Been to Japan once, November yung flight namin and talagang research to the max. I booked our ticket ng sale sa cebu pac, 2800 lang, then August pa lang, nagplan and nagplot na ako para macheck of JR Pass is necessary. We ended up not purchasing it. Kasi super mahal, like 14k for unlimited 7 days and as you know, if mag USJ ka, whole day ka na dun. I personally spent, 60k on an 8 day trip, all in. We stayed in hostels na I must say, super ganda (it's my first time), nag bus kamo from Tokyo to Osaka. Ate breakfast on convenience stores, ate lunch na almost meryenda time na sa mga restaurant and dinner sa mga street foods and conbini again. Yung 60k ko includes, RT airfare Manila Tokyo Osaka Manila, 20 kls plus 40 kls na baggage, overnight bus from Tokyo to Osaka, 20k na shopping/pasalubong, 3700 plus na pamasahe sa mga subway/tren, food, USJ, visa fee and Sim Card. Kaya mag Japan basta magplano maigi. Magresearch at magtanong pag kailangan. 😍 booled another flight for October naman this year.❤❤❤
Jennifer Sangalang hi po. We are planning to go to Japan this coming sept and i just saw your comment here. I mean do they have unlimited pass? Ang itinerary ko po is osaka-tokyo- numazu city yung may king crab po then back to osaka for our last day. Btw, 6days po yung travel namin. I hope i can get a reply. Thank you
@@LaseraPhilippines Hi maam! To be honest maam, if 6 days ka lang, I wont suggest na mag Osaka-Tokyo-Numazu-Osaka ka. I wont even suggest na mag Tokyo pa kayo. Save it for another visit, especially na ang ticket nyo po pala is RT MNL KIX. BUT, if your group really want to proceed, I would suggest to check and calculate po if its practical to go back to Osaka para lang bumalik ng Manila. I mean, bus fare po is 2500 one way from Tokyo to Osaka via Willer bus. That is overnight bus po ah, from 11pm to 9am. Yes, you can save sa accomodation pero iba po ang pahinga sa kama, kahit hostel lang yun. Lalo na at 6 days, all day, non stop ka lakad kayo. Mejo summer pa that time so imagine yung pagod mo. Hehehe yung bus po iba ang bayad sa city to city like above, and iba po if within the city lang. Like in Osaka and Kyoto, they both have a pass na unlimited ride na. Sa Tokyo, you have to choose a hotel malapit sa subway station (subway, not train) para makakuha ka nung unlimited subway pass. Super cheap, 500 plus lang for 48 hours, unlimited ride na yun. Almost lahat ng attraction, accesible ng subway except Odaiba (may Gundam Statue). 😊
If you really dont need to use Shinkansen for at least a round trip, I recommend to not buy the JR pass unli 7 day. I bought this pass because from Tokyo I want to visit Osaka and Kyoto, so it's really convenient and efficient plus you can ride the Shinkansen. But, if you are only roaming around Tokyo, get the subway unli pass.
Sobrang informative.
This video is a godsend! My friends and I have been looking for someone (anyone at all) to give us a concise but detailed description and explanation of the proceedings and pragmatic estimations of costs with going to Japan. We still have a lot to plan, but it becomes all the more possible with your tips and guidelines. Watching this was definitely worth all my resources and subscription! You have all my thanks and my friends' gratitude too. :)
Airbnb houses are as expensive as 3 star hotels in Japan and sometimes more expensive in Tokyo. Hotels in neighboring prefectures such as Chiba, Kanagawa and Saitama are much cheaper although they're a bit far from the center. My trip last January for 11 nights and 12 days costed me around 22k php on 3-4 stars hotels. The technique is to wait for promos in Expedia or other booking websites.
SIZ u deserve more subscribers! Very helpful ang videos mo and maayos pa ang enunciation mo ng words. Japan and Korea ang first two countries na gusto kong bisitahin and you were very helpful even sa what's on my bag/travel bag etc. No unnecessary jokes or comments, straight to the point. Good advise about planning to avoid excessive spending. “Travelling” for leisure seems to be just a “dream” for a lot of individuals who imagine costs based on their inexperience and what they see others spending.
