience with it.
Great question, Joseph. The Kahanamoku family is very famous in Hawaii, mostly due to Duke Kahanamoku's success as a swimmer and surfer. After winning gold, silver and bronze medals in 5 different Olympics, helping to popularize and introduce surfing to Australia and being the Ambassador in Hawaii once it became a state he also served as Sheriff for Honolulu for many years. He has a statue in Australia and on Waikiki Beach so having a beach and pond named after the family was a natural progression, I guess. Thanks for watching.
We do too, Joyce. Thank you for watching the channel. We're excited to be able to share our experiences with everyone and to give back to the RV community.
Reviews, talking to different people and walking in to talk with the dentists. It's daunting because there are soooo many down there. We like Simply Dental.
I live here in Commifornia my diesel RV is registered out of state due to the regulations and garbage..the highest fuel taxes in the nation, highest prices 48 states, highest electric prices in the 48 states...the climate is great, ocean, mountains deserts and micro climates...otherwise its a crapshow
😆 not smashed. Sondra and one of our granddaughters had a mani/pedi session... that's as far as the "mani" portion of the session got before she moved on to other activities. Sondra has kept it for sentimental reasons thus far in 2024. Great question! Thanks for watching.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ What are your height restrictions for your tractor and trailer. I drove a tractor and trailer for 28 years and now disable retired. I know Starcraft builds the new semi trailers and I was curious of height on each. Thank you for take time to respond in advance. ❤❤❤💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿
Since Pathfinder has a small engine, Smart recommends putting high octane (over 91) in it. We've used lower octane and the fuel mpg/power are reduced slightly. We just always fill it up with "the good stuff". Better on the engine and it's only about 6 gallons usually! 😂😎
The "the" designation in front of the freeway numbers in California is mostly found in Southern California and is rarely used in Northern California. Those of us in the Bay Area, or NorCal in general, can tell when someone is from SoCal if they use that particular expression. As a previous commenter pointed out it is a remnant of when freeways used to have names. For example, if giving directions from San Jose to Sacramento we (in the Bay Area) would say "take 680 north bound to 80 east bound to Sacramento. When you hit a wall of traffic in Vacaville and feel your soul being sucked out of you, you are going in the right direction." But generally we would not say "The 680". Good videos by the way. Really enjoyed your Alaska trip.
Ok, that's interesting. We didn't realize it was a SoCal thing. Some definite differences between north and south "customs & traditions" in California. Thanks for watching and really appreciate your comments too!
I'm from the Bay area, Oakland and San Jose and I've always said "the" in front of freeways! Maybe it's a surfers thing, but I know a lot of non suffers that use that dialect too!
Thank you. We love the ability to change our backyard with the seasons and are very fortunate to be able to be comfortable while camping. Appreciate your time watching the channel.
It's never the joke that gets me. It's y'all laughing after. Thank you for taking time to share your journeys.
We're glad you enjoyed it and appreciate your time watching the channel. 😃

So excited found a Chester's chicken about 40 miles from us ere in fla lake Wales in our way. Enjoying your utube so much. Thank u Nancy
Chesters is good...we enjoy them. Thanks
Sorry for the "short" video but not all can be "epic movie" length! 😊🤣😎 Glad you stuck around since this one has some neat shots. Thanks.
Another lovely video! Hope the sinus issue gets resolved soon, and that the dental work discomfort is subsiding. “The Sewer Whisperer” - too funny!
Yes! Thank you! Sondra is working on getting the sinus issue resolved... it may lead to other improvements which we're excited about seeing if it happens.
What a time you have had‼️ I hope you can enjoy Palm Springs now and relax‼️And Sondra I hope you heal from all your mouth trauma too❤️😊👍‼️
Thank you, Linda. It's getting better each day. Looking forward to Palm Springs. 🌴
Love your videos. Hope your doing better with your sinuses and teeth. Thank you for sharing. Stay safe.
thanks, Diane. Glad you're along on the journey. We hope they get cleared up soon.

