Large model railway layout in HO scale about the Black Forest Region in Germany

In Germany, the Black Forest is a large forested mountain range bounded by the Rhine valley to the west and south. And, there is also the largest European model train layout based on this landscape. The model railroad layout is a replica in 1/87 scale. On 400 square meter, more than 40 model trains are driving through a wonderfully detailed landscape. There are 1,300 meter of railway tracks in HO scale.

Truly excellent video, no music, clear filming, I'm glad I found your channel! I was looking at the track work of this layout, it looks like Roco sectional track with plastic ballast with additional ballast inserted around it, very interesting and easy idea. Maybe I'm wrong though.

Most excellent model and filming. Three things would improve the appearance and realism: lighting more from the front, weathering of track & trains and slowing the trains down. Otherwise perfect.

The layout seems to be lit from the back rather than the front making it harder to see the trains as the facing side is then in shadow. The human eye in the building might be able to compensate for that but it must make the cameraman's job hard. That said it is a great layout.