I have no plans yet pero I always like watching videos like this. Very informative. Thank you, Ate Thea! Hope to see more travel tips videos such as this one in the future!
Will be travelling to Japan this November (In Shaa Allaah). I bumped into your vlog and found it very informative. Thank you for sharing your experiences! Looking forward to going there with your tips in mind! *God Bless!*
I've been to Japan for five times and I usually budget JPY10,000/PhP5000 per day for food, shopping and miscellaneous expenses excluding flights and accommodation which I pay prior to the travel. Don't forget the travel insurance. For shopping and nightlife bars, I super recommend Shimokitazawa near Shibuya.
Grabe wala pa man din kaming plano or nasisimulan pero sulit yung panonood ko ng vlog na ‘to. I even shared it to my friends na makakasama ko para magkaroon kame mg idea. Thank you for this Ms. Thea! We surely gonna follow yung mga tips and advises mo from this experience.
Ito na poooooo! Shucks from almost 1hr down to 16min ♥️♥️ Enjoy japan!! Edit: if you’re going to Tokyo, Haneda Airport is a much better option!
One of my dreams pa naman ang makapunta dito. I'll try to save a lot of money para makapunta dito. Thank you, Ms. Thea. This is very helpful.
My budget whenever i go is 50-60k for 8 days that includes flight, bullet trains, and attractions. She is very relevant and i just want to add more info. Holidays and weekend prices vary with weekdays. So have your activities on weekdays. For a beginner, i suggest seeing osaka and tokyo for 8 days para you have general idea of japan and enjoy the major attractions at 50-60k. Then on your next trip your travel becomes lesser expensive as you pick a place you want to explore further plus you can see other areas. Because accommodation is not cheap. This is especially for travelers who doesnt have so much expertise with train rides and navigations being first time travelers. There are plenty of hotels in namba and ginza that are lesser than airbnb with good amenities if there are only one or 2 of you but airbnb is great for groups/ or you stay longer than 4 days in one area. I got to see till sapporo. There is one more way to get unlimited transpo aside from the subway week pass. More trips for you Thea, keep vlogging.
50 to 60k are not enough if you decide in europe it cost million pesos were airfare hotel rent are to much expensive but in japan 50k to 60k is good enough
Went to osaka last month for 5 days. I only spent around 30k. Nasa 40k kasama airfare and visa. Sa transpo naman, we purchased osaka amazing pass for 2 days. Sobrang sulit. Mejo mahal when it comes to food. Hehehe. All in all, I think it depends on what type of a traveler you are.
@@genevieveritenour budget trip po kasi yun. Di na kami pumili ng mahal na hotel since most of our time eh nasa galaan kami.
I wil be in Tokyo next month and this trip is super biglaan. Like I applied for lottery sa isang concert na gagawin sa Japan, and last Feb 22 lang na-release ung results. And I won! So immediately filed for Visa, Feb 27.. March 1 agad na-release and approved 😊 Although sabi mo nga, down side nito is SUPER MAHAL NG AIRFARE & HOTEL. But I had no choice, push kasi gusto ko rin naman makapunta ng Japan.
I went to Osaka, Kyoto, Yokota and Tokyo to a total of less than 50k pesos for an eight day tour including the lodging, rented pocket wifi and transportations.