Sondra's tooth reminded me that my husband actually broke a tooth on lettuce. Totally amazing what you can break a tooth on.
On lettuce?!? It is incredible...when it's time to go, it's time! Thanks
Welcome back to California, enjoy your stay. Glad the rains did not cause a problem, I was camping in Johnson Valley and was worried that rain would get the Motorhome stuck but I got out in time, no stuck for the win.
That is excellent, Steve. Getting stuck is no fun. Thanks for watching.
Oh no about the tooth! Hope you feel better soon. And. You get your mat back.
Thanks, Kristen. Retrieved the mat...tooth still sore but getting better.

That looked like fun, Wendy. I think a much different experience than riding over the rocks! You gotta try the shrimp tacos down there! So good!
Love it California is Disneyland 😊
Oh yeah. We'll get out there one of these days!

Wow, haven’t seen a dental chair with the old swirling spit bowl in at least 40 years! I hope they do good work.
The work was great. A little old school on the chair but everything else was top notch. Digital x-rays were cool... and weird! 😆 🤣
As a long time SoCal resident and RVr, I gotta say, California is a great place to visit, but I hate living here! Lol...as for Palm Springs, love it, but hate the sand storms.. Enjoy your time here...

It would be easier if Sondra just asked to go get them! 😆 🤣 The dunes were cool. Appreciate your time watching the channel. 😃
You’re a trooper for staying so positive about the situation! Rey fortunate to be staying so close to the border during this crisis!
It's amazing the turn of events which led us down this path. Very fortunate it turned out this way and we may be able to get Sondra's taste back.
Wow! You guys had quite a week. Feel better Sondra. Extractions are no fun. Good they let you in the RV park because I wouldn't want to go there and straighten them out for messing with my favorite couple. Enjoy your days in Palm Springs. Safe travels. 😂

We do too, Joanne. Such a great energy and feel to the area.
Sorry about the tooth but it worked out well for u to be near the dentist still. Enjoy and see aoon!
Very nice video. I enjoy where ever you 2 venture out to.
Glad you enjoyed it, Cathy. Thank you so very much.
That was quite the wind! And great "American" crocks!
You made crossing look so easy!
Thanks, Andrew. It was pretty simple and I really enjoy my Crocs! The wind didn't last too long but it came in a hurry!
28:26 Sad day when size 😉 matters! Great Vlog!
😎😁Sad indeed...but thanks for watching. 🤣😂We'll try to not accentuate the "size thing".

