Build an Incredible RC Sukhoi Su-30 MK2 with Foam Board - Easy Step-by-Step Guide!

- This RC model is big but fly like a trainer, the wingspan of this Sukhoi Su-30 is 1060 mm or about 41.7 inch with the weight of 1200 gram or 2.6 lbs. Su-30 is very similar in shape with Su-27 and also Su-35, so with this plans you can make all of them. This a second design of the plane type, but this new model is different from the old one, this is bigger and also easier to build. I just use elevon for control surfaces and only 2 servos needed. The motor is also pretty small, I use Racestar 2212 1400kv brushless motor with 9 inch prop and 50A ESC, with that spec you can use 40A ESC with 3S 2200mah Lipo battery. The control is very easy, very tight turn radius. I think this model can also be equipped with 2x 64mm or 70mm EDF.

You must be proud of your unique work, being the "one off", a world reference in this field. But, but, please show people that they must round the leading edge of wings , turbo intakes, ruder and elevators, this improve speed, better control in stall and turns out nicer in the table

curving? bend the foam? cover the outer side with packing tape first then you can freely bending it without breaking.

Thanks Juluis, I downloaded the plans and I have it done, and I modified the internal mechanism a little to attach my electronics made up of a 70mm EDF. 80amp ESC, to power it with an S6 I hope it works, in fact it is a beautiful model.

Saya pernah bina f15 besar sikit dari ini.. Sayap saya guna kepingan balsa nipis utk membentuk airfoil.. Body saya guna foam.. Guna motor di belakang seperti ini.. 4s 2200mah

I'm building a foam mig 29 jet the wingspan is 81mm and the all in weight is 31.1 oz I'm using a 2200 mah 11.1v 3s battery the motor is a A2212/6T 2200kv
The prop is 6x4 the esc is 50A.
My question is do you think this will work or do I need to change something

Julius, it is exceptional what you do with planning, designing, crafting, finising and flying your aircraft. This particular build is very close to my heart as I love the Su Flanker. The jet flies so gracefully. I`m sorry to see it punch a hole through the ground, but you got her up again. Great stuff man.