Hey guys.... I don't need to give a complete itenerary but I can tell you this. There are quite a few ways to save you money on the trip to Japan. For lodging I used the capsule similar to what they have at the NAIA T3 only nicer, cleaner and well organized. I bought a package deal JAPANESE RAIL ticket that was good for using the trains and buses. I ate at the market and bought BENTO food and drinks. I hope the couple of these pointers will help you a bit on your trip to Japan. You should make all your flight and lodging reservations. In short do not use a third party.
Omgg i like your voice atee!!nung first time ko napanood to dahil pupunta ako ng japan nakakuha talaga ako ng mga tips.dahil medjo maliit lng na pera dadalhin ko at ngayon alam kona kong ano ang gagawin ko salamat atee!!new subscriber heree
Thank you so much for this very informative and helpful video. Sulit ang 20 mins spent watching this. Very helpful and straightforward. Subscribed na hehe
This is definitely a budget for people doing tourist like things 😩 I would NEVER waste a trip to japan on an amusement park. Just sight seeing, walking, maybe one luxury purchase, eating and I’m gone.
Spent 48k for 9 days in 8 cities (Manila-Nagoya-Gifu-Tokyo-MtFuji-Osaka-Kyoto-Nara-Fukuoka-Manila) *roundtrip ticket is only 1,800 via CebuPacific Spent per day in Japan is estimated at 10k so for 9 days show money is 90k Highly recommended to book on hostel instead of hotel/ Airbnb
Visa application is very tricky. Hindi mo rin masabi. I only got 70K sa bank ( Tokyo travel for 9 days), pero I've already got a Korean visa stamped in my passport, tapos stable job ko (been employed for more than 5 years). We really need to prove the Japanese embassy na kaya mo mag-finance sa travel mo at may babalikan ka sa Pinas 😊
Yep if you can get Haneda much much better. But some budget airlines only land in Narita so since this is a budget video then yes I would rather land at Narita and save on airfare than Haneda. Afterall the train commute from Narita vs Haneda won't make up the price difference on riding a budget airline vs a full service...
I worked and lived in Japan for 15 years. This country is one of those in the world where locals are very polite. Culture and tradition is adaptable. It is true that the standard of living in Japan is not within the reach of a standard traveler. If you want to enjoy your trip at once, you have to have at lease a 100 thousand pesos in your pocket otherwise you will just regret coming over.
As first time traveller, I wanted to understand the process or the important things you need to do when you are at the airport PH and abroad. We’ve been in Japan but during the whole airport process I was just following instruction from my cousin and was not really able to ask questions. Plus, from work I went straight to the airport. Hope to hear from you! Thank you.
Grabe sis ang gaming mo detailed talaga ok lang may binabasa ka guide mo in..thank u for the info..keep it up sis..mukha kang Japanese I thought Japanese ka..
3x kami nag harry potter world, same day w/o express pass kasi super fan talaga ako. We went on a Wednesday. 1st time - 8:30am (30mins queue) 2nd time - 6pm (40-50mins queue) 3rd time - 9pm (no queue)
I'm here because im excited to Go back to japan for vacation after the virus is gone :>> I saved my money because my parents tell us save money on my own my sister gaves me 20k though Now i gut my budget 50 k but i think it's not that much because in tokyo there's to much attraction and can't hold my self to buy some stuff i only learn some Japanese words watching anime though haha.... Gotta save more money while quarantine tho :>>
omg same, 😭 supposed to go sa japan this 2021, after the virus is gone. I’m also saving up for the trip.. this year I saved up for almost 100k because I know that I can’t stop myself from hoarding diff. japanese souvenirs. Hopefully, we can travel again soon 🥰
I came from Japan wayback 2006-2007 superb duper ganda at ang linis..I was 17 years old at that time..But now I have a daughter.I want to visit again in Japan with my daughter on her bday soon..How I wish that want to bring it her and explore the beauty and the culture of Japan..⛩️🇯🇵🎌