Hi. We have never seen them. That would be cool to see. Next time. Thanks
Great to see your arrival to PSgs. We love that area. We've been there several times at sky valley, and in Indo area at my brothers house when he had it. Good times. We will enjoy following. Wondering if you can show how you unload the car. So handy to have that lil car.
ua-cam.com/video/tFMgH7NvupY/v-deo.html
This will show how we unload the car about midway.
Stay safe ❤
Sorry to hear that... no fun dealing with insurance. We hope it gets resolved quickly. Thanks for watching the channel. 😁
In Palm Springs go up on that tram , my daughter went up and they loved it
We've done the tram on multiple occasions and it is so cool 😎!
Hi,Guys:
TT isn't going to limit rig length of rv's.
Thanks, Michael. That is super exciting news. I'm looking forward to that day when ALL thousand trails assign sites. Woohoo!
You guys are awesome!
Thanks, Kevin. We enjoy sharing our experiences.
David I love your slippers.
Thank you. I like 'em. They make me feel free! 😆 🤣
Glad everything worked out for you .Hi from Canada
Hi from AZ...hope your weather is not too snowy or cold. Thank you very much. We're very thankful everything worked out as it did, we hope this will help with Sondra's taste as well.
Thanks for sharing 😊😊😊
Thanks for watching!
Get a new silicone coupler for the sewer pipe. It will work on those type of pipes.
Thank you. I'll look into it.
We enjoy your channel
Thank you so very much.
Quick… get to Whataburger!!!!!
I'm trying...but all I see out here are In N Out burgers!
We do have our challenges but for us it's worth it. Riding in the truck is a very different experience... you can see sooo much!
Add an electric lift to the solar panels so you can raise/lower them from the trailer.
We're looking into that! A new design may work for our setup.
didnt i see at the rv show you purchased power solar panel retractors ? or maybe just me thinking something that needs to be made. no more roof climbing at 630am. ha
You did, Scott... but... we are still working on whether they will fit, heightwise. We hope to have a solution soon...maybe.
As always another great video. With so many dentists in Mexico, how do you pick one? Thanks for taking us along for the ride!
I learn so much watching you two. I mean who teaches about the 'sewer whisper'? 😂
😆 🤣 having fun in the 🏜 . Glad you enjoyed it and could learn something new! 😆
The Sewer Whisperer! 🤣😂🤪
😆 🤣 a little fun in the desert!
Really enjoying your adventures! Just wondering if you are members of TT Encore, and what membership you find to be the most useful. If you have a video about this, could you please point me to it, and better yet, a current impression of TT would be great. We have a big rig too, and always find it difficult to find good places.
Yes we are and here's a video. Thanks. ua-cam.com/video/PV1ZF6JmbOI/v-deo.html
Remember that ole saying: A Man Got to Know his Limitations. Especially when going on top of a roof in the wind and other atmospheric issues.
I know...I was very near mine up there! It was blowing! Thanks
I cant wait till i start my rv travel life
It's fun... it can be trying at times... but we enjoy it. Thanks for watching
could you put some sort of lock brackets on the solar panels when they are up
I probably could but part of the design was an easier way to deploy the panels. The struts work great we just have to be aware of the winds... we may make an improvement. Working on it now...
Where did you guys learn to drive that monster? David is really good at arctic ulating that rig into places. Very impressive!!!😂
😆 🤣 We bought it and started driving. No classes but a lot of experience over 8 years. In the beginning, we went to places we were comfortable and kept expanding as we gained more confidence.
You should stop at the Living Desert in Palm Desert sometime. Nice place to Visit.
We enjoy the Living Desert and visit everytime we're in Palm Springs. Thanks for the suggestion, Daryl.
I have heard of horse whisperers but sewer ? the conclusion is they both smell Lol . All that worry of zero site and it was one of the easiest you have done in a while.
😆 🤣 they both REALLY sink! 😆 Good one. Yes, this site was definitely one of the easiest in a long time. Thanks
Another great Video
Glad you enjoyed it, We really appreciate your time watching the channel and are excited to have you along on the journey. Thanks for being a part of the story.
Go to Joshua tree too in twenty nine palms /yucca valley
We're going to try, Kelly. We've been before but it's always worth a visit. Thanks 😄
Great videos, what are the brands of sunglasses you wear with the side lens on them to prevent light from entering on the sides?
One of mine is a pair of Oakleys, a few are Walmart specials and Sondra's are from a guy at the Tampa RV Super Show.
Be careful with continuous sinus infections, it can destroy the bone . Not fun. See you next week.
Thanks, Doug. Sondra has been researching after your comment and will get it treated quickly. Appreciate the heads up.
That's good and very similar to Mexico. Probably closer to $6,000. Very interesting. Thank you.
👍
😎😁
What is the weather system that you use, and do you recommend it. I much prefer having actual weather sensors and my current system needs replacing.
Ours does ok but it does lose signal with the sensor from time to time. I think I'm going to replace it with an Accurite.
can't believe ya'll went to Mexico for dental work
