  • Here's another flashlight from Convoy collection!
    It uses Luminus SFT40, 6500K, under a SMO reflector and it is mostly a small thrower. You can find it in other host colours and with other LEDs.
    The S21E has a versatile User Interface with ramping , stepped modes, shortcuts to Moonlight, Turbo and Strobe, with e-lockout, momentary ON (Turbo) and even battery check. It takes protected and unprotected 21700 batteries and can also take 18650s, if you use an adapter.
    It is a versatile flashlight both for EDC purpose (if you use large pants or if you carry it on a holster) and despite not having high CRI, the beam is quite useful and reaches a considerable "long" range due to the SFT40 LED.
    The flashlight was sent for review by flashlightbrand.com (non-affiliate), to whom I thank:

      @PardonMyEnglish Thank you !
      Soon I will relase the beamshots video. Don't forget to check what it does in an outdoor nocturnal environment ;)

    Without a protected cell, is voltage sag going to harm a cell? Using turbo when the cell is low? Or using turbo soon after long usage on high mode where the voltage sag might be already happening?

    hello!
    does this flashlight get very hot when charging for you? mine gets very hot to the touch, and I use a 2amp smartphone charger, and a EVE INR21700-50E cell inside. Is it normal?

      Honestly, I normally charge the batteries in a separate charger, not using the flashlight for that purpose. I can test that, though, and then I can inform you about mine's behaviour!

    The UI is very bad. 10 Klicks for lock . Not intuitive. You should have the manual in your pocket if you want to use this light. I love the convoy S2+ SST40. I don't buy such a klicking orgie lamp.

      @nighthawkflyer Thanks for your comment! I on the one side I do agree with you that 10 clicks for lock may be too much, one can still lock the light physically by slightly twisting the head or the tail, preventing it from turning ON. I also state and agree that the UI is not perfect and is not for everyone, specially if the person wants a simple UI.
      But, still, the UI on this light is versatile and allows different configurations, which is something we don't get from many major brands. 🔦

      Exactly. It's also annoying that you need to double click again to exit turbo. Lol.

      I have this torch. It's 4 clicks for lockout and you still have momentary turbo when it's locked out.
      This torch takes both the regular sized 21700 batteries and the slightly longer ones which not all torches can.
      It's also very compact and built like a tank. For those reasons and more, there are plenty of people who use this torch as their EDC light.

      @@mrwan7010 it's a nice little light. Just annoyed with the UI. It's a versatile light. You can attach a tail magnet and the clip can be attached to your cap. My only problem is it needs extra attention when stored. 4 clicks is momentary and will continue to burst turbo as long as the switch is pressed. Dangerous to be left inside a bag since it only takes seconds for it to punch a hole through dark-colored fabric. 🙂🙂🙂
