      You are so right, when I put him first I don't I feel so scattered! He was speaking to me about putting him first in the day at the beginning of this year. No matter how anxious I felt about working I need to take time in the word and prayer!

    Inspiring! As a retiree I have given myself permission to go with the flow... which is good. But, I know that having some semblance of a routine, will help me be more productive. I design and sew hats and I have an Etsy shop. Truth is I operate my business as more of a hobby. But, while I don't want to feel pressured, I do want to be more productive. So, your video has helped in motivating me. Do you know if Skill Share has a course on pattern making for hats? Thanks much!

    Spiritual affirmations are exceedingly important and a part of the success as a person personally and how high to hear you pray with your husband so few people think of those things today perhaps I’m wrong about that but I think not especially in young people so much success to you and your family seems like you have a good business model and a good head on your shoulders

    When you have a creative mine, I feel like I have to let my mind and energy drive me. Your usual routine are great and should be our normal. Everything we do has to have a semblance of balance. I 😋 love watching your channel.

    Love this! That Shepard's Pie looks delicious! I'm going to need that recipe :)
    Enjoy the time to yourself before you have little feet running around the house lol! I find myself not having enough time to sew during. the day with two young kids, but I wouldn't change it for anything in the World! I do all of my sewing at night while they sleep. I should definitely try to go to bed earlier but I enjoy sewing a lot more haha!

      Thank you! I don't have a recipe really, I like to use yukon gold potatoes and with the ground beef, I dice up all kinds of veggies (there were beets thats why it looked magenta) and add lots of spices, garlic and onion Diana Barbecue sauce, tomato sauce and bouillon and it has lots of flavour!
      I am trying to get so much done before I start having children! I know I will enjoy that time immensely too, and my schedule will for sure look way different! I can definitely see myself staying up late to sew while they sleep haha! All the best to you!

    I’m enjoying this sew faster series. I lost my passion for sewing after getting frustrated and was going to give up. I now feel invigorated to go after my dream hobby again. I want to get good!

    I'd love to see your YT routine. This is what I am stuck on to get started myself. Man I have so much footage going back years lol. But I don't have a WEEKLY schedule, let alone when to edit. Once Im in the flow to edit, I think that is all I need. I have a separate channel with my partner on Tiny Houses which we haven't uploaded to since 2018? So I did give myself some experience. I have bought a couple of yt planners to help me but I still have no idea how to get it all done in a week, to upload weekly. I am sure I am over thinking it. I mean, do you finish each project before you edit or do you edit each day as you film? I'd love to know your process from start to finish, as in filming, editing, voice over to uploading. I have a bunch of yt video ideas etc, more about the doing part. I'm asking you as you actually want to show and help people how it can be done. Not sure why this is an issue for me, it could be an emotional or mental hurdle lol

    • @LydiaNaomi
      @LydiaNaomi  2 роки тому +1

      Hey Lisa, I struggle with the process of filming and editing as well. For me it is quite an involved process! I generally film everything beforehand, following a general plan for the video. Then I will do a preliminary edit to cut out footage that I don't want. Then I write a voiceover script to coincide with my roughly edited video. Then as I insert the voiceover I cut my video down further. After this I might film the intro or outro or showcase of my garment and also take pictures. Then I add these missing clips in. After that I add graphics and music, then I watch it 2 more times to verify the audio is smooth and that there are no discrepancies and I export. As I upload I usually work on the thumbnail and then I schedule my video to post it. its about a 3 day process. This productivity video was much easier as it was just setting up a camera throughout my day then adding a short voiceover after, but my other tutorial videos are much more involved. I hope that helps!

    I can see why you feel your work/home life run into 1, your day continually goes from home life/ work vise versa.. if I were you after your walk and stuff,eat your breakfast as home life and start work life after so your not eating and reading etc or rather home life/work,then if you make lunch every day have a proper lunch break so you can sit away from the office and eat and use any spare time to prep evening meals. Then take a meal break away from the office and if your doing a bit more work on a evening after then that's its back to work schedule and you say you have a cut of point for that.
    It must difficult finding the balance so you don't feel as though your working all day,but I would definitely eat your breakfast away from the office as you would if you worked for a company.

    • @LydiaNaomi
      @LydiaNaomi  2 роки тому +1

      Cool! Yeah sometimes instead of working after dinner I will watch a movie instead or read or just do something else. I leave it up to how much needs to be done and if I am feeling overwhelmed. I also take Sundays off completely and recharge. Saturday's are flexible too but I usually work alot then.

    Yo i loved this video! So many good takeaways. I've always wanted to do a morning walk! Such a great way to start the day and I feel like walking before breakfast is actually so much better as it's easy for me to let the breakfast time drag on and then nix the walk. Thanks for sharing! Also loveeee da boots. Timbs?

    • @LydiaNaomi
      @LydiaNaomi  2 роки тому +1

      Thank you! Yes the walk first thing is so refreshing! I am one of those types who gets lost doing the simplest tasks, so doing it first is so helpful!
      The bots are THRiFTED ;) I know you'd like that! They're Irish setters. THey're super warm but im still breaking them in haha!

      So glad you liked it! I've tried waking up way earlier and basically making a tighter schedule that left no room for failure or getting out of schedule, so I'd just fail and get discouraged and not continue 😅
      I hope you find that happy equilibrium!

    Love your videos. You give me courage to create patterns from favorites in my current wardrobe. Question: the Sherpa lined velour snuggy you’re wearing in this video. Did you make it? Is there a pattern? Or did you buy it? I love love love it.
