I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Wendy Bagwell at his furniture store in Georgia. I had listened to him since I was young. He was such a hilarious person!
I used to hear him, particularly this classic and "Ol' Ralph Bennett's Volkswagen" on "The Road Gang" on WWL out of New Orleans. I miss the days when AM radio was worth listening to.
Great Story I've listened to it over and over. Every time he recorded it he told it a little different. I like the line about where's the door, Geraldine says, "I already looked and there ain't one. Reckon, where do they want one?"