They have good dentists in Los Algodones and great service. We were extremely skeptical 8 years ago when we visited the first time but our experiences have been good so we continue to go back. Appreciate your comments.
Ok got my chesters chicken tenders very good thank u now to find a whatta burger
Whataburgers are a little harder to find but soooo worth it! 🤔😊😁😎
Hi guys 👦,
I recommend you watch the movie sound of freedom 👌 👍.
Its a true story.
Love ❤️ it.
Pete.
Thanks, Peter. We've seen it. Great movie. Sad subject but a great story.
@@bigtruckbigtravels makes you think 🤔 about rv ing in Columbia.
We really enjoy your videos. You do such a wonderful job. Which dentist do you use in Mexico.
Simply Dental. Dr Dora Dominguez
😂😂😂sewer whisperer 😂😂😂lol
😉🤣😂😆😎
I wouldn't have guessed medical services of any kind in mexico would be at that level. Have you compared costs to services in the US?
Lots of dental services down there which are at least 50%-70% less expensive than the US. Most of the larger offices have the same technology that the US doctors do and their service is very good. We've had a great experience with it.
Its been burning in my mind. How did you get named after a beach in Hawaii?
Great question, Joseph. The Kahanamoku family is very famous in Hawaii, mostly due to Duke Kahanamoku's success as a swimmer and surfer. After winning gold, silver and bronze medals in 5 different Olympics, helping to popularize and introduce surfing to Australia and being the Ambassador in Hawaii once it became a state he also served as Sheriff for Honolulu for many years. He has a statue in Australia and on Waikiki Beach so having a beach and pond named after the family was a natural progression, I guess. Thanks for watching.
Thank you for the detailed explanation and a bit of history. I never pictured you as Hawain or Samoan. Quite the cool name.@@bigtruckbigtravels
Hope you get your sinus problem solved good luck and safe travels enjoy your stay in California 🌞
We do too, Joyce. Thank you for watching the channel. We're excited to be able to share our experiences with everyone and to give back to the RV community.
You touching all of that sewer stuff without gloves gives me anxiety 😂
All that was BEFORE I released our "stuff" into the bowels of the utility system! And I wash thoroughly afterwards!
How did you find your Dentist in Mexico? Once we retire in a year, I'd like to find one there too.
Reviews, talking to different people and walking in to talk with the dentists. It's daunting because there are soooo many down there. We like Simply Dental.
@@bigtruckbigtravels thank you!
Love to visit the state....but wouldn't want to live there. Too expensive but beautiful. Thanks
Mickey and Minnie need to be replaced they are looking a little faded ...lol
😆 they are showing the "stress" of RV travel and being our Ambassadors in the truck to greet people as they walk by. Thanks 😄
So, did you buy a Thousand Trails membership?
Dennis
We did when we first started 9 years ago. It was a pre-owned pass through Campground Membership Outlet in Florida. They were great.
Does Orion have a D16 or D13 Volvo?
Voyager is a 2016 with a D13 engine and 500hp, 1700 ft lbs torque.
Sondra, may I ask why you only have polished the nail of your ring finger? I’ve noticed it in a few episode. 😉 Or did it get smashed?
😆 not smashed. Sondra and one of our granddaughters had a mani/pedi session... that's as far as the "mani" portion of the session got before she moved on to other activities. Sondra has kept it for sentimental reasons thus far in 2024. Great question! Thanks for watching.
@@bigtruckbigtravels what a great grammie!!
Torrential downpour -> trip delay -> broken tooth -> discovery of clogged sinuses. WOW! God works in mysterious ways.
A series of unfortunate events may lead to taste and smell. You just never know what is in store for you.
Each is different and built to each owners design. Ours is 13'5" on the trailer and 13'2" on the tractor.
@@bigtruckbigtravels thank you.
Gloves!!!!
😆 I know... hard to work the camera in gloves. Thanks
Had you driven a big rig before RVing?Dennis
No. We have done it all through on the road experience. Careful experience. 🤣
If you don’t mind me asking what the cost is going to be for the implant?
It will be about $1,500 when it's all said and done. May be a little less but Sondra is a "special case". 😆 🤣
🙋♀️🙋♂️...👍👍...J&A2ofus
Thanks, J&A. Hope you're doing well. Safe travels
Why do you put 91 octane in Pathfinder and not either Plus or Regular?
Since Pathfinder has a small engine, Smart recommends putting high octane (over 91) in it. We've used lower octane and the fuel mpg/power are reduced slightly. We just always fill it up with "the good stuff". Better on the engine and it's only about 6 gallons usually! 😂😎
Is David related to the Duke?
Yes, Duke Kahanamoku is my uncle.
@@bigtruckbigtravels that's really cool. 🤙🏻
Now that you are in CA you can eat at a good restaurant, you know....In and Out. Much better then Whataburger, lol.
😆 we're looking forward to some good food...maybe even an In-N-Out!
DID David really say "kahanamoku?"
Yes... that's my name! I grew up in Hawaii. Duke is my uncle, my father was his next oldest brother.
RIDICULOUS SET UP.
Thank you. We love the ability to change our backyard with the seasons and are very fortunate to be able to be comfortable while camping. Appreciate your time watching the channel.
