- "Irish Luck" is anAmerican film directed by Howard Bretherton. The film is also known as "Amateur Detective" in the United Kingdom. Buzzy O'Brien is a bellhop in a hotel where a guest is murdered. The police blame Kitty Monahan and Buzzy succeeds in helping her escape and hides her at his home with his mother. Buzzy and his pal Jefferson manage to fumble their way to finding the real killer who was after the stolen bonds carried by the victim. Based on Charles Molyneaux Brown's story "Death Hops the Bells."

Yes, countless it seems, and yay-goody, Mr. Frankie OWNS the music/dance (including Moonwalk) gifted black comedian in every installment. ;o) No other movie of this era came close to daring such an abomination, but if these were a test to see how awful they could get away with being, they got away with it in spades. I'm not black, I am not a libtard but also not a conservatard, I admit, though I do cringe miserably at the stupidity of OUR culture, no one else's, just OURS, for clinging to the so-amusing term "tard" (screw those idiots fool enough to have retarded children!) and for coming up with it (finger-snap) decades ago. Everybody who finds this a perfect "team," Mr. Frankie bluffing his lying way to success (try it, kids!) in every ep., having a beautiful girlfriend most of the time, can take this idea and, oh let's see, what would Honey Boo Boo say? What would kardashianists say? Gross Housewives of Merka? Ice Road Truckers, Phil Robinson with beard (not without, he's just not as smart without beard)? Anything American, trashy and dumb, what would it be, how about "Shove it?" LOL. That's about as high as the intellect of fans of Mr. Frankie OWNING a willfully stupid black man post-Civil War can be understood by you locals. Let me know if you spot "Jeff" forgetting to call any of the white men and youths and their kids "Mr First Name," this is the only series of its genre that goes that far, or is that sickening, and we want what we paid for, even if it was free, right fans?

Augusta147, They made too many together to count. Mantan Morland later appeared in the late 50's and early 60's as Jack Benny's ballet on the Jack Benny show. I thought the police captain Purcell in this movie was Jack Benny. It look like him and sounded like him.