I’m in year 8 and I’m planning to go to Japan In year 11 with two of my friends and I’m thinking of putting half of every pay check towards it, do you think I’ll have enough by year 11?
I was literally trying to understand the other language you were speaking (thinking I was hearing wrong) for a good 20 seconds before my brain kicked XD
yeah filipinos usually mix english and tagalog together cause it's much more easier since we don't know the filipino word of a certain thing so we prefer to mix the two language together. hope yah understand what i just said lol

Mine is 25k only for my show money (5 days only) 150k is too much for a one week trip.as long as your docs are complete your ok. Government employee here
I applied at Reli Tours in Makati, I submitted my docs by Monday and got a call to pick up my passport on Thursday. A lot travelers are scared to try because of this 150k show money which mostly I read and heard from most of the bloggers. I just travelled last November of 2018 FYI. Food is expensive in Japan but with my 20k I still managed to buy Coach bag and a cute necklace😊 I just roamed around the City in Fukuoka and visits some museums. Hostel and RT are booked ahead of time and during peso fare. Thanks anyway for this very detailed vlog
Hi Eva! Thank you for sharing your experience! 😊 Hopefully the info you provided can help out some of the viewers. 🧡 My friend’s mom works for the embassy and that’s what she told me - safe amount ang above 100k. But of course may iba’t ibang aspects yung inaassess. Ang kailangan lang naman maprove is you can finance your stay in Japan and hindi mag TNT. I’m sure it helped that you’re a government employee since stable ang work. They’re more strict daw pag yung employment is a smaller company/start up/SMEs. In which case, kailangan makabawi sa other aspect such as show money. Anyway the show money should support your itinerary provided. If you’re planning to do more and stay in the more pricey areas of japan, your bank statement should be able to show your financial capacity 😊
Hi miss Eva! Is it really true? 25k show money is okay? If it is true then i will really go to Osaka to meet my GF there. She already visited me in Cebu 2nd week of December 2018. So now it is my turn to go there in Osaka. She is waiting for me there. That's why i am so worried about the 150k show money.
Thea I agree it depends on someone's itinerary and employment status. Dami ko kasi nabasa na blogs ganun kaya I just tried a 25k as a show money, an experiment Lang to see if Ma grant Visa ko anyways 3k RT ticket ko kaya no hurt feelings if madeny. I just visited museums with free entrance and park. This is in Fukuoka.
25k of pocket money might be little risky kasi my friend was denied with that same amount in her bank account. Maybe it depends on your salary din and if you apply during off/peak seasons
Just sharing lang baka kasi may curious din kung meron ibang options 🤗 Btw, thanks sa infos..we’ve been planning to visit japan again without having to stay sa relatives namin 😅
that's right! you have to plan for your travels.. i spent around 120k for only 9days!..my vacation in Japan was an impulsive decision.. i had a 2 weeks leave from work and i don't know where to go lol.. i applied for the visa 3 weeks before my leave and booked my ticket 4 days before my flight.. kaya 30k ung ticket ko sa PAL lol na question pa ako sa immigration sa Philippines kung bakit daw ilang days ago ko lang binook ung ticket ko.lol..and i also stayed at different hotels din kse sa Tokyo ☹️..pero ung 150k show money is legit kse for sure maaprove ka talaga nun.. Thanks Thea for these informations..as im planning to visit Japan again.. Osaka and Kyoto this time 😊
Dahil sa vlog na to, move ko muna ang Japan next year. I only hve 1 month at may 2 trips nako, bka pag dinagdag ko to mag noodles nalang ako sa Japan. Hahahah!! Thank you for this super informative video. Andito na lahat, all in one! Goodjob!

