Thank you for this video because I’m not the only one constantly changing my handbag collection. I’ve learned a lot about what I like and what I don’t. I’ve taken losses trying to curate my collection but very selective and picky about my purchases moving forward. Great video and thanks for the transparency of being an handbag lover! ❤😊
I felt it was needed. So many times we act like it's wrong to sell. Nothing wrong with that, it's a journey and there's lots of learning on the way. I'm also now selective because I've learnt what I need in my collection now 💛
Like you, I enjoy the feeling that someone else will enjoy the bag more than me 😊 so that slightly compensates for the ‘loss’ I make selling a bag. Great video! Xx

What helps me when deciding on whether or not to buy a bag is if I can see it staying in my collection long term or if it’s just a fun or trendy bag. I also tend to use some of my bags for long periods of time and than I rotate to another, this helps me get excited moving into a new bag and if I don’t feel excited then I know it’s time to move on from the bag.
You will never get back anywhere close to what you pay for a bag and for me it’s just a hassle to try to sell them and because I know that it helps with making a decision to buy.

I won't say you will never get back close to what you paid for it as there are some bags that appreciate in value significantly or are rare or hard to find that can be priced well enough which will then allow one to get back for they paid for it. In such situations, personal sales via Facebook groups are the best since the seller will not pay fees to any 3rd party and can then keep all the money putting what they spent on it back in their pocket 💛

Great video! I also once had a Parker and sold it for the same reason as you. Quick question - you said earlier in the video that chain straps are not for you because they hurt your shoulder. But then later on you said you’re considering buying a tote that has chain straps. Aren’t you concerned that you’ll have the same problem with them hurting your shoulder? Just curious. Thanks for sharing your selling experiences with us! 😊
Hi. I have no intention of carrying that tote on my shoulder. I am not a tote person, but they have a place in my collection because of functionality. I currently have 3 large size totes that I use for very specific needs.
The TB one I want will be because I want a black tote, and neither of my other 3 are black. So far, that's the prettiest lightweight tote I've found that I like. Again, I won't be carrying it primarily on my shoulder. It will be handheld mostly. It's either that or a black Longchamp which will be for travel only. If I buy the TB, it will not be for travel, but things like my sons soccer practice or shopping at the mall.
Other shoulder/crossbody chain strap bags I've had, had too long of a chain where it was impractical to carry them top handle, or they just didn't look good carried that way. I do still have 2 shoulder bags with chain straps that I love the look of so much, I will never get rid of them 💛
Thanks for the speedy reply! I don’t carry shoulder or crossbody bags due to neck/shoulder issues but haven’t considered buying a tote just for arm/hand carry. Definitely something for me to consider and it would give me more bag options for sure! Thanks for the new perspective!
