Let’s get Bunny to 30k she deserves it. Everyone like the video.
I agree and I always check to see how many she has every time she shows a new video. Come on everyone, she has some very interesting videos, I was a history major in college, concentrating on American history. I have learned so much of our history from Bunny, her videos are so interesting.
I always enjoy watching the history you talk about. I don’t really care about the videos talking about life on the road because I already live on the road for my job so when I get to see these kind of videos, I definitely watch.
I know you mentioned before that you didn’t think these kind of videos would be as popular, but I don’t know why this is so interesting. I never knew this about covered bridges. More people should watch what you do because I feel like I’ve learned so much since starting to watch your channel maybe people are just lazy and don’t wanna learn.
I’m just happy that I can share things like this and that people like yourself find and watch the video! I think that this world that we live in is absolutely fascinating and the more that we learn and grow the more that that we can all understand our surroundings better
Ohio west of Cleveland is a trail of approximately 20 drivable covered bridges. Beautiful.
Loving the bright yellow sunglasses!
I just love covered bridges....so nostalgic. Loving all this History and seeing places I might not ever get to see. Have a wonderful day!
Thank you so much for watching and I’m glad that I could share this with you. It is something that I truly find spectacular to see and so being able to explain some of the history behind it. I hope it’s helpful to others who might run into one of these along their travels.
Congratulations on a VERY interesting and well structured video! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 From the history to the photography, the narration, and the little subtle details (like the flowers), made us feel THERE. Thanks for this video 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Good one again. Love covered bridges and the
History. Thank you.
Whenever you get to Iowa check out the Bridges of Madison County. There are six remaining bridges. I love how you bring history lessons into your adventures. It doubles the fun!
I would absolutely love to do that! I know that there are several in Oregon. Also, they are very beautiful and I visited one on my very first trip up that way and learned that they have a covered bridge trail.
So much history! This is like a travel documentary!
Hi Bunny. Awesome history & vid! I live in NE Ohio, Ashtabula County. We have 19 covered bridges including the longest & shortest in the US. I still marvel at the structures & their endurance. Be well & Thank you.
Ooo, the Union Covered Bridge is super close to where my Great - Great Grandfather and his family lived in Monroe County in the 1800's! They lived there from the late 1820's-1905ish. Paris, Holliday, Madison, Moberly... I'd love to go back there again and visit the area... It's been 25 years since I got to drive through that area! Thank you for sharing this, Bunny! LOVE it!
That makes me so happy that I was able to share this with you! Very cool story about your great great grandfather and his family!!!
I love love love old bridges. Where i went to Head-start there is a covered bridge named Harrisburg. It was also the name of the School. My triplets also went there.
Wow. I didn't know that's why they made covered bridges 👍
It makes me so happy that I could share this so that you could learn with us! That’s the best thing about what I do I get to share amazing stories of really cool things and then we all get to get brain wrinkles together
There is a covered bridge down a side rd in Gay Georgia, heard about it while camping at Joe Kurtz WMA. Be sure to stop at the ranger station about 1/4 mile before the camp ground. Or pay a $106 fine for not getting a permit.
Another good one Bunny, I really enjoy the information- Thanks 👍
I truly enjoy sharing places like this and so it makes me so happy when people resonate with them! I have so many interesting places that I will be sharing over the next couple of months so I hope that everyone enjoys the ride of fun brain wrinkles
Bunny, thanks for sharing this information. I love covered bridges and always stopped to take pictures, but I find very few.
I wish I could do covered bridges all across America, but I never think to search them out. I also wanted to do barns across America and I have done some of them, I mean old ones.
What I have done the most of is churches across America. And I don’t mean just any church or big new churches. I do mostly old white churches. Someday I will filter through and take them out and make a video.
You’re so good at doing this type of video. I admire your skills.
That's a great idea. I had never thought to look for covered bridges before. Thanks!
I found covered bridge history when I was in the PNW and loved it so much that when I saw Missouri had a few I was like WOW I have to see what they are like here!!!
So cool the only ones that I have seen was in Iowa and we saw 4.
fun to go there on hot day and play in the creek
I was just at a covered bridge this morning in Clare, Mi @ Deerfield Park
Cool!!!!
I always assumed that they built covered bridges in snow country to protect them from massive amounts of snow, especially heavy wet snow that might damage the bridge, and ice. Our last snowstorm this year in Maine was like that and the roof over my little backdoor porch was pulled slightly away from the house by the weight of the snow. I’m going to have to hire someone to fix it.
Have you read anything about why they built covered bridges? I can’t believe our hard headed practical ancestors built them because they’re beautiful and charming.
There were a couple of reasons that were explained one being protection of the materials, the other being to reduce ice during the winter months to provide some form of shelter to get out of the elements during rain
You need to head to Winterset. Iowa. Home of John Wayne. This is where the Bridges of Madison County are. I visited then all - there is more than four in just one Iowa county.
That was one of the things that was on my list for sure, but since I didn’t make it up to Iowa, I’m going to continue to have it on my list for next time because I definitely want to check that out
Bunny we need to meet up. I would love traveling with you. If you get up to the Northeast hit me up.
