Dino Buzzati is one of my fave authors. He’s basically the Italian Borges. I’m pretty sure you’ll love it!

Your so intriguing when you talk about the books.
Yay!!! It's always a good day when you post!!! 🌱🍃📖
I would recommend leaving the spider plant in the nursery pot, for now. It helps to keep humidity.
Finished "Fathers and Sons" by Turgenev just yesterday, also reading Jane Eyre now🥰
Currently just finished Master & Margarita .. Right now I’m starting White Nights by Dostoyevsky 💫
how was master and margarita?
@@rmt-books like a fever dream !
@@rmt-books it's one great book, my no. 1 favorite... i recommend it
Also, I'm re-reading it for 4th time now
Oh how lovely! I'm going to be hanging with a friend today, am expecting a book I'm super excited about to arrive, got some nice reading of Stendhal's 'The Red and the Black' in already, and now a delightful upload from you! This day really is turning out to be a great cozy one after some lacklustre times. Hope everyone else is doing well and things go well for you, Emma, with moving and everything else!

Seeing that you uploaded always makes my day! And currently I am reading Mort from the disc World Series.
Buzzati and Agota Kristoff are incredible!
I’m reading The Night Circus on my lunch breaks, House of Leaves in the evening and The Anthropocene Reviewed on the weekends lol. Different books for different moods. Loving all of them so far
Dropping my book just to watch this! Also, thank you so much for spoiling us with daily uploads!!
Same!
Your shirt going into your drink was a mood. I relate to that level of clumsiness. I feel that.
The island of sea women by Lisa See is also about the haenyeo of jeju but it’s set slightly earlier at the start of WW2. I really liked it and it really opened my eyes to the way the local people were treated during the occupation and what these women went through to provide for their families
I really enjoyed reading that book too, it was really enlightening about the way of life on the island, its traditions and people's history
currently reading One Hundred Years of Solitude & loving it so far
your videos are so calming! :) and a great hideout for fellow bookworms like me!
aaaa i hope ur move goes swiftly!! sending much love x
I’m taking break from uni and Also tbh from everything, my UA-cam notifications are full and I don’t care only for your notification bc i know your videos, your calm voice will make me in a good moood .

Awe thank you, I hope so too!!

Such a beautiful cozy vlog ! 💜
Time flies with your vids! In a short time you became one of the people I feel some kind of mental connection with. You are very sweet and bright! By the way, that glass mug with golden shinies and winter trees is amazing...Also loved the cream cardigan and transparent earrings!
I was planning to read "The Goldfinch", but something is continuously stopping me. It's a massive book and I have a lot on my tbr already. Thanks for sharing your opinion on this
The Notebook by Agota Kristof is one of my favourite books!
Oh I am so excited for this vlog!
You're so creative with creating more space for books haha i loved the idea of the overturned shelf😅
if you’re looking for more books about the Haenyeo and Jeju i HIGHLY recommend reading The Island of Sea Women by Lisa See!!It is very similar to The Mermaid of Jeju and incorporates a lot of the same historical elements. I absolutely LOVED it! One of my favorite books I read last year 🌊 💜
It also feels VERY personal and intimate so if you didn’t feel that way in The Mermaid of Jeju I definitely recommend this one
yaay! excited for the move.
currently reading Sophie's World and a couple others.
Been readin the dawn of day by friedrich nietzsche. It’s great. It’s a lot. Can only take about twenty, thirty pages a day. I recommend it.
Ugh I love your ghibili decor ❤️❤️❤️ your videos are so wholesome!!!!
these vlogs comfort me after a cry sesh
Finishing Italo Calvino's "Invisible Cities" - dual reading with original by side so it's taking me a while to read it, but it's a great experience.
The Goldfinch was definitely trying at times to get through, but it's definitely worth the journey! Also your outfit is absolutely adorable today! Really good taste!
I love these vlogs🥺❤️
EYYYYYYY back at it again with the good stuff!!!!! Just finished reading "The Dark Descent of Elizabeth Frankenstein" as well!!!
Ooh I LOVED that one, how’d you like it?

yayy! thats so exciting! excited for the moving vlogs! =D 🏠
The lamp reminds me of Dr. Finkelstein’s house in The Nightmare Before Christmas.
we're truly spoiled by your content huhu
Hope you have more bookshelf space in your new apartment.
I just finished my book of the month pick this week, I get to read my add-ons next, but that library is gorgeous, but not much has been going on just my physics class lol
Thank you for asking what we've been reading 🥰 I'm working on learning Russian and reading Laurus by Eugene Vodolazkin. It's set in Russia during the middle ages. and it reminds me of Gabo, whom I know you looooove 🥰
Hope you find a new place that you love!
godspeed and good luck with moving all the books
my back hurts just thinking about moving them all haha
i love the e. t. lamp 😌
No need to say how grateful I am for your Frankenstein In Baghdad rec, absolutely loving it.Don't do your back in hauling around all those weighty tomes!❤️
Just about finished with Things Fall Apart, reading the Prophet slowly to really appreciate it (which I am), and tomorrow I'm starting up Never Let Me Go by Ishiguro.
just finished Vox and now onto the stranger in the woods by michael finkel which looks soooo interesting!
Good luck with your move! I recently moved to a different state and couldn’t bring my bookshelves with me.
hey emma, i just wanna say that your videos and Carolyn's channel are helpful and calming. You have helped me through my father's covid days. I just lost my dad around 10 hours ago. I know that God loves him more. Now I can't even read Anna Karenina. It's because every time my late father used to ask about what page that I'm on. Currently, I'm grieving, we'll be fine. Love, Felicia
congratulations on moving to a new place! 🏠 ❤️
Thank you!! I'm so excited :')
Great new vlog..I got a big book haul coming soon..adorable new plants
Currently reading Forget me not by Ellie Terry ❄️❄️
Very random comment, but your outfit at around 5mins is just absolutely perfect!! Also, a wonderfully calming and inspiring video as always 🧡
I was watching another one of your videos and was checking your page that’s how I got so early
Currently reading Anna Karenina at night and The God of Small Things during the day! 🌿 finished De Profundis last night and cried like a baby...
Early (ish) 💕 I hope you love the new place.
i'm so happy about your hunarian book :) i'm whatching you from hungary, so "hi!" i did not read that book, but hungarian literature is really good, soooo i hope you'll/you've enjoy that
I just finished Monster, She Wrote. :D A very cool book about the hidden or less famous woman authors who helped pioneer horror and speculative fiction. Excellent to extend my tbr with more classic women writers. :)
I love your videos! They are so calming. I've been reading Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi; it's so good.
aaaaaahhhhhhhh my day is made
I can relate about The Goldfinch. I think it's a good novel and worth reading, and on occasion there were parts that really hit home for me. Particularly the parts in Vegas. But, it did feel like there's long stretches where nothing happened. Not to backseat Donna Tartt to much, this won a Pulitzer after all, but it felt like a lot of material could have been cut down so the book didn't feel so drawn out.
I agree! I'm reading it right now, and it's not bad, but it's just incredibly slow ://
Thanks for such amazing content Emma.
Your videos are always so comforting and relaxing
Just finished 'Secret Lives of Color' by Kassia St. Clair! Started 'War of the Worlds' by H. G. Wells!
I read The Secret Lives of Color this year! So interesting!!
Ooh lala ❤️❤️
