I live in a one-bedroom apartment with little space. I had my landlord remove the coffee table so I could carve out enough space for my mat. I have my mat facing a portrait of my favourite place where my mom grew up, and where I felt unconditionally loved and accepted growing up. It's a small Newfoundland outport scene and I just love it! Sometimes I do face the window, but I prefer focusing on that picture.
How difficult is for someome to start joya and what are the necessities that need to be considered , i mean the cost to participate in a group or the equipment... Love you ❣️
Good questions! Ok I would say that all you really need is the desire to start. Once you have that, try classes in the yoga studios near you and this process should help you find the studio, the teacher and the type of yoga that click for you. Costs vary and so you will have to ask your local studio. However, most tend to have a free first taster class so check that out. Regarding equipment, the only thing you really need is a yoga mat. You can find cheap ones for 20 USD all the way up to 180 USD. Most studios have yoga mats for their students so if you do go to a studio, you can use theirs till you decide to commit. I hope that helped!
I just started light yoga for a year now and i want to be more consistent with it. Unfortunately, after moving into my dorm, the tiles are somewhat more slippery and my mat moves more than it used to. I wipe down my mat and mop my floor after every practice, but my mat still slips and slides. What should i do?
Interesting question! I'm wondering if a carpet underlay may help? I know I bought one for a rug I have that moved around on my floor but it mat also work for a yoga mat: www.ikea.com/gb/en/cat/anti-slip-underlays-10699/
