I recently rewatched the Hades City/Spiral Force arc that comes at the end of Metal Masters. Man, the episodes "The Miraculous Spiral Force" (especially the last five minutes with the battles in the city) and "Charge! Hades City" were so damn action-packed, seeing all the crazy battles happening and many characters all teaming up and having the same objective. And continuing on that, "The Fallen Emperor" is still one of my favorite episodes of the series, mainly because of how side characters get the spotlight in it. The battle between Julian and Dashan is still one of the best because it showed how differently each of them handled their losses against Gingka. A man who didn't let defeat bring him down against a man who lost everything, it was amazing and sad at the same time. And there's *still* a lot of other cool stuff to talk about!
The Metal series was my first introduction into the Beyblade series that i watched and it is hands DOWN my favourite. I've never seen the OG series (blasphemy i know) i don't mind Beyblade Burst series but i think Beyblade peaked with the Metal series and the Metal series will always be my personal favourite and it will always hold a special place in my heart. Kyoya was still is and always will be my favourite character, i can't quite explain why he's just awesome! I love his design and personality his little fang tooth thing his hair and his Bey and everything i just love him to death he is so cool! If i had to pick my top 3 they would be 1. Kyoya 2. Ryuga 3. Gingka those are my top 3 and if i had to pick a sneaky number 4 i would choose Kenta. Yu is also really cute and so wholesome i must defend him with my life at all costs no matter what! I've never seen the OG series (again blasphemy i know!) but i have heard the theme song for it, and honestly it absolutely SLAPS! Now i really like the Metal series intro i think that's number 1 but number 2 arguably a contender for number 1 is hands down the OG theme song, like i cannot stress how much i like the intro. I swear they don't make intros like those anymore these days, the Burst intros are alright but i feel they don't have the same hype as the OG series and the Metal series intros if that makes sense? The power scaling for Beyblades is absolutely wildly insane as well, i never would've thought these things meant for children can have faster than light travel and have universal attack potency, like kids are just playing with these things that are SO powerful they have FTL movement and universal attack potency it's just actually lowkey kinda wild fam! With the wave of praise and such that Beyblades gotten over the last few days i wouldn't be surprised if people try power scaling the Beyblades characters with other anime characters such as Goku or One Punch Man or even iconic comic book characters like Spider-Man or SuperMan etc! Overall Beyblades is awesome and i'm glad it's getting the love it deserves! Seeing it all unfold has lowkey made me want to start collecting Beyblades like actually! I severely apologise for this absolute MEGA wall of incoherent Beyblade love text nonsense, i just really like the Beyblade anime.
So sad to see you're missing out on the best beyblade series. Removing the nostalgia metal saga is so much worse than I remember it being as a kid. After multiple rewatches of every season I have to put metal as the worst in terms of story compared to the other two published. Metal Fury was so poorly written and the horrible plot of saving the world ruined the franchise for years, metal masters(s2) is the only season worthwhile and basically saved the series after the disappointment of metal fusion. And it was all ruined in the third season. Burst really changed the ideology and power scaling, but the biggest change in burst compared to metal is how the characters are written. The first season of burst is not well spaced out, with too many battles for 52 episodes, However the character development is so much better and planned. Burst Evolution(s2) takes the series to the next level in terms of the plot, the growth, and the battles. Evolution is the closest thing to perfection since G rev. (ignoring the fact that burst s3 was ruined everything). Beyblade >Burst > Metal. However as the individual seasons are considered. 1. G revolution (s3) 2. Burst Evolution/ God (s2) 3. Metal Masters (s2)