You don't have to think about the expenses sa accomodation etc.
I got a roundtrip ticket to Fukuoka for 1,799PhP :) Piso fare is lyf!
Wow, suwerte! ♥️♥️ Enjoy your trip!!

Sobrang on point lahat ng sinabi sa video na to.
Di na kami pumili ng mahal na hotel since most of our time eh nasa galaan kami.
Hi Ms.annie my marecommend kaba na murang hotel sa tokyo good for 5pax..thanks
Your channel is a good find! Very helpful information! Thank you!!
Nice. Can you share your itinerary?
Can I have a copy of your itinerary pls? :)
Galing! Worth the thumbs up and subscribe :) thank you so much

Thanks. More power!
I went japan last July 2018 for 7D6N, Osaka, Kyoto and Tokyo. We spent a total of 40k including airfare, accommodations, food and attractions.
Ilan po kau... if u dont mind me asking... kasi im planning po... bale 3 kami... me, wifey and baby... thanks in advance
Thanks SA vlog. Walang non sense na topic. Straight to the point lahat. Thnxx! Xoxo
This is definitely a budget for people doing tourist like things 😩 I would NEVER waste a trip to japan on an amusement park. Just sight seeing, walking, maybe one luxury purchase, eating and I’m gone.
Wooohhh! Ang galing..very informative. Concise and clear.
Spent 48k for 9 days in 8 cities (Manila-Nagoya-Gifu-Tokyo-MtFuji-Osaka-Kyoto-Nara-Fukuoka-Manila) *roundtrip ticket is only 1,800 via CebuPacific
Spent per day in Japan is estimated at 10k so for 9 days show money is 90k
Highly recommended to book on hostel instead of hotel/ Airbnb
Thanks for sharing, Kristine! :)
Kristine Jane Go basa ko na Lang comment you naguguluhan ako manood sq kanya SOBRANG GALAW NG HANDS
Hello I will be going to Japan this coming Feb. sulit ba ang jr pass pag tokyo- osaka then babalik ng tokyo for my return to Manila? thanks!
Visa application is very tricky. Hindi mo rin masabi. I only got 70K sa bank ( Tokyo travel for 9 days), pero I've already got a Korean visa stamped in my passport, tapos stable job ko (been employed for more than 5 years). We really need to prove the Japanese embassy na kaya mo mag-finance sa travel mo at may babalikan ka sa Pinas 😊
for shopping buy sa don quixote. :) and haneda airport is much closer to tokyo. Osaka and Kyoto places na must visit.
Sherwin Clarence Go Guys, there is a Y1000/person na bus from Narita-Tokyo Station and vice versa, or Narita-GINZA..
Thank you so much! Very informative. We are planning to go to Japan this autumn.
I worked and lived in Japan for 15 years. This country is one of those in the world where locals are very polite. Culture and tradition is adaptable.
It is true that the standard of living in Japan is not within the reach of a standard traveler. If you want to enjoy your trip at once, you have to have at lease a 100 thousand pesos in your pocket otherwise you will just regret coming over.
lady drac how much is that in USA dollars?
5000 US dollars ? For a trip of how long

Hi, I encountered an ATM machine that accepts Php, but that was in OCAT in Osaka.
glad i watched your video!! very helpful and informative!!! im excited to go na!!
Thank you.

Thank you for this!

I’m in year 8 and I’m planning to go to Japan In year 11 with two of my friends and I’m thinking of putting half of every pay check towards it, do you think I’ll have enough by year 11?
You already have work? Hehe. It depends on how much you're saving monthly.
this is so useful! very informative video! Thank you! baka someday magamit ko ito
@@kimnamjoonismypresident7785 yeah fair enough!!!

Interesting annd very helpful to me that is planning to go in aJapan, tnx a lot....
Sobrang helpful nito sakin for my upcoming Osaka trip this year. Thanks for the info. :)
Btw, thanks sa infos..we’ve been planning to visit japan again without having to stay sa relatives namin 😅
that's right! you have to plan for your travels.. i spent around 120k for only 9days!..my vacation in Japan was an impulsive decision.. i had a 2 weeks leave from work and i don't know where to go lol.. i applied for the visa 3 weeks before my leave and booked my ticket 4 days before my flight.. kaya 30k ung ticket ko sa PAL lol na question pa ako sa immigration sa Philippines kung bakit daw ilang days ago ko lang binook ung ticket ko.lol..and i also stayed at different hotels din kse sa Tokyo ☹️..pero ung 150k show money is legit kse for sure maaprove ka talaga nun.. Thanks Thea for these informations..as im planning to visit Japan again.. Osaka and Kyoto this time 😊
Grabeee super helpful ((not yet taking notes ahh)) but just want to appreciate the whole vlog! Sending Lovee and to more travel sayoo. stayy blessed 💕

Thea Sy Bautista you’re welcome, update?
What attractions can you recommend in Osaka? USJ pa lang sure sa iti ko eh 😂
Sa osaka area you may want to check out Osaka Castle, umeda sky building - check out the floating observatory, dotonbori, tsutenkaku - sila yung iconic landmarks 😊
Super bait mo nman Ms Thea, nag effort ka talaga.. Godbless🙏🏻🙏🏻
