Haha, I recently shaved my beard really short. Not completely, but really short, like a 2-week, scientists kind of beard. I did not like it.

so funny, that you changed from Sony to fuji in order to get autofocus. Sony gets by far the best autofocus, the older Fujis are by far the worst. I changed from canon to fuji, because it enables the best manual focus tools (.with the magnifying pic besides the image, I hardly miss the focus) great content btw

I love shooting in a b/w simulation on the Fuji and use the focus peaking which does slow me down a great deal which is never really a bad thing for me. Thank you for the video. Just found your channel.

I'm very big into b&w as well.
But the video is with autofocus :D, on the other hand.
The ZV-1 image looks great!
It is, because I'm a one-man crew so I can't do it otherwise. Furthermore, I treat video as utilitarian as I can, I only need it for my UA-cam, because otherwise I'm very much a stills photographer and it's there where I practice my purism.
And yeah, I'm quite impressed at how good the ZV-1 image is. I love that tiny camera more and more every day.

360p gang! On a serious note... I just recently started shooting street, using vintage glass. As someone who's come from using all of the latest high tech AF and all that... manual focus has been quite the adjustment. It's been good though! I like being able to 100% control where I want the focus to be in an image.
I have a couple vintage canon lenses from an AE-1 and the colors are beautiful on a simple adapter on my sony ZV10 and A74. Yes, nailing the focus on them is tough, especially stopped down to a 1.4 the margin is razor thin, but overall love the colors coming off the vintage glass.
Your journey seems my journey. Whereas I now buy a modern 50mm auto focus to please my loved ones. Most good shots are in the situation, in the right moment. But sometimes (right light, right composition) I take time and asks my people to freeze which they hate apparently.
I very much agree with your point about the activity or the practice of photography being something like half of what it’s all about, with the other half being the images.
Someone asked me recently why spend all the money on an expensive SLR style camera when my iPhone shoots such great quality pictures, and there is a simple answer; I enjoy the act of using the camera.

From minute 10 onward you speak like a true Pentaxian. Their entire philosophy is about the experience of taking pictures. I own a Pentax K3 mark 3 and I love it. Optical viewfinder and all the manual lenses from the past. It's been great so far. Recommend it! I hunt on the streets of Budapest at night. Cheers!
I know what you mean. Pentax holds a special place in my heart. I love the fact that they are doing their own thing, no matter what. In a parallel world where I have a bit more money I own a Pentax K3 Monochrome.
